The legend of the "Shepherds". In a bygone age of myths, when darkness threatened to enshroud the world, it was they who reclaimed the light from nothingness. Over and over, as the world plunged into chaos, the legend would come to people's lips, as they would pray for salvation. And lo, each time a Shepherd would appear to vanquish the darkness once more.

~Innominat, Incarnation of the Sky~
Velvet's POV
I... after I sealed my brother, Laphicet Crowe reborn as Innominat the Empyrean of Suppression, we both went to a deep slumber. My thoughts, will and my emotions are still alive to me. And I lost track of time devouring him, and him for devouring me in return. Finally.... we can be together.. but.... I wondered if how my companions... no.. my.. friends continued to live their lives to the fullest? It's kinda sad I won't see them again, I admit it. I would miss Magilou's idiotic humors, Rokurou being so dense, Eizen's seriousness, Eleanor's concern to everyone of us back in the Van Eltia, and... Phi.. Phi's last words.... I am so grateful that I got the chance to be with them. I... I just hope they're all okay. And I believe in them that they could change the world to a better place. And... I have accepted my fate to seal my brother away forever. And this is the way to atone for my sins, the chaos and calamity I brought to the land. I, Velvet Crowe, The Lord of Calamity shall continue to devour my brother and to sleep, even it takes a millennia or it will take forever....
3rd Person POV
~Valleys of the Stolat Mountains~
The breeze blows in the valleys as a shadowy figure was seen at the cope, standing near to the large hole at the destroyed shrine which was said to be the "gates of hell". This place was previously known as the Tranquil Woods where Celica and his unborn son died from the hellions, and where Laphicet Crowe was sacrificed by Artorius Collbrande, the first Shepherd.
"So... he's not here." The man in a dark cloak seemed disappointed, he raised his hands and moved it in a triangular way, like part of an incantation. A seal appeared vertically in thin air, similar to Innominat's crest. "Azhov neun tekzyu!" He screamed loudly and two large heads of a serpent came out of the seal and went to the large hole below. Then few moments later, the two serpent heads flew up to the sky creating a large yellow beam. It flew above to the atmosphere and hit the Innominat sky ruin and caused a disturbance on Velvet's slumber.
~Innominat, Incarnation of the Sky~
"Ugh... what happened?" Velvet slowly opened her eyes trying to see what happened around her. "A quake? But how?" Her eyes widened as she saw the place around her is crumbling and falling apart. She held her brother tightly and saw a yellow beam passed above them and went to hit them. Velvet got separated with Innominat and she fell down. She coughed through the smoke and saw her brother was in the hands of a man in a dark cloak.
"Laphicet!!!" She screamed and tried to reach for her brother but she couldn't move.
"Ahh... Finally.. I found you at last my dear Innominat. I didn't expect that your appearance has changed and you would extend your body this much above that cursed world." The man in the cloak chuckled softly.
"G-give him back!!" Velvet struggled as strong as she could. The man in the cloak gave her a questioning look and was shocked to see Velvet's left arm.
"My my!! A therion! What would be a daemon like you doing above here?" He laughed in a sarcastic way.
"I was sealing him! Give him back!" The Lord of Calamity struggled with all the strength she had but still she couldn't move.
"Oh? You were devouring each other? How interesting~ ... " The man in the cloak gave an evil grin and carried Innominat away.
"Wait!" Velvet was able to move freely and tried to smack the mysterious man with her therion arm. The mysterious man blocked the attack with a divine barrier he summoned. "What?!" Velvet's eyes widened when she saw a the barrier glowing bright with faint sparks.
"A malak arte?!" She heard the man chanting the incantation of the arte.
"I, who stands in the land of the living, who commands to open the gates of the dead. Oh mighty thunder and lightning of the divine worlds! Grant me thy power to judge the evil! Blades of heaven's will, pierce mine enemies!! This is your end! INDIGNATION ULTIMA!!" A divine white circle appeared above Velvet, as well as a dark circle below her. The 3 circles including the divine barrier blasted Velvet with an immense scale of lightning bolt. The Lord of Calamity blasted all the way outside the sky ruin and fell down to the earth.
"Be gone, daemon.." The man in the cloak watched her coldly and carried Innominat away. He summoned a portal and went inside. As for the daemon lord, Velvet fell all the way down back to earth.
"L-laphi, n-no..." She raised her hand, watching the skies while falling down to the cold and beautiful skies of the earth. She turned her back and saw the ground. "Guess it's my time huh?" She smiled and fell unconcious. Suddenly, a man with a long white hair caught her in air breaking Velvet's fall to the ground. She opened her eyes slowly and saw two people. "Ugh.." She fell asleep.
~Camlann, The Origin Village~
"Are you ready... Shepherd?" Lailah asked in a serene way, she stood beside the newly anointed Shepherd, Jayden Hume, who was sitting near an ancient monolith written in the Avarost language. Jayden smiled and stood up, he stretched his arms and grabbed his sword.
"Yep! I'm ready Lailah!" Jayden smiled brightly and Lailah giggled.
"Alright.. let's go to see the mighty seraph that I was telling you before."
"Wait, you mean Maotelus? The leader of the Empyreans?" Jayden's jaw dropped. He excitedly walked around in circles and ran off first to the outskirts of Camlann.
"My my! Such energy!" Lailah giggled and smiled in a nostalgic way. "He really is like you Sorey." She walked and watched the new Shepherd ran excitedly, she then watched the heavens as the wind blows in the plains making Lailah's hair flow with the air.
"Lailah! Come on!" The energetic Shepherd laughed and tripped on rock, Jayden rolled all the way down to the small valley and bursted into laughter. The Lady of the Lake laughed too.
"Be careful next time Jayden. And also stop acting like a kid." Lailah giggled and the Shepherd scratched his head from embarrassment.
"Right, right..." He sweatdropped and stood up, continuing to walk through the plains.
"By the way, where is this Empyrean's throne that you're talking about?" Jayden wondered deeply and faced Lailah.
"Oh.. it's just up ahead." Lailah pointed a building that looks like a pyramid from a distance. They walked excitedly until they finally reached their destination.
"Hahaha! The Empyrean's Throne!" Jayden glazed over the building, checking every corner of the structure and every carvings on the wall.
"Was this pyramid built since the Era of Asgard?" He wondered.
"Maybe, maybe not." Lailah smiled savagely and walked toward the stairs gracefully.
"Wait... something's not right.. " They stopped in the middle top of the pyramid. And tried to know what's wrong.
"Maotelous' domain is slowly fading... But I sense no Malevolence." Lailah said it nervously and faced Jayden.
"What?! What do you mean?!"
"His power is slowly fading... Something's happening above the Empyrean's Throne. Let's go check it out!" They walked through the stairs and reached the top of the pyramid. Their eyes widened when they saw a child lying to the ground and 2 mysterious people, one with the cloak, along with an emotionless individual were floating in the air with a white circle behind them.
"This.. Maotelus, is not worthy of becoming a true Empyrean." The man in the cloak glared at the unconscious kid. The man in the cloak noticed Jayden and Lailah.
"I see.. we have some unexpected guests here." He chuckled softly and summoned a barrier in front of them.
"Wait... what's going on?! Maotelus?!" Jayden grabbed his sword and took a stance. Lailah covered her mouth in shock and stepped back.
"That crest behind them.... i..it's Innominat's.." Lailah trembled.
"Innominat? Who are these people anyway?! They're not hellions. And what's a kid doing here!?" Jayden gripped his sword tightly and dashed straight to the two mysterious people and gave an attack with a hidden arte.
"Searing Edge!" Jayden slashed the enemy but was blocked with a barrier.
"Jayden!! Don't fight them! The one you are facing is one of the most powerful seraphim in the world!" Lailah screamed and drew her paper out, releasing an arte with an incantation.
"May the mighty flames of heaven surround my body and unleash it to pass judgement unto my enemy! Crown Fire!!!" Lailah casted the arte to the enemy but it was dispersed with the barrier.
"That power... are you a prime lord?" The man in the mysterious cloak dodged the attack and glared at Lailah. He quickly went to the Prime Lord and used and arte against her but Lailah was able dodge.
"Lailah!!" Jayden quickly attacked the man in the air releasing a powerful slash and took hit at the cloaked man's left shoulder.
"Ugh.. You are strong for a human my boy, tell me Prime Lord, is the boy an Oracle?". He grinned and summoned a white circle in front of him and a ball of light appeared in the center.
"Jayden! Fall back! We're no match for them! Hurry! Grab the child over there and let's go back!" Lailah nervously raised her hands and summoned flames with hundreds of papers and turned into a barrier.
"Right!!" Jayden grabbed the kid and went behind Lailah. The enemy striked a large bolt of lightning at the barrier and started to disintegrate. The prime lord withdrew the papers and summoned flames around them and disappeared.
"Interesting... she used a teleportation arte. Well, there's no need for them anyway. How about claiming your throne back my dear Innominat?" He chuckled in an evil way. They went inside the building and placed the emotionless Innominat on the throne. He raised his hands and summoned divine circles in front of Innominat.
"Now Innominat, make me your vessel and use me to suppress all creation!" The divine circles glowed brightly making Velvet's brother scream loudly in pain. Innominat's seal appeared above the cloaked man and a ray of light shined down on his body.
"Yes!! YES!!! I can feel it! Thank you brother for giving me your ultimate power!!! Now I can have my revenge on the Heavenly Realm, and to destroy this cursed world!!" His body glowed brightly and faced the poor Empyrean and laughed loudly in an evil way. He unleashed a ray of light above the sky and a large domain spread all over the world.
"Y-you will p-pay for this... Annonimous....... V-velvet, if you're alive, please find an oracle and the Malak that burned the Malevolence I gave to him to defeat my older brother. I will use my l-last strength, to put this in the Earthen H-historia below the e-earthpulse and to give you s-some of m-my pow...er...." Innominat mumbled and fell unconscious, a tear in pure blue appeared on Innominat's eyes and dropped to the ground, seeping below the earth quickly and flowed through the ley lines of the earthpulse.
