harry's pov
"who is harry?"
the soft words she spoke shattered my heart and ripped it in to pieces. her mum looked towards me with a sad face.
"harry, your boyfriend?" her mum said pointed towards me.
"what do you mean i dont have a boyfriend, I dont even know who this guy is" she spoke
a small tear escaped my eye as her mum looked to me with sympathy. "you dont remember do you?"
"remember what exactly" kayla replied to her mum. Kayla looked towards me again with a slight sympathy of what she was unaware of.
"you look familiar" she spoke looking at my face "you're from youtube right?"
I smiled softly trying to be strong for her "yeah" i faked a small laugh "im harry, you're kayla i watch your videos" i spoke positively to help her relax
"yeah" she looked down to her thumbs "not to be rude but, why are you here, we have never met before" she said slightly unsure of herself as if she deep down was screaming at herself to remember
"erm, i, i mean, uh just wanted to see if your okay" i spoke while quickly leaving the room in panic. I sat down on the bench outside her room and put my face in my hands trying to hide my emotions from the people who walked by.
i heard the door to the next of me lightly shut and a figure came and sat beside me and put there hand on my back in comfort. I looked up and saw her mum with a sad look on her face.
"why doesn't she remember" i choked
" i dont know harry. she doesn't remember who you are and you met just after she moved so maybe that means she doesn't remember anything from after she moved to london" her mum said trying to think why she does not remember anything. as we sat thinking the doctor from earlier walked by but before they could leave i quicky spoke
"excuse me sorry, erm why can't my girlfriend remember me or anything?" i questioned while the tears started to come up again
"what do you mean she can't remember?" the doctor spoke really confused and very worried
"when i walked in her mum was speaking and mentioned me and she couldn't remember anything about me or who i even was"
the doctor looked very worried and ushered us into her room. as we walked in kayla looked up at us and gave a small smile
"hi kayla, i just want to do a quick test on you okay" the doctor spoke while looking at her notes that laid at the end of the bed.
"okay" kayla spoked confused
"okay im just going to ask you some questions and run a few small and simple tests that will take about 10 minutes. but im going to have to ask you two to wait outside during as it is confidential" the doctor spoke directing to us. me and her mum walked out and sat down on the bench once again and waited the longest 10 minutes of our life for the doctor to come out. Once the doctor came out she instructed us to follow her to a small room opposite to be in private.
"ok so after running a few tests I believe kayla has amnesia, im not sure how far back so i need to ask you a few questions to work out how far back her memory has been hit to determine wever we can help it."
i looked down in shock and my thoughts swirled my mind
'what if she never remembers'
'what if she remembers everything but me'
'what if she will never remember me again"
after the thoughts going around in my mind endless amounts of times i realised her mum and the doctor were speaking all this time without me
"okay, it seems as though the last thing she remembers is about 1 month before she moved to london, which isn't great if im being honest. we cannot determine so soon if it will be permanent or semi permanent amnesia it may wear off but we have had cases where the patient has not remember anything from what they forgot."
"so your saying, she may never remember me?"
"im sorry sir" the doctor spoke in a sad tone. her mum looked down as small tears ran down her face
"but, is there anything we can do to help"
"well there is really no cure for amnesia but if you want to help just be with her try and do things together you did before and see if it sparks any plugs making her remember but honestly thats the only thing you can do as her family. we have cases where it can help bring certain memories back" the doctor stood up from the chair and left us in the room to chill and think about everything through for a moment
"what if she never remembers?" i said to her mum
"we cant think like that, and if she does, we have to create new memories."
"she wont remember me"
"she fell in love with you before im sure she can again, maybe thats the way we get her to remember"
we sat in the room contemplating thoughts and what we would do, but for now, all we could do was wait.

i know i dont update as much on this book anymore its because i started other projects that im more proud of but i realise there is a lot of people that really like this book and it honestly means so much after how long it has been up.
after this book has finished i wasn't going write a sequel but if you would like one let me know
ive had a few ideas for other books so im gonna think about them first but it would mean alot to hear your guys input after all you would be the ones to read haha
