Gerald’s POV:
He can’t control his emotions when she told me that it might be better, if we walked-away on our feelings. I can’t control the burning emotions I am controlling inside me and kissed her with relentless passion to my delight she returned it with equal intensity. I can’t get enough of her and kissed her neck and peck it several times when I felt her growing desire I stopped and asked her
Gerald: Now tell me, why do we need to walk away from this feeling?
She looked deeply into my eye and answered me
Sarah: I am sorry if I asked you to. Naguguluhan lang ako, Ge.
Gerald: Babe, lets work on us please don’t give up on us. We will weather this, Babe. We will I assured her.
Sarah: Babe, mahirap pala noh akala ko madali lang. Sabi ko sa sarili ko pagnawala na siya magiging ok na tayo pero hindi pala ganun yun.
Hinawakan ko lang ang kamay ni Sarah at sinabi na
Gerald: I Love You, Sarah please hold on to that.
Hindi na sila natuloy sa Ice Cream Parlor, they both decided na ihahatid niya na lang si Sarah sa Ayala Shuttle Terminal para makauwi na. Napansin niya na medyo napagod na si Sarah dala ng mga emosyon na hinarap nila ngayon araw na ito. Pagdating nila sa shuttle terminal hinatid niya si Sarah kung saan nakapark ang mga shuttle na pauwi sa kanila.
Gerald: Babe, sakay ka na sa van gusto mo ba intayin ko hanggang makaalis ang shuttle?
Sarah: Hindi na, Babe okay lang ako pagkasakay ko alis ka na para makapagpahinga ka rin. Ingat ka sa pag drive.
Gerald: Okay, Babe nag beso it okay kay Sarah at sabay bulong ng I Love You
Ngumit lang si Sarah at nag I Love you din kay Gerald.
Two weeks had pass they tried to enjoy each others company. Gerald made sure that he secures Sarah of his feelings for her para mabawasan ang mga worries nito. He visits Sarah’s house every weekend. They both told her parents about their relationship the week they became officially a couple. Sarah never mentioned to him if her parents approved of their relationship and he never asked. Just let it be sabi niya sa sarili. He and Gilbert also never talked about what happened between him and Bea. One morning Gilbert entered his office.
Gilbert: Ge, can we talked
Gerald: What about, bro
Gilbert: I am worried about Bea. Hindi siya kumakain madalas nakakulong sa kuwarto. Tinatanong ko kung kailangan ng tulong hindi naman ako kinakausap. Bro, alam ko what happened and labas ako sa inyo pero baka puwede mo naman kausapin si Bea baka sa iyo makinig.
Gerald: Bert, galit na galit pa siya sa akin nung huli kaming nagkita baka hindi pa time. Hayaan muna natin siya makapagisip.
Gilbert: Baka nga dapat makapagisip lang siya siguro naman maginging okay din yun sa mga susunod na araw
Gerald: Bert, sorry ha alam ko pinsan mo siya at kaibigan mo ako hindi ko sinasadya na maipit ka sa amin dalawa
Gilbert: Ge, alam mo labas naman ako sa relasyon niyo so huwag ka na mag sorry sa akin. Yun ang decision mo eh kung ano yung laman ng puso mo Ge, yun ang sundin mo.
Gerald: Salamat bro at nagkamay sila ng kaibigan.
Sarah’s POV:
Same Day at Sarah’s Office
The receptionist called Sarah’s local number and told her
Receptionist: Ms. Sarah may nagiintay po sa inyo dito sa visitor’s lounge.
Sarah: Sino wala naman akong applicant na naka schedule ah.
Receptionist: Hindi po applicant friend niyo daw po.
Sarah: Friend? Wala naman akong ka meet na friend ah. Nagtatakang sabi niya sa receptionist. Ano pangalan niya?
Receptionist: Bea Alonzo daw po
Nagulat si Sarah ng marinig ang pangalan ni Bea. Ano ginagawa niya dito? Bakit gusto niya ako makita? Tanong nito sa sarili.
Sarah: Sige bababa na ako. Thank you.
Receptionist: Sige, po Mam
Visotor’s Lounge
Nakaupo si Bea sa isang sofa sa visitor’s lounge ng nakita siya ni Sarah. Medyo alanganin pa si Sarah lumapit kay Bea, Hindi niya alam kung ano ang unang sasabihin niya dito.
Ano nga ba sasabihin ko sa kanya? Bulong ni Sarah sa sarili habang nilalapitan si Bea
Sarah: Ummmmmm Hi Bea, kailangan mo daw ako makusap sabi sa akin ng receptionist.
Bea: Do you have a few minutes puwede sa coffee shop tayo sa baba.
Sarah: Oh sige, magpapaalam lang ako sa superior ko. Gusto mo mauna ka na sa Starbucks sa baba.
Bea: I will wait for you, then. Malamig na sinabi nito kay Sarah.
Sarah: Okay give me atleast 15 minutes
Sumakay na ng elevator si Bea para pumunta sa Starbucks sa baba at doon intayin si Sarah. Bumalik naman si Sarah sa kanyang work station at nagpaalam sa kanya boss na she will be meeting someone outside the office. Her boss allowed her and she then went down to meet Bea.
Sarah: Hi, Bea so what do we need to talk about?
Bea: I want this meeting to be direct to the point, Sarah. Hindi na ako magpapaligoy ligoy
Tumango lang si Sarah at hinintay kung ano ang sasabihin ni Bea.
Bea: I know you know that I was the one who helped him when you pushed him away. Ayaw ko manumbat but I want you to realize that I was the who is with him when his life is in darkness. I secretly loved him from years you know and seeing him so broken almost killed me. I helped him picked up the pieces, Sarah and the day he opened his heart to me was the happiest day of my life.
Ngayon bumalik ka sa buhay niya, and that easily he threw me away. Ganoon lang ba kadali itapon yung mga panahon na halos wala na siyang ginawa kundi maglasing hindi ko alam ano gagawin ko how to pick him up. I stayed in his side hindi ko siya iniwan halos madurog ang puso ko pag nakikita siya na buhay pero parang patay naman. Ginawa ko lahat to helped him to see the light in life again. Ilang Buwan din yun, Sarah ilan buwan…. Huminto si Bea sa pagsasalita tinignan si Sarah sa mata at tuloy na sinabi
Bea: Isang araw nakita ko na lang ulit ang kislap ng mga mata niya ako na ang pinakamasaya na babae. Sabi ko noon yes, Bea at last you won the battle. I sacrificed, I loved, I give way. She looked in Sarah’s eyes again and said
Bea: I told you this, not because gusto ko bumalik siya sa akin but because I wanted you to know.
Bea: I’ll go ahead, thank you for the time. And walk out of the coffee shop.
Sarah was left there staring at her back not saying anything. Tears started to fall from her eyes. She was confused and was trying her hardest to control her feelings. She then went to the ladies room, entered a cubilcle and cried her heart out.
Gerald’s POV:
He is waiting for Sarah in the visitor’s lounge of her office. He told the receptionist to tell her that he is already there. They will be having dinner together that night kaya sinundo niya si Sarah.
Gerald: Miss can you please tell Sarah that I am here already.
Receptionist: Ah Sir, are you an applicant of hers?
Gerald: Ah hindi Miss I am her boyfriend. Susunduin ko lang sana sabay ngiti sa receptionist
Receptionist: Ay ok po
Umupo ulit sa sofa sa visitor’s lounge si Gerald when he heard that the receptionist already informed Sarah of his presence.
Receptionis: Mam Sars nandito na po boyfriend niyo to pick you up.
Sarah: Ah sige I will be there in 5 minutes paki sabi na lang thanks.
Receptionist: Ok mam
After a few minutes Sarah already arrived and approached him. Napansin niya na medyo matamlay at mugto ang mga mata nito.
Sarah: Hi, kanina ka pa? Sorry ha medyo may work log ako na tinapos. Sabay beso sa kasintahan
Gerald: Babe, its okay. Teka, teka, bakit parang malungkot ka at medyo mugto ang mata mo? Are you okay, babe? Sabay hawak sa bewang nito upang alalayan papasok ng elevator.
In the elevator:
Sarah: Masakit lang ulo ko. Saan tayo magdidinner? Paiwas na tanong nito
Gerald: Babe, there is something bothering you tell me.
Sarah: Wala, Ge pagod at masakit lang ang ulo ko.
Gerald: Okay dinner na tayo tapos iuuwi na kita ng makapagpahinga ka,
Sarah: Huwag mo na ako ihatid sa bahay. Mashushuttle na lang ako.
Gerald: Hindi ako na maghahatid sa iyo diba masakit ulo mo hustle pa pag nag shuttle ka. Ibaba na lang kita sa may gate ng association niyo para hindi makita ng mommy mo.
Sarah: Ikaw na nga bahala medyo inis na sagot nito sa kasintahan
Inside the car Gerald hold on Sarah’s hand and started to drive. Nagulat siya ng inalis ni Sarah ang kamay nito sa pagkahawak niya at nilagay ito sa kanyang lap.
Gerald: Sarah ano bang problema mo?
Sarah: Wala nga eh sige magconcentrate ka lang sa pagdrive.
Tinignan ni Gerald si Sarah tapos binalik ang mga mata sa daan at nagfocus sa pagdrive. Hindi niya na kinulit si Sarah. They were driving in silence hanggang dumating sila sa Toni Romas sa Glorrietta kung saan sila kakain. Binaba na ni Gerald si Sarah para mauna na pumasok sa Resto at sinabing susunod siya pagkapark niya ng sasakyan.
Pumasok na si Sarah ininform ang waiter na sumalubong sa kanya na table for two. Hinatid na ng waiter si Sarah sa table na assigned sa kanila. Umupo na si Sarah at inintay si Gerald dumating.
Gerald approached Sarah on their table
Gerald: Oh Babe, did you order na?
Sarah: Hindi pa eh, inintay kita.
Gerald: Oh sige order na tayo. Sabay senyas sa waiter to get their order.
They order their meals and drinks. Pagkaalis ng waiter kinuha ni Gerald ang kamay ni Sarah at hinawakan. He massage Sarah’s hand with his thumb at nilagay under the table and sa lap niya.
Gerald: Babe, you look so sad it drives me crazy
Sarah: Ge, lets give ourselves a break. Magisip isip muna tayo.
Gerald: What are you saying? Magbreak na tayo agad?
Sarah: Hindi Ge, space lang to think yun lang.
Inalis ang pagkahawak niya sa kamay ni Sarah at hinarap ito at tinignan sa mga mata
Gerald: What made you decide on that? Suddenly, dumating na ang waiter dala ang orders nila.
They stopped talking and waited for the waiter to finish serving their meals. They started eating when Gerald stopped and told Sarah
Gerald: We will continue this conversation later sa kotse for now kain muna tayo ha. Sabay malungkot na ngiti kay Sarah
Sarah agreed and they started to eat their meal again.
Inside the Car (Parking Area)
Gerald: So why suddenly yan ang sasabihin mo sa akin?
Sarah: Ge, I’ve hurt you that much before. I don’t deserve this chance to be with you. You deserve someone na maiibibigay lahat sa iyo. Okay sana Ge, if Love is Enough in a relationship but it is not enough we have to consider other things, other people.
Gerald: Is this about Bea again?
Sarah: No Ge, it is about me I’ve hurt you before and I don’t deserve your love.
Gerald: Sarah how can you say that? Sinong nagsabi sa iyo na you don’t deserve my love? Walang may karapatan magsabi nun sa iyo kung hindi ako lang. I Love You even though you deserve it or not the main fact is I Love You.
Sarah: Ge, hindi naman ako nakikipag break eh. Let’s tests ourselves. Reflect on things and on our feelings. Baka kasi nadadala lng tayo sa sobrang emotions. Alam mo yun?
Gerald: Hindi na kita maintindihan, Sarah. I don’t know what to say or make you feel para maalis yan mga worries mo. Okay papayag ako sa space na sinasabi mo but promise me come back to me!
Sarah: Ge,( sabay hawak sa mukha ni Gerald gamit and dalawang kamay) always remember that you are here (sabay turo sa chest niya where the heart is placed) in my heart. Kahit anong maging decision natin in the end just remember that a Sarah Geronimo Loved You as Much as She Can. Huwag mo iisipin na dahil nahihirapan ako sa situation eh hindi na kita mahal. I love you so much, Gerald. Kaya lang kailangan muna natin magisip kung tama ba o mali ang pinasok natin. Maluhaluhang sinabi nito kay Gerald.
Gerald cannot control his sadness a tear fall down from both of his eyes. Hinawakan niya ang dalawang kamay ni Sarah na nakahawak pa rin sa mukha niya. He inched his faced closer and kiss Sarah’s Lips with much longing he can make her feel. After a few seconds Sarah pulled away.
Gerald: I don’t want this space you are telling, Sarah but if this is what you needed then let it be. Remember this, okay I agreed because you want it pero it does not mean I am giving you up. I won’t ever give you up unless you tell me. And he started driving.
They were both silent when they reached the gate in Sarah’s Home Owner’s Association, nung bababa na si Sarah, Gerald pulled her back and told her
Gerald: I begged you Sarah, don’t ever give up on me and gived her a light kiss on the lips.
Sarah just gave him a sad smile and went out of the car. He waited for her to enter the gate of the association and left when he can’t see her anymore. He drove towards home feeling that a piece of him is slowly breaking apart.
