Eliza's POV
"Alex... you like John, right?" Eliza asked, trying to appear subtle.
"Uh, yeah! He's my best friend!" Alex said.
Eliza relaxed. He liked John in a totally platonic way.
"And, uh, Angelica?" Eliza casually added.
"Your sister?" Alex appeared confused.
"Uh, yeah," Eliza awkwardly confirmed.
"She's sweet - we're, like, friends," Alex shrugged.
"Why are you - "
"Classes!" Eliza sung, distracting Alex from the question.
"Dang it! Finish eating! GO! No, you're too slow, bye!" Alex darted off, not realizing he was 20 minutes early for class.
Eliza approached John and Angelica.
Angelica's POV
"John!" Angelica giggled as he tried balancing a pancake on his nose.
"Ooh, I've got the solution!" John grabbed the maple syrup and spread it on his nose, then added the pancake on top.
"Eww!" Angelica squeezed her eyes shut as John started to eat the very pancake that had been on his nose.
The two decided to spend the morning at Angie's as their classes began later that day.
Eliza suddenly was next to him. "Angie? Could I talk to you?"
"Sure, Eliza." Angelica stood up with a bad feeling in her stomach.
They went to sit at an empty table near the living room.
Eliza took a deep breath. "I know about yours and John's crush on Alex."
Angelica's whole world spun around until it focused again on Eliza.
"H - how?" Angelica whispered.
"I - I followed you guys to the ice cream shop, I, uh, thought you guys liked each other and I wanted to push you two together... But instead I overheard you talking about Alex." Eliza hung her head.
Angelica stared at Eliza. "Does Alex know?" Her voice was so low Eliza had to strain to hear it.
"No."
"Listen to me, Eliza. What you did was - was," she trailed off, not finding the right words.
"But no one can know about this! Okay? I swear to god, if I find out anyone else knows about John liking Alex, things will be very messy for all of us!" Angelica whisper-ranted.
"John? What about you?" Eliza asked.
"Only John matters for now, okay?" Angelica muttered. "Angie, I - "
"Look, Eliza, I know you're my sister, but John's my first friend in a while." Angelica ended with that and marched back to her table.
"Let's go to class, John," Angelica commanded.
"But, food!" John protested.
"John!" She exclaimed.
"Fine!" John started walking with Angelica.
"Eliza knows. About all of... this, about us and...Alex" she told him, taking his hand.
John froze, his eyes becoming wide with panic.
"Laurens, chill, she's not telling," Angelica felt him relax.
"But she's his girlfriend," John mumbled.
"Yeah." Angelica closed her eyes for a second.
"I could move on?" John asked, his eyebrows scrunching up.
Could you?
Angelica decided to not to say anything to that. Instead, she glanced at her watch.
"WE'RE GONNA BE LATE JOHN!" She screamed.
John grabbed her hand. "Maybe not!"
They streaked through the hallways, laughing.
John's POV
Angelica and John split afterwards as they did not have their first period together, but John couldn't stop thinking about what happened.
How could Eliza know? And poor Angie, to have to watch her sister be with the one she loves.
Would Eliza tell Alexander? That would ruin their friendship! You can't have a crush on your best friend.
"MR. LAURENS, ARE YOU WITH US!" Headmaster George bellowed.
"Huh, what?" John looked up.
"AS I WAS saying, there is some stupid dance coming up and I am legally made to inform you of it, even though I know what you all do during your weekends," George said, staring straight at John. "Now then, what is the answer to number six, Mr. Laurens?"
"Er, sixteen!" John exclaimed.
"This. Is. A. History. Class,"
"Right."
Alex's POV
That was weird. John always payed attention in class. Alex turned his head toward John and gave him a look.
"Where were you yesterday?" Alex mouthed, trying to see if John noticed him and Eliza last night.
John simply looked down and fidgeted with his pens.
Shoot, does he know?
This time, Alexander tried to get John's attention by discreetly waving his hand.
"MR. HAMILTON," Now the headmaster turned to face Alexander. "Can you give us the answer to the question?"
"Err, so, basically, Lin-Manuel Miranda led all the revolutionaries to victory with the help of the general, Chris Jackson, and they won the war so King Jonathan Groff had to surrender," Alex said quickly, not taking his eyes off John.
"Very good, Mr. Hamilton,"

Peggy's POV
Peggy hurriedly navigated the dangerous halls of the university trying to get to her next class. As she took a left, some idiot bumped into her, making her drop all of her books.
"Dang it!" Peggy started to pick up her books and someone else also came down.
"Je suis désolé pour ça," said the man, trying to clean her papers up.
"Wait, is that you, Laf?" Peggy looked at Lafayette sheepishly.
"Oui, et tu es?"
"It's me, Peggy!"
"Oh...OH," Laf suddenly looked a lot more uncomfortable. "From the bar?"
"Uh, yeaaaahhh?"
"Je ne voulais rien dire par ce que j'ai dit cette nuit-là," Laf started to speak incredibly fast French and Peggy couldn't keep up.
"Wait, I can't speak good French," Peggy started to stand up.
"But, you have a French textbook?" Lafayette looked confused.
"I only took it cuz it's the only thing my sisters aren't good at, but, I mean, I suck too,"
"I can teach you!" Laf blurted out.
"Really?" Peggy's eyes lit up. "When?"
Comment puis-je dire non à cela? Laf thought. How can I say no to that?
"Uh, Fridays, at 7:00,"
"Perfect!" Peggy hugged Lafayette, which made him blush bright red. "Bye! See you on Friday!"
What did I get myself into?

Angelica's POV
Finally, the last class of the day. Angie stepped into her class and saw John, Eliza, and Alex.
Shoot, it had to be this class
John looked uncomfortable and Eliza and Alex were whispering to each other.
"Thank God you're here," John said, looking highly distressed. "Eliza's been looking at me weirdly all day and it hasn't gotten better."
"Alright class," Mr. Hansen said. "Today, you and a partner will work together to learn about trees and pla - CONNOR STOP TRYING TO SMOKE THE SUNFLOWERS."
"I have no idea what you're talking about, Evan," said Mr. Murphy, obviously lighting the stem of a sunflower.
"Uh, here are the list of partners and start your research," Mr. Hansen said quickly before shoving the other teacher out of the class. "I'll be right back."
"Boyfriend problems between those two," John laughed.
"Wait, they're dating?" Angelica asked.
"Or married, I dunno. All I know is that Mr. Murphy needs to stop smoking drugs."
"Smoking drugs?"
"He should stop smoking crack?"
"Crack?!"
"Er, pot!"
"Then everything might be alright,"
"Hey Angie, we're partners!" Alex yelled.
Angelica felt her stomach drop. She turned to Eliza, who had a pained look on her face. Then John, who gave her a half hearted thumbs up.
"Cool," Angie tried for a smile.
"So basically..." Angie was lost in Alexander's words, completely entranced by him and the way he formed sentences and his eyes and the way his lips moved and - No, Angie get over him.
"How about we start with, like, an oak tree?" Angelica added.
"Great idea!" Alexander put his arm around Angie.
Omigod, omigod, omigod it's happening maybe.
Angelica leaned into his shoulder before turning her head to see John's face. He looked... Heartbroken, again, and again.
Wait, no John.
"I have to go to the, uh, restroom," John told his partner, Jared.
"Good for you," Jared replied, furiously typing on his laptop.
John ran out of the classroom and fled to his dorm.
