Patrick

(Both giggles)
But, even if you are. I dont mind as long you're this close to me.
Kenzie
So sappy
(Grabs his face and kisses him all over his face)
Patrick
I love you.
Kenzie
(Stops kissing him and looks in his eyes)

Patrick

Kenzie
What if I don't?
Patrick
(frowns)
Then, I guess I'll have to wait patiently.
Kenzie
But, you're so impatient..
Patrick
That I am.
Kenzie
Good thing I love you too!!!!
(Patrick smiles and gets up and picks Kenzie up bridal style. Kenzie yelps in happiness)
End of flashback
(It was shown that Kenzie was the one having the flashbacks. Jenna's voice is heard in the bacground and she is saying what happened in the bar with Patrick and Olive)
Jenna
They seemed close. Like friends.
(Jenna looks at Kenzie.)
They totally looked comfortable! Cristina thought they looked good together.
(Cristina throws a pillow at Jenna)
Cristina
Shut up!!!
Jenna
What!? Didn't you say they were both happy on their own!
(Jenna claps her hands in fron of Kenzie's face)
Hey!!! Are you listening?
Kenzie
(looks up at Jenna and at Cristina)
Cristina's right, we've both moved on.
Jenna
See! You didn't have to hit me with that pillow!
Cristina
Are you sure? I mean, its not just becasue you wanna please us right?
Kenzie
No! I had an amazing time with Elliot yesterday! We needed that, I can say I'm happy with him.
Jenna
Well! Since everyone seems to have moved on already! Then I guess everyone can be at dinner tonight!
Cristina
(she snaps her head at Jenna's remark. She gves her a sharp look)
You actually pushed through with that?
Jenna
Yeah!! Why not! We were friends with Patrick when him and Ken dated! And we're friends with Elliot now! And Olive, well her and Ken are sort of friends.
Kenzie
We're not friends.
Jenna
Then... Then, tonight can be a start!
Sarah at dinner with her staff
Sarah
So, Diane will use the idea that she has more experience than I do?
Adrian
Yes. She's smart and knows how to play her cards. I'm pretty sure she knows that we might want to use your late husband as a tactic.
Sarah
(raises her eyebrows)
What do you mean?
Adrian
Your husband was a loved Senator. Its a given you'll use his time in office as a propaganda.
(Sarah inhales and places her face on her plams)
Which is why we wont.. I mean, we can acknowledge the fact that he was your husband and that you wanna finish what he's started. But, we wouldn't rub that all in the public's place.
Sarah
Do you mean be suttle with it?
Adrian
Yes. We don't wanna play our cards all at once. One thing at a time.

(Olive's going through her closet when someone knocks on her door)
Olive
Come in.
Melissa
Hi honey. You going somewhere?
Olive
Yeah. I was umm.
(she trails off)
Melissa
what is it?
Olive
I don't know. I don't think I should go.
Melissa
Well, what is it? Where are you going?
Olive
Kenzie's firends invited me for dinner tonight.
Melissa
okay? Why won't it be a good idea.
Olive
(remembers Kenzie's remark)
I don't know. I just I do-
Melissa
Look honey. They were kind enough to go out of their way to invite you. Go. Kenzie will be there right?
(Olive nods)
And Patrick as well, I'm assuming.
Olive
Yeah, he was the reason why I was invited.
Melissa
See, you won't feel too out of place.
Kinley's bedroom

Do I really have to go?
Elliot
yes! I need at least 2 people to stop me from beating Patrick.
Kinley
(Scuffs)
You? Beat up Patrick? Wouldn't it be the other way around?
Elliot
Shut up okay! Just get ready and be down.
Kinley
You won't need me! You have Kenzie to stop you if you were to beat up Patrick.And Cristina and Jenna!
Elliot
Are you serious? Jenna!? She would be over her head trying to film the whole thing! Cristina would just go crazy because someone's fighting, and she'll panick because she'll see blood.
Kinley
Your blood im guessing.
Elliot
(Elliot throws a shirt to his brother)

(Jenna has reserved a private dining for all of them for the night)
Kinley
(looks down at his watch)
What time are people getting here!? I'm starving!
Cristina
We have to wait for Jenna, Olive, and Patrick.
Kinley
(rolls his eyes)
I don't mind waiting for Patrick and Olive. But Jenna!!! We will never eat!
Cristina
Then you shouldn't have come.
Kinley
I wasn't going to!
(raises his voice)
But, someone is hoping for blood to ooze tonight!!!
(Cristina, Elliot, and Kenzie all look at Kinley)
Kenzie
What are you talking about?
Elliot
(kicks Kinley under the table)
Nothing. He's being stupid.
Cristina
Like always.
Kinley
You know, your feelings are showing. Be more discreet about it baby.
(wraps his arms around Cristina's shoulder and snuggles on her neck. Cristina shuves her elbow on to his chest)
Cristina
Is that discreet enough?
(Kinley nods his head)
(The door opens, Olive and Patrick enters. Cristina, Kinley, and Elliot looks over at Kenzie who was looking at Olive's hands around Patrick's arms. Olive notices Kenzie's gaze and pulls her hand away from Patrick.)
(Kinley breaks the silence)
Kinley
Thank god! Now we can eat!
Kenzie
No... We have to wait for Jenna.
Patrick
(leads Olive to the table and pulls a seat opposite Cristina. Patrick chooses a seat opposite Kinley)
Sorry we're late.
Cristina
No. It's alright.
Kinley
No its not! I'm starving!!
Cristina
I love your top Olive!
Olive
Thank you! I love your purse.
(Kenzie scuffs at the exchange of words)
Kenzie
Complements will take you places.
Kinley
Sorry to ask this. But, are you two dating?
(everyone goes silent.)
you don't have to answer if you don't want to.
Patrick
(looks at Kenzie)
No. We're not. But you never know.
(then shifts his look to Olive)
We just might.
(Olive and Kenzie looks at Patrick)
(The door opens and Jenna enters)
Kinley
God!!! My god!!!
(turns over his plate)
Come on Cristina! I know you're starving too!
Kenzie
What took you so long?
Jenna
HONEY! You have to be fashionably late!
Elliot
Not to dinners. Especially when other people are waiting.
Jenna
Booo--hooo!
Kinley
Just eat and stop talking.
Jenna
God Kinley. Did you just finish climbing a mountain? You're eating as if you haven't eaten for days!
Kinley
(drops his fork)
No! But I did just come back from plotting a murder on this stuck up rich girl who loves to be fashionably late!
Cristina
Can you both please stop talking!

(going on the bed)
You know its good Ken is trying to get along with Olive.
David
(reading a book)
I thought they were friends.
Bridget
Well, you know how teenagers are. They hate each other for no reason.
David
No one can ever just hate someone, there's always a reason.
Bridget
(chuckles)
No.. We're girls. We don't need a reason to hate each other. It's in our nature.
David
(closes his book)
You know whats in a guys nature?
(looks at Bridget, Bridget raises her eyebrows)
When the kids are away, our nature is to do this....
(kisses his wife's lips)

(giggling)

David
Why? Come on, the kids aren't home and we'll be so busy with campaign season.
(Kisses her neck)

(smiles)

This dinner is dead!

that's because you didn't invite the right people..
(looks at Patrick)
Jenna
So, guys tell me! Hows it like?

Having your parents all be consumed with campaign week.
Elliot
Can we not talk politics!
Jenna
(rolls her eyes)
Fine! So, Patrick!! Will you be staying here for good?
Patrick
Well, I don't know. I was planning on it. But, I don't feel the need to anymore.
Cristina
Why? Do you not have confidence in your mom to win the election.
Patrick
I do. But, if she doesn't then I wouldn't wanna stay here.
Cristina
Why? Are we not enough to stay here for?
(she asks very sarcastically)
Kinley
I don't think you're the girl he would wanna stay here for.....
(He remarks it towards Kenzie, but he saw the way Elliot and Patrick looked at him and how Kenzie tensed up. He quickly re-dericted it towards Olive)
(stutters)
H-he-h-h-he would stay for umm. O-Olive. Olive.
(Elliot shakes his head and grabs Kenzie's hands)
Kenzie
(looks at Elliot)
Whats going on?
Elliot
We're leaving.
(gets up)
Jenna
Where are you going?
Elliot
Thanks for the dinner, but we'll be going.
(Kenzie gets up off her seat and goes to Cristina and Jenna.)
Lets go Babe.
Patrick
(gets up)
You're not leaving because of me are you?
Elliot
(looks at him)
Don't flatter yourself.
Patrick
I'm not... But, you are giving off that vibe.
Jenna
If you wanna leave just go.
(Elliot grabs Kenzie's arms and Kenzie winces)
Patrick
(grabs Elliot's arms)
I don't think that's very proper.
Elliot
(stairs at Patrick's hands and brushes it off)
Don't touch me.
(Everyone gets up, Kinley goes behind his brother)
Kinley
As much as I wanna see blood gushing, I would rather it not happen in front of the ladies.
(looks at Kenzie)
Don't worry they aren't fighting because of you... It's because our moms are running against each other. Has nothing to do with you at all!!
(Olive approaches Patrick)
Olive
(whispers to him)
Just let them go. Don't start anything.
(Kenzie sees the way Patrick calmed down when Olive said her words to him and it made her angry, jealous, and regretful)
Kenzie
Lets go!
(Elliot and Kenzie leave)
Kinley
WHOA! That was-
Cristina
Shut up and go follow them!
Kenzie and Elliot in the car on the way home
(Elliot has not spoken a word since they left the dinner.)
Elliot
I really hate that guy!
(Kenzie doesn't say anything but she just looks out the window)
I mean. Why does he care if I hold your hand a certain way?
(Elliot looks over at Kenzie, he could tell she was hearing everything he was saying but she chooses not to say a word, instead she stares out the window)
He should be worrying about Olive, not you! You're my girlfriend now, not his. Thats my job!
(They arrive at Kenzie's house, he opens the door for her. Before Kenzie enters the house, Kenzie kisses him. There was something different in the way she kissed him, it wasn't whole heartedly. She pulls away but he tugs her hand)
Elliot
Should I be concerned?
Kenzie

Elliot
Patrick.
Kenzie
NO! Why would you ask that?
Elliot
Ever since he came beack, you've been in another world.....
(leans back on the car)
In the past to be exact.
Kenzie
(surprised by his remark, she looks at him wide eyed)
No. I have no feelings for him! Absolutely nothing. Like you said, he's in the past.
Elliot
Exactly! Then let him stay there.. Don't let him interfere with what we have.
Kenzie
(Walks to Elliot and holds his hands)
I'm sorry.. I didn't mean for you to feel like this.
(She hugs him)

(Patrick smiles)
The way you look at her, the way your body tenses up when she moves a finger..
Patrick
I care about her, a lot... I love her, a lot...... And I don't think I ever stopped. I thought it would be me and her forever but, fate has a different plan.
Olive
Some people meet and they fall in love, but in the end they part. Thats what happened with you two. You shared amazing memories with her. But maybe its time to make new memories, like she is now with Elliot. You should find someone to make these new memories with.
(Patrick and Olive lock eyes)
Patrick

Klein and Deyes campaign poster photoshoot.
The whole Klein and Deyes are together at the studio for their photoshoot for the posters and pictures they'll be using for upcoming campaign season.
Both of the families are together and are posing together for the camera. The parents in the front and the kids behind them.
Next shoot are the parents all together and the next are the two candidates: Doug and David.
After awhile the kids are back on the camera again.
(After the shoot Olive approaches Kenzie about last night)
Olive
Hey, umm.. Can I talk to you about last night?
Kenzie
What about last night?
Olive
If it was a bit awkward for you-
Kenzie
(chuckles)
It wasn't awkward for me.
(Olive was about to say something when Kenzie cuts her off again)
Listen... I'm not a fan of being fake, I don't really like it. And thats what happens every time I talk to you, and it makes me seem like a hypocrite.
(Kenzie walks pass Olive to go to her brother but Olive catches up to her and insists on talking)
Olive
If you not liking me has anything to do with Pat-
Kenzie
It has nothing to do with him! Even if it is about him, thats just the tip of the ice berg.
(Kenzie walks away and goes to her brother)
Jefferson
It's definitely weird and awkward to be here with your ex's new girlfriend..
(Kenzie stares him down)
I mean come on! Taking pictures together and smiling, acting as if you're the best of friends..
Kenzie
Can you shut up! And! They aren't dating!
Jefferson
Not yet.
(Their conversation was cut off when someone came up to them to inform them for an interview)
Staff
Sorry to interrupt, but, its time for the interview.
Jefferson
Thank you, we'll be there.
(Staff walks away)
Come on, its time to be friendly in front of the camera.
(pushes his sister by the shoulder)
Staff
The parents will be interviewed together on this side and the kids, you'll be here.
(Kenzie and Olive sits on opposite sides of the couch and Jefferson goes right in between the girls )

Hello. I hope you guys are ready for this.
(Interviewer flips his card)
First question is for Jefferson. You're studying politics, I'm assuming you'll be following in your father's footsteps?
Jefferson
It would be nice to accomplish the same things as my father, but, I would like to be known for what I accomplished on my own. I wouldn't want to use my name to get to where I want to be, yes, it would be hard, but I'll try.
Interviewer
Very well said. Girls, you attend the same school and just last night you guys were seen together.
(Kenzie and Olive looks at each other)
Is it a plus that you two girls get along so well?
(None of the girls say anything, Jefferson nudges Kenzie)
(Kenzie was about to speak when Olive spoke up)
Olive
We're not the closest, we only did just meet and since we are going through the same things, its easier to connect.
Interviewer
And also, Olive, you have been seen a lot with Patrick Bisque. Whats going on with the two of you?
Olive
(looks at Kenzie)
He's great, we're friends and he's the first person that welcomed me here in DC.
Interviewer
Does that bother you Kenzie? I mean, you dated Patrick and now he's getting close with Olive.
Kenzie
What Patrick and I had was over a long time ago. I've moved on and am dating someone new. And i'm guessing he's moved on as well, he has the right to date anyone he wants... If thats Olive, then great.
Interviwer
You're both in your last years of High School and will be going to college next year. Will you be majoring in something that will lead you to politics or totally go a different direction?
Kinley and Cristina hang out
(Cristina opens the door and Kinley comes in)

Kinley

Do you have nothing better to do?
Kinley
No... Everyone's doing their own thing.

(Teddy comes down and greets Kinley)

She's helping me look for an apartment.

Yeah, somewhere closer.

(goes up to Jefferson)
Ooohhh honey!! You're moving closer?
Jefferson
Mom... If I find a place.
Doug
Well. will it just be you then Olive?
Olive
(shakes her head)
I have plans too dad.
Doug
I'm guessing it will just be us adults then.
(Kenzie and Jefferson walks out the building first)

Are you really planning on moving somewhere closer?
Jefferson
Yeah... I mean, if I find a place.

What about school?
Jefferson
It's my last year! And I'm not sure about moving yet, that's why I haven't told anyone.
(Jefferson and Kenzie stops walking when they see Patrick standing outside in front of a car)

(Jefferson goes up to him)

Patrick
(looks over)
Hey, Jefferson. Long time no see.
Jefferson

Patrick

(looks over at his sister)

I'm a, I'm waiting for-
(A door opens and Olive comes out)
Olive
Sorry, I was being interrogated.
(Kenzie looks at Olive and at Patrick)

(looks back at Jefferson)
It was nice seeing you again man.
Jefferson

(They dab each other up)
Patrick
Ken... Nice seeing you.
(Kenzie smiles at him)
Ready to go Olive?
Olive
Ah, yeah. Lets go.
(Olive walks over to Patricks car and Ptrick opens the door for her)

(goes inside the car, he drives off)
