Ever since Blaine woke up this morning, he's been acting strange, he won't speak, walk or eat proper solid foods.
"Blaine, you know how to speak, you're two years not two months" I tell him as I pass over his toast but he just looks at me.
"What's going on?" Sebastian comes down.
"Blaine acting strange, he won't eat his toast or talk normally" I sigh, feeling a bit out of place.
"Hey, it's ok, maybe after breakfast, we'll take him to the doctors" Sebastian explains.
"Ok"
"Now, why won't you speak, mister, huh?" Sebastian coos as he goes over to Blaine.
"Aaahhh" he babbles.
"See?"
"Ok, maybe a bottle for now" Sebastian says as he goes and grabs a bottle and puts in water and some milk powder.
"What are you doing? He has normal milk now" I say.
"Don't worry, I think I have an idea of what's going on" he says.
"And what's that exactly?" I ask him.
"Well, he's babbling and not eating proper solids so I say he's regressing" he explains.
"No no no no no" I sigh as I put my head in my hands.
"What? What's the matter?"
"I don't think I can handle it again" I say.
"What? What'd you mean?"
"Before I met you, he was already a newborn and he's just grown up like a real baby" I explain.
"Well, maybe he won't be a newborn, I mean like I said, he's babbling so that's a good thing"
"Ok, let's just get breakfast and get to the doctors, I need to know what's going on" I say. We quickly have breakfast, Blaine only having milk before getting ready.
"Come on you, let's get dressed" I coo as I take him out of the highchair. I take him upstairs and change his nappy before putting him in a white vest, some navy blue joggers with milk on them, a long sleeve navy blue shirt and some navy blue socks.
"Ok, let's see what's going on with you" I say as I pick him up again.
"We ready to go?" Bas asks once we get downstairs.
"Yeah, how old do you think he might be?" I ask him.
"I don't know, I mean he's holding his head up and babbling so I'd say around 6/7 months, why?"
"Well, I have a rear facing car seat so until we know his exact age, I'll have to use that for now" I explain.
"Urm, ok"
"Take him please" I say.
"Ok, come 'ere, you" he coos as he takes Blaine out of my arms. I go to the car and swap his old car seat for the rear facing one.
"Come on then, let's go" I call out.
"Come 'ere baby" I coo as I take Blaine off of Sebastian and clip him into the seat.
"We ready?"
"Yeah" I sigh.
"Hey, it's gonna be ok and no matter what, I'm gonna be with you every step of the way" Sebastian reassures me.
"Thanks" is all I mange to say. We soon head down to the doctors and head in to book an appointment. We sit in the waiting room and Blaine starts to fuss.
"Hey, what's all this fussing for, huh?" Sebastian coos at him as he sat on my lap.
"He's probably bored"
"Give 'im 'ere, I'll have him for a bit" he says as he took him off me anyway.
"Hey buddy, hey" Sebastian coos.
"Blaine Anderson?" Our doctor calls through.
"So, what's the problem?" Dr. Cole asks.
"Blaine has been acting much like a baby, we don't know what age but Sebastian thinks about 6/7 months" I explain.
"Ok, does he babble or show any signs of being around that age?" He asks.
"Yeah, he babbles, as you can see, he's got his head up by himself"
"Can he crawl?"
"Urm, we don't know actually, he hasn't been put down today"
"Well, let's try it out, even if it's just sitting up by himself" Dr. Cole says. Sebastian stands up and places Blaine on the floor, making sure to be close incase he couldn't sit up by himself. He manages to sit up by himself and turns around so he could see Sebastian.
"Hey baby" he coos as he kisses his cheek.
"Well, he's sitting up fine and acting like a 6 month old" Dr. Cole says.
"I'll just check him over and you can be on you way" he says as he starts looking for things.
"So, what is the problem? Why is he acting like this?" I ask.
"Honestly, I don't know, he may be like this for a couple days then become two again or he could be like this for the next couple hours and then become an 11 month old, so his age will probably vary, it will probably range from 6 months to 2 years but no older or no younger than that" he explains.
"Ok" he checks Blaine's eyes, ears and mouth.
"Now, I'm so sorry about this but he does need at least one shot in the arm, but I promise that's it and the reason for him to have a shot in the arm is so that if he does do different ages then that way he might not get infected or ill by anything unless it's the season" he explains.
"Ok, that's fine"
"Ok, buddy, I'm sorry" he says as he stuck an needle in Blaine's arm, who then starts to cry.
"Aww, it's ok" Sebastian soothes as he turns him around and hugs him to his chest. We soon finish up and head back to the car but Blaine was fussing about getting into his seat.
"Look, what's this?" I coo as I pull out some plastic rings and shake them in front of him.
He soon quiets down and we finally manage to get him clipped into his seat.
"Right, where to now?" Bas asks.
"Urm to the baby store" I say. We make our way there and we put Blaine into the trolley before heading in.
"Aww, Bas, look at these" I coo as I hold up a three pack of bodysuits.
"Aww, look, it's got matching sleep suits and muslin cloths" I coo as I showed him the other two products.
"We are so buying these" I say as I put them into the trolley. We soon look around more before Blaine started fussing again.
"Ok, baby, nearly done" I coo as we finish up buying things that we need for now. We pay for the things before heading back out to the car and unloading the shopping. Sebastian took the trolley back whilst I try to put Blaine in his seat, I tried the toys again but he didn't like that.
"What's up? Is he not getting into his seat?" Sebastian asks.
"No, but I've tried the toys, so maybe he's hungry" I say.
"I'll make a bottle" Sebastian says. He quickly makes a bottle and shows Blaine, who calms down, I finally get Blaine into his seat and Sebastian passed him his bottle. We soon get home and Blaine had fell asleep.
"How the hell are we going to move him without disturbing him?" I ask Sebastian.
"I'll get him" Sebastian says. He gets one hand behind his neck and the other one under his knees before getting him out without disturbing him.
"Wow" I say as he also managed to put him closer to his chest. I grab the shopping and we head in, Sebastian takes Blaine upstairs whilst I unloaded the shopping.
"Right, he's down" Sebastian says as he put the monitor on the side. Sebastian and I decided to have a small break as everything was already tidy so we watched some T.V. instead for a bit. It soon got close to dinner time so we decided to start on that when Blaine woke up.
"I'll go get him" I say as I make my way upstairs and into his room.
"Hey baby" I coo as I get him out and take him to his changing table.
"Are you hungry, my boy?" I coo as I change his nappy. He soon settles down and I finish up with changing his nappy, I then take him downstairs.
"Hey, he's six months old, so he can have baby food, can't he?" Bas asks.
"Yeah, I think so" I say.
"Let's just try and see how he goes" Sebastian pulls out a food jar while I clip Blaine into his highchair.
"Here, buddy, want some?" Sebastian coos as he holds a small spoonful to Blaine's mouth, who obliges to it.
"Good job" we praise him. Sebastian feeds him whilst I sort both our dinners out. A few minutes later and apparently Blaine was finished.
"Urm ok, what are we gonna do?" I ask.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, he can't sit in his highchair the whole time while we eat and no ones in the living room to watch him" I explain.
"Good point, is there anything else we can put him in for now?" He asks.
"Let me go look, I'll be quick" I say as I rush off. I soon find a walker and take it back to Sebastian.
"Here, he can waddle around -if he can- in this" I say as I unfold it.
"Oh wow, look at that buddy" Sebastian coos as he gets Blaine out and places him in there.
"Here baby, want a dummy?" I say as I pass him his dummy. We go back to our dinner and I serve it up, by the time we got back to the table, Blaine was still stood there as he just played with the toys so I set my plate down and turned him around so he could see us incase he started fussing. We soon eat our dinner and we were soon nearly done when Blaine started fussing.
"Alright baby, nearly done" we try and soothe. At first it was just whining but then he started to cry.
"Ok baby" I sigh as I get up, go over to him and pick him up.
"There we are" I soothe as I pat his back whilst walking back to the table. I sit down with him on my lap and he tries to reach for my food.
"Ah ah ah" I say as I push my plate back a little and he starts to cry again.
"Aww, I'm sorry baby" I coo as I kiss the top of his head.
"Where did those keys go?" Sebastian asks.
"Urm, I think they're on the sofa" I say. He grabs the keys and Blaine was soon interested in those whilst we finished our dinner.
"Ok, mister, let's go play for a bit" I say as we all head into the living room. I sit Blaine down on the floor and Sebastian and I sit with him. We play with him for a bit before it was bath and bed time. I take him up as Sebastian offered to tidy the living room and clean the kitchen. I give Blaine a bath and just as I was about to put him into some pyjamas, Sebastian comes up.
"How's my little boy?" Sebastian coos as he comes over and kisses his head. I put Blaine into a fresh nappy, a short white sleeve bodysuit and some Mickey Mouse pyjamas.
"My baby is fresh and ready for bed" Sebastian smiles as he picks him up.
"Ready to go night night?" I coo as we kiss him before Sebastian laid him down in his cot. We pass him his bottle and made sure he had everything before leaving the room. We get ready for bed ourselves and made a little reminder to tell everyone about Blaine's situation before they come over incase Blaine got overwhelmed with too many people.
"Night babe, I love you"
"Night, I love you too" we kiss each other goodnight before snuggling with one another and going to sleep.
