I hate him. If I could just stuff him with a pillow. And pretend he attempted suicide that would be amazing.

Apparently, Adrian had thought that the best place for sight seeing would be the National Museum of War in Scotland. I wanted to punch him. Nothing was interesting here other than old machine guns and war craft.

Just as another yawn was about to escape my lips, I heard someone calling me from behind. I turned to see, Axcel walking towards me. Uncertain, of what reaction to give, I settled in for a subtle smile. Once, he did reach me he took my hand and gave the back of my palm a kiss.

Which surprised me, as I wasn't aware of his courteous antics. He moved back, and gave me one of his regular smiles again.
"So Mrs. Vittorio, what a pleasant surprise to see you here, but out of curiosity what brings you here, you don't seem a girl interested in war craft much".

I smiled, and shook my head.
"Oh no. Not at all, its Adrian's idea of sightseeing apparently, we were-"

"Aileyyy... how many times do I have to tell you not to stop in places like these, you could get los- what are you doing here?"

Adrian came from behind me but his entire exterior changed the moment he saw who was standing in front of us. As if the coldness in his eyes returned and the ruthless behavior emerged again probably coursing through his veins. To tell you the truth standing between two men who look like they are ready to kill can be pretty scary, the tension in the room could be easily scooped with an ice cream scoop.

To make things worse, Axcel decided to open his mouth and speak, "My Adrian, is that how you treat an old friend, the last time you questioned my invite, now you question me meeting your beautiful and smart wife here, I must say, you mustn't be so irresponsible about her, someone might come and snatch her right in front of you".

If the look that Adrian had on his face was directed towards me I would have already accepted defeat and found my way 6 ft underground. Suddenly, Adrian grabbed my hand pushing me behind him, he gave Axcel a nod that pretty much said 'don't come near or I will kill you', not that I could blame him, what Axcel had said had infuriated me too, I mean I wasn't some kind of object or property that someone would try to claim.
"Come on now... Must everything end in violence Ad"
Adrian smirked, "Not like it ended last time with you mate".
This caused Axcel to frown, but then he smiled again and replied with yet another more cocky expression, "Of course, you wouldn't wish your wife to see the broken state you were in when I was chosen over you"
Oh dear. Adrian was about explode, i could feel his body tense up and fingers curl into whitening fists.
Grabbing my hand in a tightening grip he started walking in another direction. My hand started to hurt from his vice grip, "Adrian... you're hurting me... what is so wrong".
Without saying a word Adrian pushed me inside the car and told the driver to take us back to our suite.
"What is wrong with you, what happened back there?"

"Ailey! Its wise of you to keep your mouth shut, you have done nothing but disappointed me again, it was on Mother's request I decided to give you chance, but again you made the mistake of throwing my trust the minimal as it may be out the window"
A tear rolled down my cheek, this was exactly, what I was fearful off, what are the chances of the fact that he would change, his temper was his worst enemy, he wouldn't control it and he would definitely shatter me into pieces again, the irony of the situation, no matter how stronger I felt on the inside, a small whimper was the only thing that came out of my mouth, without another word, I shifted in my seat holding on to the leather tightly, feeling my fists turning white.

Warm fingers encapsulated my fists and turned them over and no sooner Adrian's warm voice whispered in my ears,
"You do know, the more you tighten your fist the more your nails are going to hurt your hands later and besides this isn't my car its a rented one".

With a heavy sigh, I channeled my inner goddess to make the possible most darkest glare I could come up with and  turned towards him; he had somehow managed to control his temper I could still, notice the tensed shoulders and how he might just snap if treated in the wrong manner. My patience was near to breaking too, it had been played and crushed far too many times, either by Evelyn, Adrian, and now Axcel.

Degrading me, like some kind of trophy had made me so mad, that if it weren't for Adrian, I would have slapped Axcel my self. And if that hadn't been enough Adrian's on and off mood swings were starting to make me feel even more confused than ever about what more life is going to throw at me.
Adrian noticed my dire need to either explode or scream at him, he immediately uncurled his hand from mine and sighed deeply, "look Ailey, I know I shouldn't have taken my anger out on you, it was absurd of me to do so and somehow you end up getting on the bad end everytime, I am sorry ok, Axcel and I have some bad history, nothing you should worry about, but please stay away from him".

As much I wanted to stay mad at him, the sincere look in his eyes and pretty much my generosity just wouldn't accept it, I nodded at him with a glum look.

"Fine Adrian, you will have to earn your forgiveness".

A smirk appeared on Adrian's adorable lips, and with a wink he nodded back, his fingers, that had uncurled in defeat wrapped around my fingers again and he lifted my hand to kiss the back of it, just as his soft lips were about to touch my hand, I pulled it away to Adrian's surprise, "Not so fast, I said earn your forgiveness, I believe you still owe me a good sight seeing trip, something which isn't about Warcraft".

Adrian laughed, the sound of his laughter so carefree and relaxed, it seemed the person sitting next to me was someone completely new, not the angry young man I had married but a carefree boy who didn't have to pretend to be responsible prim and proper all the time.
"Ailey, I am sorry if I bored you, how about a trip to the town and we can have food in one of their pizzeria or cafe if that pleases you".

As much I wanted to jump with glee, the thought of punishing him more with my silent treatment was more appealing, so I nodded with a smile approving his suggestion.

The car whizzed on the smooth road in accordance to the directions Adrian had given to the chauffeur and no sooner than later we were standing in front of a small vintage themed cafe, the sweet smell of brewing coffee and freshly baked buns entered my nostrils as we entered.

The place was as comfy and beautiful from within as it was from outside, ornate flowers, wooden furniture, comfy light colored curtains, it all made the entire room look even more dreamy than it was supposed to.

"You love this place don't you?"

Adrian's said all of a sudden, making me bring my attention back to him from the different carvings on the furniture. I smiled and nodded, "It's just so comfy and quiet over here, I could just sit in this big chair and grab a good book sip on coffee and sigh".

"I really am sorry about before Ailey... so as my punishment whatever you wanna eat its on me".

A sneaky smile appeared on my lips, "The offer is highly appreciated Adrian, either way you were going to pay for the food weren't you".

Another carefree laughter was erupted from the back of throat making my belly do one of its infamous somersaults, dear me; he has to stop laughing so beautifully in front of me, the weird butterflies in my belly would return and I am still uncertain of them.

Soon the waitress arrived on our table, her red pouty lips, and long pointy nails reminded me of Evie's obsession with red lipsticks, I on the other hand preferred nudes, a squeaky wannabe voice was heard, "So sir what may I get you, maybe coffee, maybe breadsticks or something more...?"

What the actual? The nerve of this girl, I am this man's wife for crying out loud, where has the dignity of all women gone?

I slam my hand on the table angrily, making her jump a little and glare at me, I bring my self forward and look her square in the eyes, "Sir would like scrambled eggs with slightly toasted bread, cappuccino with extra sugar and a slice of your chocolate decadence cake, as for me it will be a chocolate chip muffin with a smoked chicken bagel sandwich and a cup of hot tea, that will be all, I am sure you have other customers waiting to take orders from, please do hurry".

Once she left, Adrian looked up at me from his cell phone, a smirk on that perfect face, which I would love to pummel right now.

"How could you let her just flirt with you like that?"

"How could you be so fiery? Ailey I had no idea you had such a spark within you".

"Oh just zip it".

As soon we had our brunch, I fell in love with place more, the ambiance, the food all was good, well except for that waitress with the pointy nails.

Once out of the cafe, Adrian turned towards me,
"Wanna go for carriage ride?"

As soon the question was delivered my eyes blossomed and I eagerly nodded my head.
The carriage rode along the exquisite green fields of Scotland and I felt as if I was some princess, my hair gushing through the wind, the sunny weather, it felt so lively.
I smiled, as a warm hand encapsulated mine while we both sat enjoying the view, the silence between us, not an uncomfortable one but one that was not only based on forgiveness but also new beginnings.

Hey guys! I am back ! I know I know I have been away since loooong and I deserve all the hate you guys have for me right now, the truth is I had a horrible writer's block and well final years are tough. Well worry not I shall try to update again very soon.
