"mom? dad?"I said being frozen from my seat, the couch
how did they even get here?
"surprise?" mom uttered smiling widely
"mom? how long did you wait?" I asked and hugging them
"your friend jisoo texted me your dismissal hour so we had to stay to some hotel nearby" mom responded
"dad? please take a seat, you should have at least inform me so I can prepare something for you" I said
"then it won't be a surprise anymore?" dad responded
"by the way, we bought you girls some necessities that you will be needing if incase, I made sure you will all like it? mom reminded
"awh you didn't have to mother" lisa
"and guess what? we ordered some pizza for you, I guess you were tired from school today so you deserve them" dad
"what brought you here anyway? do you have some business here today?" I asked as chaeng handed me their drinks
"your dad and I happen to have some business meeting with the Kim enterprises so, we needed to fly here from new zealand" mom explained
"how's school? do you love it here jennie?" dad asked
"it was quite new dad, but we still manage " I responded
"that's nice to hear" dad
"alright, I guess we'll have to leave now it's getting dark" mom
"you're leaving already?"I asked
" we still need to pack our things jennie" mom
"jisoo my dear? please take care of jennie" mom asked jisoo holding her hands
"your daughter is in good hands mother, you need not to worry." jisoo assured.
"jennie? I left something to one of those boxes please do read them after we leave" mom said hugging me
"hm? what is it?" I curiously asked but she just smiled at me and made their way to the door
"please comeback soon" lisa said waving her hands to them.
soon, their car drove away and the girls made their way inside the house checking what mom and dad have bought for us.
"eonnie? isn't this what your mom asks you to read?" chaeng asked giving the card
I opened the card but got confused as this has nothing but a letter containing a restaurant address and a table number
"what is it? what's inside?"jisoo asked moving to my side trying to read
"I don't even know, it just says I have to be there on time" I replied
"your mom said they had business here, maybe a formal introduction?" lisa
"or maybe your mom just want you to have a good bye dinner? chaeng
"whatever it is ,you will know if you come" jisoo said grabbing her towel
"argh, whatever. this is stressing me out" "I said and made my way to my room
"won't you even take your bath before you sleep?" chaeng yelled
"maybe later! I'm too tired" I said and jumped to my bed

JISOO
I woke up as early as I can today because I'll be cooking the breakfast this time alone. I don't want to bother jennie since her mom bought all of these food for us.
I've been here for an hours preparing the food and I expect all of them to have woken up and prepared themselves
"eonnie? jennie didn't woke up early today"chaeng worriedly said taking her seat
"that's unusual of her, maybe she really was too tired yesterday" I said
"you want me to wake her up?" chaeng suggested
" no, you can wait here for lisa I can wake her up" I said and took off my apron
" okay, if you say so" she nod
as I have reached her door , I knocked softly and open her door. there I saw her sleeping soundlessly
"jennie? won't you go with us for school?" I asked sitting to her bed
"hmm?" she responded
"you'll be late if you don't get up now" I said
"I will, please give me a minute" she said
"you scolded lisa yesterday and now you are acting like her?" I chuckled and got up
"the breakfast is ready, get up and have your meal okay? we'll wait for you" I said and leave her room.

"lisa? are you in for some iced coffee?" I asked bending my arm
the school was quite cold today
"why? we just had coffee at home" lisa
"I feel like I need more caffeine to keep myself awake " I asked
"Yeah I certainly need that to" jennie answered
"let's grab some at the cafeteria" rosé stated and we all nodded
after reaching the cafeteria we sat down to one of the table and ordered iced coffee
jennie seems to be so lost today
"what's bothering you? you seems so lost" I asked giving her the coffee
"hm? I was just wondering what will happen tonight. mom never introduced me to any of their business matter" She asked
"why are you so curious about that? it could be just a typical family dinner" I asked
"But why??they have never invited me to a dinner" she said
"who knows? change of tradition" I said as I shrug my shoulder
"too suspicious" she answered
"Is that Jimin?" chaeng pointed out
"why?" Jennie asked
"is he alone?" Rose asked
"well, probably wandering around it's still too early anyway" Jennie said
" I suddenly want some fresh air"I sighed
"eonnie? I think we can actually go somewhere fresh?" lisa suggested
"where?" I asked
"come on" lisa excitedly stood up leading the way for us.
soon, we finally reach this place called rooftop
it was quite high and the air is very cold. everything in this place is beautiful
"lisa? how did you find this place?" I asked as I turn around to look at lisa but saw a group of boys approaching
"well, I kinda heard someone " lisa replied
"oh? why are you here?" I asked
"hi ?" a guy awkwardly greeted
"Not interested" Jennie coldly replied

"You're kind of interesting" I heard him whisper
"what did you say?" I said and turn to eye him
"what? I said you girls seems interesting what's the matter?" he smirked
"nothing's wrong with what you said but if it comes from your filthy mouth, everything sounds wrong"I said trying to make a step toward him
"jennie? just let them go, let's not invest our time to them" jisoo mouthed
"let them go? who said we're leaving?" another guy grinned
" won't you really stop? you're just showing how less of a man you thugs are" lisa
"yah? who are you to talk like that to us? " one of the men said
"and what about you? who do you think you are to actually harass us like this?" chaeng
"yah? we are not doing anything yet, what do you mean harassing?" them
" don't act pathetic, do I have to define you what harassing means?" jisoo
"oh.. pathetic" we were interrupted by a voice coming toward us
"how many more women do you need to tell you how pathetic you guys are?" i turned my gaze to see taehyung walking with the rest while his hand are placed on his pocket

"just stop victimizing new girls jackson, you are not even that worth it"
"yah? seriously haven't you gotten tired of this for so many years?" yoongi
"oh? you are acquaintance with these ladies? " that guy laughed
"what a waste" they commented
"and what about you? you thugs are just worst than a trash. let's get out of here"I said and jisoo lead the way

it's already evening and I can't even decide whether to come or not
"eonnie? you have family dinner tonight right?" chaeyoung reminded
"ah, actually I'm a bit hesitant to go" I admitted
"why? it's your parents anyway, what's making you nervous?" she asked
"I don't know I feel like something unlikable will happen to me tonight" I said
"eonnie? not coming means you don't trust your mom so I think it will be best to come" she advised
"Make sure to lock the gate after you go out okay?" Rosé
"and drive well eonnie" she said and walk away
i'll loose nothing If I go right? it's my mom so I can trust her
I prepared myself and did some make up. the girls went out for some fun and here I am left feeling anxious of what will happen later.

I walked inside this restaurant and wander my eyes to look for my mom and I didn't fail to see them.
they waved their hands to me and asked me to come near.
i made my step near to the table
"Jennie come take a seat" my mom said
"What are we doing here??" I asked them while I take my seat
"We're having a meeting with the Kim family" my dad explained
this is what I expect it to be, a business matter
"Then why am I here?" I asked
"You're important to this meeting my dear so just stop asking for now" my mom said
I just have a bad feeling now,
after a minutes I saw taehyung coming in with his family.
I don't think they are my Mom's business partner
"Oh there they are" my mom waved at them wearing her wide smile
"Hi Mrs. Kim"my mom greeted them as they take their seats
" oh well,this is my son Kim taehyung"her mom said while pointing taehyung
"how beautiful is he, oh? my daughter, jennie" my mom introduced
i made a look to what taehyung is doing and saw him staring at me intensely
"no wonder she's so beautiful, she took a lot from you" his mom complimented
"Well should we start this meeting ??" My dad said
"taehyung? do you want any specific dish? you can order anything" mom
something is really fishy. I just hope mom is not into something
"anything is good" taehyung responded

"how about you jennie?" his mom asked me
"you can enjoy your dinner, I actually have eaten already before I left home" I refused
"oh? then should we talk about the purpose of this dinner while we eat?" his dad asked
"oh? if you don't mind, can Itake my leave already? I mean its just that I don't have any say if it's about business" I bowed and notice how mom fake a cough
"jennie? sit down. you are invited because you matter to this discussion" dad said
and I noticed how taehyung smirked
" so, we actually gathered here with you kids to plan something that both us, you parents have decided" his mom
no way. they are not somewhat into something childish right?
"jennie? your dad and I agreed to have you bethrothed to their son" mom informed
upon hearing that, I stood up from my seat and look at them in disbelief
" what? you are just kidding right?" I asked waiting for their response
"Jennie? What's wrong? taehyung is someone who your dad and I want you to end up with" my dad
" you want me to marry him? someone who doesn't even know how to apologize?" I said
"I know how to, it's just that you are at fault this time" taehyung
"mom? I'm also not saying yes to marrying a woman like her, I'm sorry but I think you have mistaken us " taehyung excused and leave
"that arrogant jerk" I whispered.
"we're very sorry mrs. kim, we didn't expect this dinner to be ruined " my mom apologized
" we'll try to talk to him, please excuse us" his dad said and leave with his wife
i can't believe this.
After that meeting my dad drove me home and we had some argument about their plan
I saw the girls waiting for me to come home
when I entered the house I directly went to the couch and rest my body
I embarrassed them too much, didn't I
"how's the dinner? did it go well" Rosé asked
" Why are you still awake its already midnight?" I asked them
"we're waiting for you" jisoo said
"So what happened eonnie?" Lisa asked sitting next to me
" How absurd, they wanted me to marry that jerk" I complained closing my eyes out of irritation
"calm down, you said jerk, does that imply to taehyung?" Rosé asked looking at me
"I really knew it, I shouldn't have convinced myself to come" I said
"I really don't want to marry him" I said tapping my forehead
"Wait, I still can't believe it's taehyung, the guy you had a thing with?" Jisoo asked in disbelief
"but how? It's kinda weird" lisa
"you're right everything just don't make sense" i agreed
"and guess what? That man acted as if I was the one trying to push this stupid Idea" I ranted
"but what about you parents? do they have any say on this?" Jisoo
" it is what you expected it to be, they are still convincing me to say yes to this betrothal" I explained
"won't they be mad at you? I mean it's business after all" rosé
"I kinda feel apologetic because I feel like I've embarrassed them earlier but that doesn't mean I should say yes"
"This is my life, I can do what I want" I added
"eonnie? by acting like this, things won't work easily. I think your parents and you should talk calmly first" rosé
"Jennie? Maybe this is not a bad idea after all? You're marrying him for business, you're not actually marrying him for love"jisoo
"Please do have some talk with your mom" lisa
And speaking of, they are calling right now
"answer them calmly, things won't get to its place if you all will act upon your temper"jisoo
I stood up from my seat and answer the phone.
"What is it this time mom?" I answered
"We're very sorry jennie, we should have informed you at first" mom apologized
"I'm sorry for embarrassing you earlier mom" I apologized too
"Please jennie, do understand the things behind this marriage. Taehyung is not that bad after all" mom
"Mom? Marriage is not something that you could just offer or advertise. and of all man? " I said
"Give him a chance sweetie okay?" Mom
"Get to know him and then after that let us know" mom suggested
"We can always make a contract for both of you, if you really can't stand him after the wedding then let's call it off how's that?" Mom
"Do you really think marriage is a trial? Do it after some try? Wear it off after getting dissatisfied?" I asked
"Jennie? Your dad built the company to save us, why not you save us this time?" Mom
"Let's just talk after I calm myself down, I need to go" I said and hang up the call
I made my way to my room and jumped to the bed to rest
I really hate this.
