They say in life, you either sink or swim
But how come no one ever mentions floating?
They never mention the calmness, the emptiness
They never say how every thought seeps from your mind, and eventually every emotion, too
You let yourself be submerged by the ebb and flow of the waves, and you pretend that everything's okay, that you're okay
But someone grabs your arm, and shock- an emotion, something you haven't felt in so long- jolts through your body
And when you look around, at your friends, your family, you realize that you want the emotion to stay
No, not the emotion
Just… emotion
But it's already gone and you don't know how to get it back
I'm back! So I know I said I'd update weekly, but I also said that I might stray from schedule a little, and this is me doing exactly that. I'm also hoping that this update will make up for the times I will skip an update because whatever I wrote would be crappy and I couldn't come up with anything better and didn't want to disappoint you with weird word vomit.
