May finish this story in the next chapter or two... I want to start something else before I go back to uni!

Tell me if you want me to carry it on or not but I'm struggling for ideas!

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Trust was a weird thing to feel.

Throughout the next few days, Matt began to trust Kristen more and more. He still hated the fact that he couldn't protect her completely but at least she was pretty much invincible.

Having a dead girlfriend kind of became an advantage at this stage.

Needing a break, Kristen decided one Friday afternoon that they could go to the cinema together, just the two of them. Matt didn't really know how to take the suggestion but he didn't complain. He enjoyed having the company and he hadn't watched a film in a long time.

After class, they both went back to Matt's house. Matt had accepted that they were always going to go back to his. Apparently Kristen's house was just for show and she hardly ever spent time in there so there was no point visiting.

She practically moved in with Matt.

She stayed in his bed but there wasn't anything but spooning at night. She was a tease, Matt could hardly deny that. Her bed time outfits were enough to make Matt excited and full of adrenaline. He was good though. He never touched her.

Well... he skimmed her legs a few times, unable to help himself, but he had been good in his books at least.

He swore that she did it on purpose.

She'd moved some of her clothes in so that she didn't have to keep taking his clothes, which he was glad of as he didn't really have that many anyway. He really needed to go shopping.

He just couldn't be bothered.

Getting back to the house was quick and Matt locked himself in the bathroom to get changed. He didn't know if it was a date or not but he was going to dress up quite smart anyway. He put on his dark jeans and a navy blue shirt with a black top underneath. At least if he roasted then he'd be able to strip it off and keep his black top on. He didn't really want to go carrying around a jacket especially if he was naturally toasty.

Moving back into his bedroom after a few minutes, he was glad that he'd changed. Kristen had switched into a dark fitted day dress with lace around the middle to expose her waist and back. Her hair was half tied up, strands flinging across her shoulders and framing her face, and her skin was as flawless as usual, but this time her eyes looked framed in a darker colour and her lips were coloured a pink to create a more lively glow. She wore flats though, which he was glad of. Matt didn't want to bother with a hobbling Kristen.

He eyed her up but only cleared his throat to grab her attention. She smiled in response as she turned around from the mirror to inspect him. "You look good."

"You too."

"Thanks."

Matt ran his fingers through his hair before moving to sit on his bed awkwardly, his fingers twitching. The bare skin of her waist was a temptation in itself. He didn't even want to think about the rest of her. They were going to a public place, for gods sake.

"Shall we go?" He asked and indicated the door.

Kristen nodded and grabbed a bag which Matt had only just noticed, flinging the chain around her neck and over her right arm. She fluffed up her hair a bit more before walking out of the room without even a glance in Matt's direction.

Frowning, Matt followed.

She was already at the bottom of the stairs, waiting for him, when he emerged.

The walk was a drag. He wasn't sure what Kristen was thinking about and he certainly couldn't read the expressions she was pulling. The temptation to grab her was too strong for him not to brush hands with her.

She seemed to notice as her fingers gently curled around his as they walked.

"What are we seeing?" Kristen asked and Matt looked up at her, confusion etched onto his face.

"I thought you'd chosen something." His eyes automatically rolled in annoyance. Great. They didn't even know what they were seeing. No doubt all of the good films wouldn't be showing when they got there. It hadnt really been planned out too well.

Kristen licked her lips and Matt looked away quickly, trying to concentrate. He didn't know what had gotten into him anymore. He couldn't concentrate on anything but her and whatever she did made him think crazy thoughts like a love sick puppy. It was embarrassing and cringeworthy. He didn't even want to admit the feelings which consumed him when he looked at her anymore.

In fact, he tried to ignore that part of his brain completely.

Stupid emotions.

"I was thinking that we just pick whatever is on. It shouldnt be too bad. There's quite a few good films on recently so I'm sure we'll be able to watch something decent." Kristen said casually, causing Matt to grind his teeth.

He hated surprises.

"What if there isn't?"

Kristen eyed him as if it was the most stupidest question in the world, "Then we find something else to do."

"I'd rather just go home." Matt mumbled.

Kristen either didn't hear him or refused to answer his comment. He was glad. He didn't want to cause an argument or any stressing atmosphere, especially as this was something they'd never done before.

When they got to the cinema, Kristen looked down the list of films whilst Matt ordered some drinks. He wanted food but there wasn't much to satisfy him behind the counter. That, and Kristen wouldn't be able to share it. At least she was a cheap date.

In a nice way, of course.

When Matt finally bought a large cup of pepsi, he found Kristen again, holding up two tickets and smiling. He wasn't sure whether that was a good or a bad thing. Matt still didn't know what kind of film genre Kristen preferred so he really had no idea on what she'd chosen to see.

She didn't even give him his ticket. Instead, she just handed them to the worker, who let us in almost immediately. Matt had complained before about paying for the tickets when it was easier just to sneak in with intense speed. However, Kristen had argued that if they didn't pay then the cinema wouldn't be gaining any money and therefore there would be an increased risk of it closing down some time soon.

Though Matt thought that two stupid tickets weren't going to make much difference, he didn't mention it. He didnt want to cause a debate when there was no debate to be had. He just wanted to watch a stupid movie in peace. At least then he'd be able to say that he'd gone to the cinema lately. He wasn't sure who he'd tell but the thought made sense when he'd agreed to the whole thing so he'd just gone with it.

Kristen dragged Matt up to the second to last row and squeezed down the isle to reach the middle. There weren't many people in the room besides an elderly couple and a group of teenagers at the front somewhere.

Ignoring the throbbing of hearts, Matt dumped the cup into the hold on the chair and relaxed into the seat, causing it to groan with his weight. Though he'd learnt to be a bit more careful with his force lately, he was still struggling to remember. It was too easy to fall back into the stage of not caring about his actions.

Kristen wriggled in her seat to get comfy and then sighed as she relaxed as well, leaning against the arm of the chair to look at Matt with a soft look on her face. "I'm glad you agreed to this."

"What film are we watching?" Matt asked, staring at the screen, trying not to look at Kristen's exposed legs and knees.

Kristen's eyes sparkled. "Wait and see."

He had to hand it to Kristen, she knew how to pick a good film. It was all about some kind of psychopathic genius who was trying to get loads of money out of shares by pretending to have an illness due to a side effect of a drug.

Matt wasn't concentrating much on the film, though.

Throughout the film, Kristen had shifted so that her arm leaned on the arm rest and her legs crossed, aiming towards Matt's own, nudging his leg each time she fidgeted. Matt couldn't help but run his fingers over her kneecap when she pressed her legs against his. He could see her smiling but tried to ignore it as his fingers continued to draw circles.

She was driving him crazy but he knew how to get her back.

There weren't many people in the cinema and everyone else was infront of them so no one could see what they were doing. Matt was thankful at that at this moment. What he was going to do wasn't something which he wanted an audience for.

He gently laid his hand flat on her knee and spread his fingers out along her leg, causing her to shiver. She was icy cold but Matt was getting used to that by now. He wondered how far she'd go before she got embarrassed.

Matt slowly walked his fingers up her leg, facing the screen, watching Kristen's reaction secretly through the corner of his eye. She twitched and clenched but she didn't move, a soft sigh escaping her slightly parted lips.

He gently fiddled with the hem of the dress before drawing circles underneath the fabric. Kristen's eyes widened and this time she did move, but not in the way that Matt had expected.

She pushed herself up in her seat but ran her fingers through Matt's hair. Slowly, she knotted her fingers into his hair and, before he realised what was happening, she was kissing him, holding him close to her so that he couldn't move.

He gripped her elbow but didnt move her hand as he kissed her back.

So this was what a real relationship was.

He was actually making out in the middle of a film. He wasn't even processing what was happening in the movie anymore. He really didnt care. Matt forced himself to pull away, causing a mumbling growl to tickle Kristen's lips before he gripped her jaw bone and kissed her more roughly.

Caught in the moment, his fingers traced up Kristen's arm and onto her chest without he even noticed. It was only when he started to stray towards her chest, did he stop and drag himself away from the breathless Kristen.

"Why did you stop?" She whispered as she grabbed Matt's hand and clutched it tightly in his own.

"Later," was the only husky word that came out of Matt's voice before he removed himself from Kristen's grasp.

He was going to be a good boy.

Well.... at least until he got home.
