I woke up as usual, 6:30 on the dot so I could clean the house in time for the rest of the day. I have crunched it all down to roughy an hour to feed the cat, clean after Barb and Ron, and make breakfast. They often don't wake up early enough in order for me to make their beds, which was also one of the reasons why I woke up so early.

Also I still needed to finish all of my homework that I fell asleep on last night.

So this morning was a mad dash to finish all my chores in thirty minutes. I figured if I could at least give myself an hour to finish my Physics packet at school, then I could have time to do my math homework during actual physics class because it was technically classwork that Mrs. Wilson said we could work on at home if we chose to. I don't like the thought of waiting to do something later than I could so I decide to make it my first priority. Then after my history and math class, I could write my paper at lunch in the library.

Everything all planned out nicely to a tee.

I quickly make some eggs and pancakes for Ron and Barb and feed the cat on my way out of the residence. I managed to finish everything in under 25 minutes. I felt very accomplished, but weird by it because normally I never have this much free time. I had no clue what to feel about it all. It's as if someone gave me a new toy with no instructions. I don't know what to do with it really.

That's why plans work. As I road the city bus to the bus stop that's about a 5 minute walk from my school I planned for the extra amount of time I had.

If I get to school by 7:03 assuming that the bus gets a green light on Merlot Boulevard, that gives me the time where I can start my homework around 7:10 after running to the classroom, then I can freely work on the Physics packet until school starts at 8 o'clock. I overestimated my time though when I decided to braid my hair in the mirror instead of on the bus. I note next time to start multi-tasking more. . .

Luckily, all of my predictions were correct, and the Merlot light was green, and I was sitting in my Physics classroom with Mrs. Wilson grading papers.

We were sitting in complete silence when a boy walks through the door. I recognize the light brown and take notice that it was in fact Ethan from the mall two weeks ago. I've seen him around the halls and he stares at me a lot. Not in a longing way I found out. After he was staring quite blatantly at me last week while I was at my locker I turn to catch his eye and he did a quick up down look and laughed. Not in a completely mean way. I think he remembered that 'joke' I made regarding telling my kids about my first kiss. I don't really find it funny because I think names add substance to the story, but I don't think Ethan would know that kind of thing.

After he laughed, he apologized and said he just thought of something funny and went on his merry way. He joined back up with one of the guys that he was at the mall with who I never got the name of and spoke to him while glancing back at me and they both laughed again. I think that boys just have a very odd sense of humor. I wasn't caught up too much by the attention. It was just words and shoot, if he thought of something that made him happy, then I'm glad that thought came up when he saw me. I like being associated with happy things.

We haven't talked since then and we barely are ever at our lockers at the same time. I'm always at my locker which very seldom people ever use because they all have heavy duty backpacks that can carry all of their stuff and actually last the year. While I was going to make my light blue $16.99 knock-off L.L. Dean backpack last. Ha ha.

Ethan didn't notice me in the classroom since I sat all the way in the back because Mrs. Wilson puts all the misbehaving people in the front. Without this notice, Ethan spoke so freely.

"Mrs. Wilson, how am I supposed to learn all this within a day? I'm so confused and I have to read the same thing over and over again and I still don't get it!"

"Ethan, it's a simple concept really. You just simply multiply the speed by the time to get the distance. And then you divide to get the other two."

"But which two?!"

When it comes to Mrs. Wilson's teaching, she does the bare minimum. She's sweet and all, but she can't explain anything. She also gets very lazy very easily so she always hands out packets to do during class. She's a super chill person but not a good teacher in the sense of actually teaching. I simply learn because I'm used to teaching myself concepts and formulas so I could be prepared and ready for my classes. Also, I'm going to this private school on a scholarship so I had to at least show that I was worthy of it.

I tune back in to Ethan and Mrs. Wilson's conversation. He just couldn't get the hang of it at all. During one of his outburst, which was him basically throwing his arms in the air and groaning as he runs his hands down his face pulling all of his features down as if they were melting off of him, he notices me.

His green eyes stare at me for a second. I could see the pink of his skin behind his bottom lashes as he pulled down his cheeks. He quickly composes himself. He looks between me and the packet I was working on. His words surprise me.

"Oh, sorry," his voice cracked and he coughs to clear his throat. A blush creeps up his already pink cheeks, and I can't stop the small smile forming on my face. "Are you working on a test right now? I didn't mean to be so loud."

I look at him and am amazed that me taking a test was the first thought that came to his head. He worried about him distracting me during a test.

Wow it's sad what little things impress me.

I break from my trance with a slight shake of my head and I look between him and my packet, "No I'm just working on the packet, um. . ." An idea forms in my head and I look at Mrs. Wilson who was looking at me. "Do you think I may be able to show him how I figured it out?" I asked to her.

Her face fills with relief and says, "Of course, you two help each other! She probably will do a better job at explaining than me." She smiles at Ethan then at me. Any form of flattery makes me blush. "You're underselling yourself Mrs. Wilson."

To my comment Mrs. Wilson just laughs and shakes her head and returns to her papers. Ethan heads my way and takes the desk to the right of mine. Katy Coppler's desk to be exact. She's an extrememly quiet girl who is very studious and we are always partnered for lab projects because I know she'll do her work, and she knows I won't intimidate her or make her talk. Ethan grabs the desk and scoots it closer to mine as I begin drawing a triangle on his sheet of paper.

"Okay, so how I think about it, it's like a triangle split in three--"

"She's shown me that already and I don't understand it." Ethan pouts. He rests his cheek on his hand which his arm is supported by his knee. His hand squishes his cheek against his face. It is similar to how a four-year-old would pout and it makes him really cute. He isn't looking at me and glares at the Mrs. Wilson with a stink-eye. It made it all un-cute very quick. I poke his squished cheek and laugh under my breath. Ethan looks back at me with wide innocent eyes like that same four-year old being caught in a harmless act.

"Hey, I know it's confusing, but just watch while I say it slowly."

Ethan just looks at me before I start explaining. I don't try to force him to look at the page because the attention isn't that bad honestly. I kinda liked it. I'm just more worried he won't be able to understand it in class and then I'll have to spend the time I could be working on my math homework.

". . . Ethan you have to look at the problem to understand it properly. . ." I say looking at the pencil in my hand. I didn't want to embarrass the guy. But I had homework to do in class and my scholarship will not be taken away by some math homework grade.

He breaks from his stare and clears his throat. "Alright teach, show me your ways." He half smiled at me. I look at him and continued on.

"Okay so look at the triangle. You're going to split it up three ways and fill in the three blanks with three letters." Ethan nods his head and I carry on, "Okay so on the top of the triangle you're going to put 'D' for distance."

"Are you sure?"

"Yep."

Ethan looks at me with a knowing look. It dawns on me of what he meant by his question. I blush and laugh at his comment. I hit him with my pencil and carry on, trying to push my blush down. He continues to look at me and when I would look back at him he'd wiggle his eyebrows.

I playfully shove him and tell him to pay attention, which he finally does. I explain slowly about how to divide certain parts and multiply the others. He understands it for the most part as the bell rings to signal the beginning of school and the time for everyone to head to class.

I'm putting all of my physics stuff up as people walk in to sit in their assigned seats. Ethan scoots the desk back in its proper position and notices what I'm doing.

"What are you doing?" Ethan asks with a confused look. He makes no move to actually get up out of Katy's seat, who is currently staring silent daggers in the back of his head.

"I'm putting up my physics so I can work on my math now." I said as I pulled my math binder out.

"B-but wait you're supposed to help me. I was finally starting to grasp it all." Ethan looks disappointingly at his packet like it already had a bad grade stamped on it.

"I don't know Ethan. You sit too far for me to do anything, and honestly I think you've gotten the hang of it by now." I say as I flip through the pages looking for my homework. It wasn't like I didn't want to help him, maybe I could do it after I finish my math? I mean I can't stop everything I was doing for this guy.

He finally sees Katy out of the corner of his eye.

"Oh sorry, here." Ethan quickly gets out of the seat, yet he doesn't move yet. He looks at me then at Mrs. Wilson standing up and gathering her papers. "Hold on one second."

Ethan walks up to Mrs. Wilson with his physics packet and talks in a very pleading manner. She looks at him and then at me and smiles. She announces to the class, "Alright everyone, I will be switching some seats around today because a few of you would rather talk to your friends than actually learn anything! Marcus," she points at Emily's desk,"I would like you here please. Emily please switch with Marcus. And if Ethan and Katy could switch. And Clarke and Matthew. And then. . . Albert and Carly. Thank you!"

Katy gives me a soft glare, and then sends a harsher one towards Ethan's smiling face as he came to take his new spot where Katy once sat. I felt bad for Katy, but she is sitting next to Clarke instead of Matthew, which is great because Clarke is a sweet guy and is as almost quiet as Katy.

I turn to Ethan with a smiling/shocked look. I couldn't believe he managed to get Mrs. Wilson change his spot so easily, better yet, she made it look so casual and not obvious by moving the other students around who really weren't that talkative to begin with.

Ethan just shrugs his shoulders and says, "What can I say? I'm a real charmer."

I roll my eyes and return to my math homework. Ethan can wait. My scholarship comes first.

So I'm back! Kind of. Lol college is STRESSFUL. Also it's a major life adjustment so there's that as well. Made some awesome friends, but do any of you know that feeling when you're not quite in tune with what person you are anymore? Kinda had that, but now it's better! I'm still the same old Sue, but now I'm way more mature in my opinion perhaps? Hope that at least one person is reading this? If not it's chill. I'm doing this for me. . . and of course you too!!!! Hahaha well I hope everyone has a great day! I currently have to study for my anthropology final that's in 2 days! Sue procrastinates a lot!
