Dylan's POV
"Oh mag ingat kayong dalawa sa first day of school niyo ha? Big girl and big boy na ang mga babies ko grade 1 na. Andrea wag sasama sa strangers. Remember what papa told you about candies and strangers. And Luis, wag kakalimutan ang bilin ni papa." I reminded them both and handed them their backpacks. Ang tagal naman ni Maxine sa school office! Di ko pa tuloy maiwan ang mga bata.
"Yes papa, I wont let anyone bully my sister. And di ko po siya babayaan." Luis replied, feeling like he is an older brother to Andrea when in fact, Maxine told me he's only older by 20 seconds!
Binuhat ko si Luis.
"That's my boy. Mana ka talaga kay papa." I proudly said and whispered "Hindi kay mama" He laughed and gave me a high five as though as he agrees with me.
Nabaling naman ang attention ko sa prinsesa ko na malapit na umiyak at para bang nakayakap ng mahigpit sa legs ko. "Oh honey what's wrong? Are you scared?" I asked in a very comforting voice.
Buhat ko na silang dalawa ngayon. Buti nalang hindi sila mabigat like Maxine! Hahahaha.
"Yes papa. Takot po ako baka wala akong friends dito tsaka po ibully ako. Pwede po bang dito nalang kayo ni mama hanggang matapos po ang school?" Umiiyak niyang paliwaganag.
"Andito naman si Luis. Don't worry, baby. Di ka niya papabayaan. Atsaka tinuruan ko yan ng karate eh!" I laughed then planted a kiss on her forehead.
"Oh bakit umiiyak ang baby girl? Nagaway nanaman ba kayo ni kuya?" Nilingon ko ang pinanggalingan ng boses na iyon. She's walking with poise kahit na malaki na ang tyan nito at kahit na doble na ang katawan nya compared before. Halata ang pagaalala sa mukha nito. She's always like this, she's always soft when it comes to our kids.
Pero pag dating sakin, she's a tiger!
She isn't tame pag dating sakin, lagi syang nagrrage, lagi akong inaaway o sinusungitian, which I find cute and attractive.
"No mama!! Di ko po siya inaaway. Takot lang po siya sa school." Luis trying his best to look innocent.
"Anak kong maganda, wag ka na matakot. Remember what mama said? Talk to your classmates, be nice and make friends with them. Halika na, kiss na kay mama. And then pumunta na kayo sa classrooms niyo baka malate pa kayo. Kuya, ikaw din kiss na."
She kissed our children and I did the same. Binaba ko na ang kambal para makapunta na sila sa classroom.
"Mama, they won't bully me, diba po? Hindi nila ako aaway?" Andrea asked
"Yes, of course, baby. Bakit naman nila aawayin ang princess ko? Eh ang bait bait and pretty like mama!" Maxine laughed to comfort Andrea.
When my little princess heard that she's as pretty as her mama, her eyes twinkled. Talagang gustong gusto nya na nasasabihan na magkasing ganda sila ng mama nya. Hindi lang talaga si Maxine ang malambot sa mga bata, even the kids are very soft and sweet when it comes to t heir mother.
Samantalang sakin ay hindi, they always play their stubbornness on me and their pacute tactics. Maxine blames me for that, masyado ko daw kasi pinapamper. Like pag umiiyak sila, lagi ko sinusuhulan. Unlike Maxine, pag nagkamali o umiiyak ang mga bata, pagsasabihan nya ang mga ito in a sweet way until they learn their lessons.
"And remember to smile, princess. It's your first day!" Nakangiting sabi ni Maxine.
Nahimasmasan na si Andrea at nangibabaw na ang excitement ang nararamdaman niya. The twins nodded and bid us goodbye sabay takbo papasok sa room nila, pero hindi pa man nakakalayo ang kambal ay tumakbo ito pabalik sa amin na parang may nakalimutan.
"Naforgot namin ang kiss!!" They said in chorus.
"But we already kissed you both." Sagot ni Maxine na halatang confused din.
"Si baby di pa namin na kikiss." tinuro ni Andrea ang tyan ni Maxine at nagbungisngis naman si Luis.
I laughed at them.
Binuhat ko ang dalawa hanggang maabot na ng mukha nila ang tyan ng kanilang mama. They both looked so happy nung makakiss na sila kay bunso.
I can say na kahit hindi pa nakakalabas si Warren, mahal na mahal na siya ng kambal. Pati narin kaming dalawa ni Maxine. She is 6 months pregnant.
We stayed outside their room for 30mins para lang makasiguro na wala na problema sa admission nila sa school. After that, we walked hand in hand out of the campus.
Nang makarating na kami sa kotse, binuksan ko na ang sasakyan para makapasok si Maxine at sinuot ko na ang seatbelt sa kanya.
"I'll tell you something you don't know yet." Nagopen ako ng topic to past time habang pinapainit ko ang makina ng kotse.
Bigla syang umayos ng upo at humarap sakin. "Meron pa kong hindi alam?" Natawa nitong sagot. "Ano yun?" She asked.
Tatlong taon na kaming kasal pero malakas pa rin talaga ang epekto nya sakin. Every waking day of my life, lalo akong nahuhulog sakanya. She's my angel, she's my light in the dark, she's the gravity that pulls me, she's my blessing in disguise.
Who would have thought that we'll end up together? Ang dami naming downs noon. Puro heartaches na akala ko ay hindi na matatapos.
I remember myself almost wanting to die dahil lamang sa sobrang pangungulila sakanya.
"Tessa and Martin are still unemployed. I d." Pagamin ko.
"Huh?” Kumunot ang noonnya at tumaas ang isa nyang kilay.
"I destroyed them.” I said grinning.
"You what?!" Di makapaniwalang tanong nito.
She blushed. Ang ganda nya lang magblush talaga.
MAXINE’S POV
We did nothing much that morning, nagkwentuhan lang kami and watched television until I fell asleep. Hindi ko nga namalayan na sa entertainment room na kami nakatulog.
"What time is it?" I murmured as I saw him staring at me. Weird but I love it when he stares at me.
"It's 1, baby." He said and then planted a kiss on my lips. "Wake up now, kakain na tayo, baka malipasan ka ng gutom at pati yang si baby Warren natin sa loob mo eh magutom din." Aniya.
"I had a dream." Paguumpisa ko ng kwento nang akmang tatayo na sana sya. "Napanaginipan ko yung araw na.. umalis ako." She said
Di sya sumagot.
"I saw you reading the letter I made. I saw you cry." I continued.
"Why did you write that letter, anyway? Why did you lie?" He asked as he hugged her tight. Maybe he sensed that I was about to cry.
"I-i was so hurt with what happened. Kaya I-i lied. I-i want to hurt you the same way. I want you to feel the feeling of losing someone so important. A-at natakot ako na b-baka lalo lang mapahamak ang mga bata sa tyan ko." With that, I started sobbing.
"Hush now, baby." He said as he kissed my forehead. "It's done. Tapos na tayo sa heartaches. We now have each other and we have a lifetime to prove the love that we have." I nodded. "Now, get up so that we could eat. We still have to pick up the kids at 3:00."
"Can we eat here? I wanna watch our wedding video while we eat." Pagsusumamo ko.
"Uhm, okay but first.. akyat muna tayo sa kwarto?” Aniya. Tinaasan ko sya ng kilay.
“Bakit pa?” Nagtataka kong tanong.
“Basta. Tara na.” Sabi nito tapos ay inalalayan ako hanggang sa makaakyat kami pero nang nasa tapat na kami ng kwarto, tinakpan nya ang mata ko.
“Huy!” Nagulat kong suway. I tried removing his hands kaso nga lang ay mapilit ito.
“Wait, baby. Just walk.” Bulong nito sakin. I did what he said. Ginabayan naman nya ako sa paglakad.
“Alright. Now, open your eyes.” Utos nya nang natanggal na nya ang kamay nya.
When I opened my eyes, nabigla ako.
Our white sheet was covered with red rose petals. It was too sensual, sensual yet sweet. The sheets weren’t that fixed and that made it more look sensual.
“Wow..” I amazingly said. “P-pano..?” Tanong ko.
“You were sleeping so yea.. surprise.” Sabi nito. “There’s more, go on, lapit ka.” Sabi nya na agad ko namang sinunod.
My instinct told me to look through the wrinkled parts of the sheet. At sa pinakagitnang bagahi ng kama, I saw a necklace. It was a platinum necklace with a pendant of two circles, a smaller circle studded with diamonds is enclosed in a bigger but plain circle.
“Happy anniversary.” Bulong nito sakin sabay halik sa batok ko. Maluha luha ko syang hinarap.
“Happy anniversary.” I kissed him on his lips. I didn’t expect this. I looked at the necklace tapos ay inabot ko iyon sakanya. He got my point.
Muli akong tumalikot at hinayaan syang isuot iyon sakin. “Bakit ganito pendant?” I asked.
“Hmm? Those circles are us, baby.” Aniya. “The love we have, actually. That smaller circle is the love you have for me, I know it’s unending.” Sabi pa nito. Nang naramdaman kong tapos na nyang ikabit iyon ay muli akong humarap sakanya. “And this bigger circle is what I feel for you. I love you more than you love me and I will protect you endlessly.”
With the love i have for him, I gave him a sweet kiss.. that eventually led into another. For the nth time, even with our little angel inside me, he made me feel the prefectly pleasures of the love that we share.
And only him could make me feel those perfect pleasures.
