Chapter Nine *Plans & I Love You's*
*Jesse’s P.O.V*
After the hell of having my ex glare at my girlfriend and nearly getting her a*s kicked for picking a fight, I can say this has been almost the worst day ever. I did make out with Beca a few times so it was ok.
“Can I talk to you guys for a second, just Jesse and Beca for a moment?” Luke asks as he peaks his head out of the booth door. I look at Beca to see Samantha wink at Luke before leaving.
Beca rolls her eyes and mutters ‘whore’ under her breath.
“What's up?” He looked behind me then went and locked the door. “What the hell?” I just shrug as Luke comes back.
“If you’re going to kill us, don’t start.” Luke looks at her weird then realization crosses his face.
“Not going to kill you. I’m going to fix a problem.” He sighs. “I am going to pretend to date Samantha because she is going to drive me crazy with her whole ‘emo stole my boyfriend’ thing. I don’t want to find a dead body in the radio station if she goes too far with Beca.” I look at him confused.
“Why not just fire her?” Beca asks crosses her arms and I resist the urge to chuckle at her possesiveness.
He sighs.
“Need the extra help. Either way you were going to run into her so, y’know, it doesn’t really matter now does it?”
I sigh in defeat. “Got a point.”
“She told me to come up with terms for it…” He trails off.
“You ok Luke?” He looks shocked.
“You’re not mad?”
I shake my head. “If I could I wouldn’t have her even here at Barden to begin with. What are the terms?”
“So the terms are
1. No sex just gives the illusion
2. Only show the relationship around people (especially Jesse and Beca to make them both jealous or something)
3. No extremely cheesy pet names
4. Can hold hands or have his arm wrapped around her shoulders or waist
5. Make it as believable as possible
6. If it doesn't work by spring break make a fake break up to make Jesse feel bad for her and get back with her”
I look at him weird. “I wouldn’t feel bad for her if you broke up, you know that right?” He nods his head.
“I know, but she doesn’t get that.” Luke points out as he looks around the room.
“What?” I tilt my head to the side by habit.
He can’t look at us for some reason. “She thinks I like Beca.” Beca laughs slightly.
“I kind of knew that already Luke, Jesse and I both did.” Luke looks up at Beca.
“I got over that because you and Jesse are together so honestly, it’s not there anymore. But she doesn’t need to know that.” I nod my head.
“Ok, it should work. Although she gets scary jealous easily.”I state as he just nods his head.
“Anything else I should know?” I think for a second.
“She is sickly obsessed with the color pink.” Beca looked at me weird. “She was a cheerleader ok? So I really didn’t care, but now that I think about it, it was really annoying.”
She nods her head as Luke does the same. “Alright, I’m going to explain the terms to her, later guys.” We both wave bye before leaving Luke in the radio station.
*Samantha' s P.O.V.*
I don't know why Luke wants to talk to Beca and Jesse alone but I just used it as an advantage to my "steal-my-boyfriend-back-from-the-emo" plan.
When Jesse was in sight I winked at Luke. I caught a glimpse of that freaking emo rolling her eyes at me as she said something under her breath that I couldn't quite hear. When they stepped inside the booth and shut up the door, I decided to get back to work.
After a few minutes, Jesse and Beca came back out of the booth talking about something. I saw Jesse lace his fingers with Beca' s causing me to glare at them until they left.
"Problems?" Luke's voice startled me.
I glanced at him then focused my attention at the stack of CD' s that was in my hands.
"It's so annoying seeing that emo with my boyfriend." I answered as I put the CD' s on the corresponding shelves.
From the corner of my eye I saw Luke roll his eyes.
"Alright, let's go." He said as he shut the booth down.
"Where are we going?"
"Coffee. We need to discuss the terms of our relationship." He answered putting air quotes around 'relationship'.
~Later at Starbucks~
"Got it?" Luke asked after explaining the terms of this thing we're doing.
"Yes." I answered then swallowed the last gulp of my mocha latte.
I started to leave but quickly turned back to face him.
"Oh Luke, I will do anything to get Jesse back so if you so much as think about screwing me over I will make your life a living hell. Do you understand?" I said in the scariest voice I could conjure up in the moment.
He didn't seem to be effected but I'm sure it's just is tough guy act.
"Understood." He said and I quickly sauntered off.
*Luke's P.O.V.*
"Oh Luke, I will do anything to get Jesse back so if you so much as think about screwing me over I will make your life a living hell. Do you understand?" Samantha asked trying to sound scary but she was more funny looking than scary.
"Understood." I said then watched her as she sauntered off. D* mn she's hot, too bad she's a conceited psychopathic b*tch.
I finish my coffee as I think about all the events that have occurred today. I've seen a gross make out sesh, met a psychopath, witnessed Beca kick some a*s, creates a fake relationship, and lied about my crush on Beca which is still there just a little.
What have I gotten myself into? "Dating" Samantha is going to be the worst experience of my life!
*Jesse's P.O.V.*
"I love that movie." I said and Beca giggles a little as we throw away the trash we had. She brought me to see 'The Breakfast Club' (which is showing in the theater for a limited time only) for my birthday.
"Happy Birthday, Jess." I smiled and kissed her as we walked out of theater.
"Best birthday present ever." I said in-between kisses then a cop ruined the moment.
"Alright guys, break it up. Save it for your homes." I kissed her one last time before pulling away. We were walking down the street talking when I noticed a sign for DJ HEAVYGRINDER's tour.
I slid the tickets I had gotten us in her hand and she looked down at them. She squeals then turns toward me. She wrapped her arms around my neck and kisses me.
"Thank you so much, Jesse! It's gonna be the coolest thing ever! I love you." She froze and I looked into her eyes trying to see if she meant it. They quickly filled with panic.
*Beca' s P.O.V.*
"I love that movie." I giggle and roll my eyes at my nerdy movie-loving boyfriend. I brought him to see 'The Breakfast Club' (which is showing in the theater for a limited time only) for his birthday. We threw our trash away and left the theater.
"Happy Birthday, Jess." We both smiled as he kisses me.
"Best birthday present ever." He says as he continues to kiss me.
"Alright guys, break it up. Save it for your homes." I roll my eyes at the cop as Jesse kissed me one last time before pulling away and wrapping his arm around my shoulders.
We were walking down the street talking about random things when I felt him slide something into my hand. I looked down to see what it was. I see two DJ HEAVYGRINDER tickets. I turn around and squeal (which I will deny ever happened) and wrap my arms around his neck and kiss him.
"Thank you so much, Jesse! It's gonna be the coolest thing ever! I love you." I realize what I just said and froze. Sh*t.
