Sonic's POV
Never in my life that was sad like this, as I stared at Aino purposely stabbed herself screaming in pain along with Wrath, but she knew that Amy is with her? Is this their promise? Did Ames really wanted her to stab herself? But my thoughts have been interrupted as Aino fell on her knees
Freed: AINO!!!
Tails: Amy!!!!
We ran towards her as I held Aino/Amy close to my chest, the guys came close to me to stop the bleeding but nothing, she started glitzing until her other half if Amy
Sonic: 'panicked' Amy....you're gonna be alright!! I promise!!
They stared up to me with a weak smile
Amy: do...do......don't......
Aino: .......a....promise.....is....a....promise.....
Knuckles: BY STABBING YOURSELF??!!!
Tails: 'shaking with fear' why would you do this?! Why?
Aino/Amy: a.....promise.....we.....made....eight......years.....ago.....
Amy/Aino touched Sonic's head and and they're suddenly in Amy's room with a girl that looks like Amy sitting on the sofa with a fainted spirit which is Aino
Knuckles: is that?
Tails: Amy when she was eight
Amy (8yrs.): Aino, can I ask you a question?
Aino: sure, what?
Amy (8yrs.): what will happen if you're finally in peace and stopped with the killing
Aino: then I would be faded away, but that would never happened
Amy (8yrs.): why not?
Aino: two things, first. My soul could never be in peace 'cause there's nothing for me to be in peace about. And second. If I did found peace then that means you have to kill me which also means that it will kill you
Amy (8 yrs.): I don't understand?
Aino: 'sighs' what I'm trying to say if finally could rest I have to be killed, by if I'm in someone's living body then it still mean I have to kill myself, which means if I kill myself I would also kill the soul of the body who I'm possessing and that soul will join me to die
Amy (8 yrs.): so... If you kill yourself, then I will die along with you?
Aino: that's right
The guys couldn't believe what they're hearing, that if Aino kills herself it also means she has to kill Amy too
Freed: this....this can't be true...
Amy (8yrs.) looked up and have a thought
Amy (8 yrs.): say Aino, can you promise me something?
Aino: sure thing, what is it?
Amy (8 yrs.): if your soul finally founded peace, I want you to kill yourself even if it includes me
Aino was shock of what she had heard and turned towards Amy (8 yrs.)
Aino: are you sure big sis? I mean, what about your mom? She'll be devastated if you're gone?
Amy (8 yrs.): Aino your soul is more important than your life, even if it means I'm signing my body and life to the devil just for you to be happy, then I'll take it
Aino: big sis.....
Aino thought about it and finally nodded at Amy (8 yrs.) and held out her right pinky
Aino: okay then, it's a promise
Amy (8 yrs.) held out her left pinky and they made a vow
Aino: you know there's not turning back right?
Amy (8 yrs.) nodded
Aino: and I never break my promises
Amy (8 yrs.): I know
Aino: alrighty then
It all ended and they're back at where they were and they turned to Amy/Aino
Sonic: you did that just for Aino?
Amy: 'glitzing' of...course......she needs to.....rest after all.....these years
Tails: but Amy-
Amy: 'glitzing' you guys......I never been....friends......with you if.....it weren't for Sonic.......you showed me....what is it like......to be happy......and it was worth it......thank you guys......for being my friends.....
Tails, Knuckles, and Freed stared to tear up cause of Amy's kind words, she then turned to Sonic
Amy: 'glitzing' you are the....first guy I've ever.....fell for.....you are the first.....of being close...to me.....and no one has ever....have the....courage of trying....to know me better.....
Sonic: 'tearing up' Ames...
Amy lifted her hand up to Sonic cheek to wipe his tears, he grasped Amy's hand close to him
Amy: 'glitzing' I'm sorry.....that I.....misjudge you,....sorry for.....hurting your.....feelings.....not only you're my first friend........you are my first love
Sonic: I felt the same
Amy: I will....always love.....you Sonikku.....from the bottom of my heart.....
Amy gently lifted her head up and gently pecked Sonic's lips, they guys noticed that her body's is about to fade
Tails: Amy....you body!
Sonic looked and he saw that Amy/Aino's legs and fading out along with their arms
Sonic: Amy no!! Don't do this!
Amy: I'm sorry Sonic....but...
Aino: I'm sorry too Big Brother....but...
Aino/Amy: my mama and sissy/my dad......are waiting for us.......thank you for everything.....
Her body began fading more until they finally disappeared when the sun finally rises, everyone was stun for a brief moment, no one was moving until Sonic started bursting into tears and began to scream in sadness, he punched the ground in frustration a few times until he finally let the stream to flow, Freed covered her mouth and bawl, Tails held Freed and let her cry in her shoulders, and Knuckles looked down with a frustrated look on his face and a single tear fell
Sonic: AMES!!!!! Damn it Ames! Why?!
Sonic continued to shout until he finally calmed down, he took a breath and looked up in the sky, he felt a hand on his shoulder when he turned it was Knuckles
Sonic: Knux?
Knuckles: it's not your fault you know, it's neither our faults
Sonic turned the Tails and Freed and he slowly nodded
Sonic: you're right, but how can we tell the others?
Freed: I bet Rosetta would be devastated for sure
Freed walk ahead and saw something from the ground, she picked it up and it was Amy's headband with her necklace, she turned to Sonic and handed it to him
Sonic: I guess they needed to know for sure
Sonic took those both but with the necklace he tucked it in his pocket, he slowly got up and looked up once again
Sonic: I will never forget you Ames....
The four began walking out the construction site and began to head home
2 years later (Sonic's POV)
It's been two years ever since that incident, things change after these two years, with Aino gone the curse in this town has been lifted and that everyone could leave peacefully and while some would stay here for their purpose reasons, there's no more murder spree in the night and everyday it's allow that stores will continue to open even up till the late of night, even the mayor of this town set a memorial of Aino so that every once in a while the townspeople would give their prayers to Aino
??: Sonic...
My thoughts were interrupted, I was looking out the window from my bedroom and turned to Sonia
Sonia: you've been staring outside for a while now, it's time to head to the event
That's right, today we are celebrating Aino's birthday, every student and parent are supposed to attend tonight, I'm just wearing casually clothes, a red long sleeved shirt and blue jeans with red sneakers
Sonic: I'll head there soon
Sonia: alright
I still remember when me and the others told everyone the truth, including Rosetta, she was in complete shock she wanted to believe that it wasn't true but when I showed her Amy's headband, she fell on her knees as tears stream out of her eyes as mom comforts her, all of our friends were in complete shock so they couldn't believe it and the girls cried out their eyes out, before I could head down I went to my drawers and pulled out Amy's necklace and tucked it in my pocket, ever since she disappeared I kept her necklace with me at all times cause of two things, one it reminded me of all the things we did together and two it's my good luck charm
Manic: c'mon bro!
I snapped back and quickly went out, it was time for the event in the middle of Spring where we are outside on a bright day, I was with my mom, my siblings, and Rosetta since she insisted of coming with us today
Aleena: seriously Rosetta you don't have to come with us you know?
Rosetta: it's fine Aleena, I wouldn't miss this day, plus I get a feeling that my daughter would be upset if I didn't go
Sonia: if you say so Rosetta
We placed out blanket on the ground and spotted our friends here too, I lied down at my back and stare out in the sky, Ames if your watching me from above I still wish I could be with you once more, I wanted to spend the rest of our young life together but I knew it would never happened
After the event
It was almost late and me, my family, Rosetta, and my friends stayed just to clean up till suddenly I heard something, I looked around and my mom looked at me confusingly
Aleena: is there something wrong sweetie?
Sonic: 'shook sideways' it's nothing, I thought I heard something
Then there it was again but sound was faint
??:.....brother.......
That voice, I recognize it from anywhere when I continued to looked around and suddenly I saw a fainted light, and my guess is that the others saw
Cream: what is that?
Blaze: I have no idea
As the light began to clear a bit I saw a face that I fully recognized
Sonic: Aino....
Aino: hi big brother!
It was Aino wearing a short white mini dress holding two dolls that were used to be rags but now it look like they were brand new, we are all in shocked to see Aino again
Sonic: Aino.....is that you?
Aino: of course big brother, but I'm not gonna kill you again, I'm over it plus I'm back with my mama and big sister, I'm just here to give you a proper goodbye before I go back, but I want all of you to talk to some people before we all leave
Silver: wait who?
Aino turned to her right and what we saw is a man with red hair and wearing a clean white tux, we are all confuse but then Rosetta took a step forward it a shocking look in her face
Rosetta: ...Arthur?...
Everyone: Arthur?
Aino: Mama Rosetta's husband
Tikal: Amy's...father...
Arthur: yes....hello love...
Rosetta began streaming in tears and quickly ran towards Arthur and they both shared a hug
Aino: Papa Arthur died in an accident when big sis was a year old, she never had a father figure in her life
Arthur: you did so much of taking care of our little girl, I wouldn't have been with her a little longer
Rosetta: 'sobbing' it's okay....she knows that you're watching her...and she loves you no matter what
Arthur lifted her head up and gently wipe her tears
Aino: I also have another guests
Aino turned to her left and what we saw was unbelievable, it was uncle Chuck wearing a white tux too along with another man wearing the same white tux
Sonic: dad?
Sonia: uncle Chuck?
Aleena: Jules?
Chuck: hello my dear nephews and niece and sister-in-law
Jules: hi Aleena, kids
We all ran towards them and we all hugged them, we hugged Uncle Chuck then our dad, then mom's turn to hug Chuck and dad
Aleena: 'sobbing' Jules....I missed you...so so much....
Jules: 'hugging back' I missed you too....no need to be upset....
Manic: damn it Uncle Chuck, you know what you did was idiotic
Chuck: I know....but I know my time has to come to an end
Aino: but you know I forgot to tell you something else big brother, that was also important
Sonic: what is that?
Aino: you know the 'if I finally founded peace that I have to kill myself along with big sis we will both fade away in the heavens' thing?
Sonic: yea
Aino: well I have a special favor that I promised, I thought it was impossible but it turns out to be possible, that I grant a very special someone a second chance of being alive again
Sonic: what do you mean?
Aino: why don't you turn around big bro, or should I say...
??: ...Sonikku....
With that voice, I knew exactly who it was, that voice was unforgettable and it was recorded in my heart and soul, when the moment we all turned around, we all saw a glowing white figure, we didn't recognized it but it continued to come a little closer, until it finally cleared up and what we saw, we were all in complete shock, especially me
Sonic: ...Ames...?
We saw Amy right there wearing a plain white long sleeveless dress, with her skirt flowing from the wind, she made a warm smile and nodded in response, I didn't waste any longer and quickly ran towards her and she did the same until we finally collided with each other, for some unknown reason tears began spurring out of my eyes as I held her tightly in my arms, hoping that this isn't all a dream
Sonic: 'sobbing' is....is that really you?....
I step back a little to look at her completely, her skin looked farer than before and her hair was shorter, she continued to smile at me as she gently wipe away my tears
Amy: of course it's me you dumbass... You really think I would leave you that easily
Without a second thought she kissed me with so much passion, and I started to kiss her back after all the waiting for a long time, we both pulled away and we turned to the others as they ran up to us
Rouge: Pinky!
Shadow: Rose!
Tails: You're back!
Freed: we thought you're really are a total goner damn it!
Knuckles: don't scare us like that!
Amy: I know I'm sorry okay?
Amy turned to her mother and father and she quickly ran up to them and hugged them both
Amy: 'sobbing' .....mom.....dad.....
Rosetta: 'sobbing' oh sweetie.....you're here again....
Arthur: you know you scared your mother half to death
Amy turned to her father and hugged him tightly as he did the same
Arthur: I always wanted to hold you in my arms like this, and you know I will always love you
Amy: I know dad....and I missed you too and I love you too!
Arthur wiped her tears away and she turned to dad as she slowly walk towards him
Amy: hello....Mr. Jules
Jules: please hun just call me 'Jules', plus I've been watching you that you're dating my son
Amy nodded as dad sighs
Jules: he may always snooped into others's business, he may be hard-headed, too mature for his age, dense, idiotic, and stubborn
Amy: I know
Sonic: Hey!
I protested it as my friends laughed at me
Jules: but I know he's responsible enough to protect the one he loves, he's brave, reliable, out going, and really has gotten my looks, and he will always learn the mistakes he have made but making it better
Amy: I know that too...
Jules: you are a brave a smart woman Amy....take good care of my son okay?
Amy nodded confidently as she hugged him, until I heard a cough from Arthur
Arthur: Sonic...come here for a second
I suddenly got nervous and walked up to Arthur with Rosetta by his side
Arthur: I've been living here longer than you, and got married here with the woman I love, and right after I died I watched my daughter from above and saw everything, including the embarrassing ones
I gulped nervously
Arthur: I saw every flaw from my daughter, she's thick headed, short tempered, stubborn too, and always take things to seriously like an emo girl she wasn't supposed to be
Amy: dad....
I laughed a little along with the others as Arthur continues
Arthur: but deep down inside she's the most wittiest girl you will ever seen, she's kind hearted, helps others uncontrollably, and she's a very beautiful girl, and thanks to your love, you pulled her out of her shell of her and she finally been set free
Sonic: yes, she is
Arthur: now that my baby girl is in the good hands with the man she loves, I know that she will always be safe, take care of my baby girl okay?
Sonic: of course sir!
Arthur: just call me 'Arthur' son
Sonic: okay....Arthur....
He and I make a firm handshake I turned to Ames with a smile as I hugged her, then Aino clapped her hands
Aino: alrighty then, it's time to go you three
The three nodded and turned to all of us
Art, Jul, & Chu: we will miss you and don't ever forget us alright
We all nodded, they turned away from us but Aino face us one more time
Aino: goodbye Big Sister, I love you
Their bodies started to glow into a bright light and flew away into the heavens, we all looked up in the night sky with Ames right beside me
Sonic: you're not going to pretend you're again are you?
Amy giggles as she turned to face me
Amy: you think after all these two years of watching you from above and still think that low to me? You heard my dad, he accepted you and I will always love you for that
Sonic: well you do me the honors of being my girlfriend once again
I said while holding out Amy's necklace in front of her
Amy: of course my darling Sonic, it would be my honor
All of our friends cheer for us well especially me, I wrap the necklace around her neck and gently kissed her lips, she then kissed back and I've never been that happier
Amy's POV
As me and Sonic pulled away and we all continued to stare at the night sky suddenly blasting with fireworks, I never thought I would be here my mom, all of my new friends, and the love of my life, I stared up and see Aino looked down at me with her mom and sister waving at me with a smile on their faces
Thank you Aino, now we are all setting towards the new day ahead of us!
