--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I do not own the characters of TV show teen wolf such as Scott, Derek, Allison, Stiles, and so on. I do not own the show teen wolf. I do not own the ideas of the TV show Teen Wolf. (Though I wish I could be such an amazing writer as the writer of Teen Wolf!!!) I do own my characters such as Emily and her friend Stephanie, and Sean because I created them.

Chapter 21

-Emily's POV:

I watched as the person under Derek started to calm down. It was as if they were realizing that they had no chance of escape or getting towards me.

"What is he doing here Derek?" Scott asked in a very angry tone as he moved closer to me.

I glanced at Scott and could see the anger in his eyes.

"Don't ask questions. Just get Emily out of here. He isn't safe for her to be around right now." Derek growled and just as Scott reached my side I spoke up.

"Wait? Who is he?" I said without realizing it as Scott started to have me leave. "No. I'm not going anywhere until you three tell me what's going on."

It wasn't until then that I noticed the stranger's blonde hair. It was frighteningly similar to Sean's. That little detail really bothered me but there was no way Sean's eyes would glow yellow.

Scott moved to make me leave the kitchen but I stopped him again.

"Who is this guy?" I asked, pushing away from Scott and making my way towards Derek and the stranger.

I still couldn't see their face and I felt like I had a right to know whom this person was and why they were here after me. Especially from where I was standing, this person looked a little too similar to Sean. By now, the person was no longer struggling and I could see that Derek's grip on him was loosening ever so slightly.

"Please Em, just trust me." Derek said in an almost begging tone. It was as if he didn't want me to see who this person was.

"It's ok. You are all here so I'm not in any danger, right?" I said quietly to Derek.

Derek took a deep breath, realizing that my stubbornness would win once again in this situation.

Scott was quickly behind me as I reached the two and knelt down to get a better look at the intruder. Derek's grip tightened once again on the person as he started to sit up, bringing the stranger with him.

"Get up." Derek growled at the stranger.

My eyes widened as I stared at the all too familiar face in front of me.

"Isaac?" I whispered, watching how his glowing, yellow eyes stared back at me.

It was like something snapped in Isaac as his name left my lips. He blinked a few times and before I knew it, his eyes had changed back to their normal bluish color.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't know Isaac that well but we did have class together. He was quiet and we barely talked except for that time I accidentally bumped into him in the hallway.

I was torn from my thoughts as I suddenly felt Scott grab my arm and quickly pull me back from Isaac. I was about to snap at Scott because he had grabbed my arm with my hurt hand until my eyes met with Isaac's again but this time his eyes had turned a feral yellow once again.

Isaac thrashed, trying to get away from Derek as if he was a wild animal trapped in a cage. It was like he had become stronger in just seconds. Just as it looked like Isaac was about to get away from Derek, Scott rushed past me towards the two.

I cringed as Scott's fist slammed into Isaac's chin and his body went limp. Derek released his hold on Isaac and Isaac fell to the tile floor unconscious.

"He's a werewolf too?" I asked confused, my voice raising as I spoke.

"She doesn't know?" Scott asked in an almost mocking tone towards Derek.

Derek stood up from Isaac before he glared at Scott. Derek's piercing green eyes then met mine.

"You didn't tell her?" Stiles asked with a huge smile, "Oh, this is going to be good."

"Ok. What is going on?" I asked.

The room was silent except for Derek.

"We need to talk." Derek said to only me and his eyes stayed on me.

Derek stepped over Isaac before he left, moving into the living room. I nodded my head before I made my way into the living room after him. I kept my eyes on Isaacs's unconscious body as I passed him along the way. The bruise on his cheek that Scott had inflicted had already started to heal.

I sat down on the couch. It felt like I was holding my breath as I prepared for whatever they were about to say. Derek stood next to me, leaning against the couch. Scott sat next to me on the opposite side of the couch while Stiles chose to stand against the wall away from us.

It was quiet once again before I spoke up.

"Someone needs to explain to me what's going on." I said getting aggravated.

"Why is he in my home?" I pointed towards Isaac in the kitchen. As much as I hated to admit it, I felt bad for Isaac as he laid on the cold kitchen floor unconscious.

"I don't know, why don't you tell her Derek?" Scott said and I could literally see Derek tense up in the corner of my eye, yet he said nothing.

I carefully placed my hand on Derek's hand, which was resting right next to me on the couch, silently telling him to try and relax. I could feel his muscles under my finger tips begin to loosen as he calmed.

"Scott and Stiles," I started and both of them looked up at me, "Since you two obviously already know what's going on, could you please give us a minute?"

Scott looked like he was going to protest but stopped as I spoke up.

"Please." I asked, "Just a minute, ok?"

Stiles' smile dropped from his face as he saw how serious I was. I was in no mood to mess around right now. I didn't feel well and I wanted to know exactly what was happening.

Stiles glanced at Scott before he made his way out of the room. Scott stayed for a few more moments before he mumbled an 'ok' and left.

My eyes fell to the floor in front of me as Derek took a deep breath before he stepped in front of me and then took a seat next to me. My eyes crept along the floor until they reached Isaac's unconscious body.

"He is going to be ok, right?" I asked quietly.

"All of this just happened and your first question is if the person that attacked you is ok?" Derek asked.

I sat back on the couch and looked over at Derek who looked just as serious as I was.

"No. I really wanted to know if he is ok, if any of this is ok, if I am ok?" I asked, feeling myself grow slightly panicked.

I thought I had hidden my small panic attack but I should have known better. It wasn't long before Derek's hand was on my leg.

"Is he a new werewolf?" I asked, my fingers digging into the cloth couch without realizing it.

"Yes." Derek answered but before he could say anything else, I was already asking another question.

"When was he turned?"

"Not to long ago. Em..." Derek started but I interrupted once again.

"Is there another alpha out there turning people?"

"Emily." Derek finally said, his voice rising ever so slightly.

I looked up at Derek and couldn't help but feel lost in his green eyes. His eyes were filled with worry and what looked like regret.

"I'm sorry." I said, taking a deep breath.

"It's alright." Derek replied.

"I just need an answer."

"There isn't another alpha out there." Derek finally answered my previous question.

"So how did he turn then?" I asked, my eyes narrowing.

"I can explain." Derek told me.

Realization hit me hard. I felt my breath catch.

"You turned him?" I whispered.

Derek was silent for a few moments before he nodded his head. He knew there was no way to hide this fact. He bent over so that his forearms were resting on his knees. He looked deep in thought, like he had so much to say to me.

"W...Why?" I stuttered.

"I have my reasons." Derek started, "You have to trust me."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"It was for your safety Em. There are things that you don't know yet."

"Then tell me." I said, my voice growing louder, "I thought you said there would be no more secrets?"

"Em, this was not a secret. I needed to deal with a few things before I told you about Isaac." Derek said, obviously starting to feel more uncomfortable of the situation.

I really didn't know what to say. I wasn't angry with Derek; I just wish that he had told me about Isaac.

"You have to understand Emily that there is still danger out there." Derek said, his body growing tense.

"I believe you." I replied but before I could answer, a noise in the kitchen stopped me.

We both looked over to the kitchen just in time to see Scott move towards Isaac who was still lying on the ground.

"Scotts been listening to everything we have been saying, hasn't he?"

A small grin appeared on Derek's face as he nodded once.

"He's waking up." Scott said as he motioned towards Isaac but his piercing eyes never left Derek.

Derek stood up and to my disappointment moved past me towards the kitchen.

"He needs to be out of here before he is completely conscious." Scott demanded; his annoyance for the whole situation was obvious.

Derek said nothing as he knelt down at Isaac's level. I stood up as I saw Isaac slowly begin to move. I wasn't sure if I should be concerned or frightened by Isaac waking up. I took small steps towards the kitchen but Derek stopped me.

"Please stay there." Derek told me, as he looked up towards me.

I stopped at his words, seeing the seriousness in his face.

I nodded my head as I continued to watch the scene unfolding in front of me.

Derek carefully rolled Isaac over so that he was lying on his back. I could barely see Isaac's eyes fluttering open.

"His eyes are normal again." Scott mumbled to Derek but I still understood him.

"I need to get him out of here in case that changes." Derek replied.

I felt like I was in the way when both Scott and Derek helped Isaac to his feet. Isaac definitely could not stand on his own and he looked like he was completely out of it. I wasn't going to complain though.

I felt an odd uneasiness come over me as Derek started to head towards the door with Isaac's arm draped over his shoulders. I had little to no answers and Derek was leaving, without a word. Something seemed off with Derek but nothing so bad that he would leave without saying anything.

I opened my mouth to tell Derek to stop but nothing came out. Frustration couldn't even begin to explain how I felt. They had all promised to not keep any secrets anymore and here we are. I heard the front door open then close and soon it was silent inside the house. I could hear Scott and Derek talking outside but I tuned it out.

Without a single thought, I quickly left the living room, which was the opposite way of the front door. I then reached the backdoor.

"Em?"

I paused while taking a deep breath, knowing that I had been caught.

I turned to see Stiles, leaning against the wall.

"Where do you think you're going?" Stiles asked with a smirk.

"To get some fresh air." I replied. It wasn't exactly a lie.

"It's pretty dark outside you know?" Stiles said as he took a few steps towards me.

"I'm not afraid of the dark." I teased with a smile even though my smile felt fake and not natural considering how I felt right now.

"So did he tell you everything?" Stiles asked.

"Not as much as I hoped." I said quieter, "So you knew about this too?"

Stiles eyes widened as if he had been caught, "Yes but I thought, you know, Derek would have said something by now."

My gaze turned to the floor. Stiles was absolutely right. Why had Derek kept this from me? Why had anyone kept this from me?

"Can you do me a favor?" I suddenly asked.

"It depends." Stiles' mischievous smile returned.

"I need you to keep Scott and Derek, if he is still here, busy for just a little bit." I pleaded.

"For what?" He asked in a suspicious tone, but quickly perked up and seemed to be angry for a few seconds, "You are not going out tonight Emily McCall. It is too dangerous. Do you not even remember that weird lizard freak is still out there?"

I couldn't help but laugh at Stiles as he began to waves his arms around while he continued to list all the reasons the reasons why I was not allowed to go out tonight.

"Stiles." I smiled.

"No! I am not finished." Stiles interrupted, "Why are you smiling anyway? This isn't a joke Em!"

"I know it isn't but you don't have anything to worry about." I replied.

"And whys that?" Stiles said crossing his arms.

"I am not going anywhere alone." I replied.

"Who is going with you, because Derek looked a little preoccupied and Scott and I have practice tonight?" Stiles said.

"Sean." I replied.

"Oh." Stiles said as he visibly relaxed, "Why didn't you tell me that earlier?"

I rolled my eyes in a playful manner, "So can you keep them busy or not?"

"Of course." Stiles smiled, "What else am I here for?"

"Thanks Stiles." I said as I quickly hugged him.

"Just be careful ok? I can't lose my favorite sister again. There has been too many close calls lately." Stiles said as he ruffled my hair.

I glared at him but I appreciate what he had said.

"Thanks again." I said as I opened the backdoor while I ran my fingers through my hair to fix an loose strands Stiles had caused.

I closed the door behind me but not before I saw Stiles quickly making his way towards the front door to do what he does best.

As I stepped onto the back porch, I could hear Derek's car in the front quickly driving away from my house.

I knew he would probably come back later tonight but I didn't want to wait for answers. I needed as many answers as quickly and as soon as possible.

The cold late afternoon air swirled around me as I stared out at our back yard. I looked down at Scott's phone which I still was borrowing until I got a new phone and dialed Sean's number.

I pulled my jacket around me tighter as another gust of cold air hit me, making the little amount of exposed skin feel frozen. The phone only rang two or three times before Sean picked up the line.

"Hey Scott. I am kind of busy. Can I call you later?" Sean's voice filled my ear through the phone.

"Actually, it's Emily." I replied.

It was silent for a few seconds before Sean replied.

"Em? What are you doing with Scott's phone? Are you all right?" He asked, his voice growing serious.

"I am ok." I started.

"Just ok?" Sean chuckled.

"Yes. I will explain later. You said you were busy?" I asked, feeling like my plan was about to crumble already.

"Well," Sean started and it sounded like there was paper being moved around in the background, "I'm not really that busy."

"Is that the truth?" I asked with a smile, "Because when you thought it was Scott, you seemed like you couldn't spare a second."

"I can take a break from filing reports when ever I feel like it." Sean said and by the tone in his voice, I knew he was smirking, "I need a break anyway. What's up?"

"I was just going to ask you a favor."

Sean hummed his approval and I heard what sounded like another page being turned.

"I wanted to know if you could take me to go see Dr. Deaton."

The line went silent as my words sunk in.

"Are you sure?" Sean asked, "Derek met with him earlier today and received no information from him. We don't know him and we have no idea if we can trust him now."

"That's why I am asking you if you can come with me." I replied.

Sean sighed, "Does Derek know about this?"

"No." I mumbled.

"Are you two ok? You seem off."

"Yes. I just need answers and no one is giving me them." I said, my voice louder than before.

Sean let out a puff of air before he replied.

"Alright. I'll leave the station in a few minutes. Are you at your house?"

"Yes, but if you really are busy..." I began.

"Don't worry about it Em." Sean laughed. I knew he didn't like the idea of going and meeting Deaton but I at least appreciated the fact that he was letting me find answers.

"Thank you." I replied.

"See you in a little bit."

"One more thing." I cringed, knowing this last detail could make or break me, "Could you pick me up one street over? My brother has no idea I am going."

"Em, you are going to get me killed." Sean groaned.

"Thank you Sean." I said before I hung up.

I could only hope that I would get more answers tonight rather than left behind once again. If no one else was going to tell me anything, I would find out everything on my own.
