They all sat in the car, Spike holding Buffy in his arms waiting to get home. The drive took an hour but they finally pulled up in the driveway, Spike got out and picked Buffy up, he went upstairs and placed her on their bed.
'Shes about 5 months now, that is probably why they are getting worse' Willow said, the gang sitting around the kitchen bench on their stools.
'You are probably right Willow, the bigger the baby the more blood it needs. We should probably go to the hospital again for another check up when Buffy wakes up' Giles said
'If she wakes up...' Dawn mumbled, Spike stared at her with a shocked look on his face, tears and anger in his eyes. He jumped up and kicked the stool away, kicking it across the room. He left the house.
'Dawn!' Xander yelled 'How could you say that!'
'I... I didn't mean it...' Dawn bursted into tears and ran upstairs into her room slamming the door shut, she fell onto the door tears streaming down her face. She got up and quietly opened the door and slipped out, she went up to Buffy's door and put her head around the slightly opened door. She walked in and knelt down in front of her big sister
'Hey Buffy, hopefully you wake up soon, we miss you. Um I said something bad before and I am really sorry, Spike got angry at me and left' The tears rolled down her cheeks, her mascara smudging 'he will come back though! I know he will he loves you Buffy, I love you! We all love you! Your baby loves you... I'm so sorry!'
Spike was standing in the door way listening to Dawn cry her eyes out.
'It's okay niblet, I'm sorry for getting angry' He weakly smiled, Dawn turned around and saw Spike standing there.
'How long have you...?' She started asking but got cut off
'The whole time' He smiled, Dawn got up and walked towards Spike he put his arms out and wrapped them around Dawn and she cried.
'It's okay, she will wake up, she's tough she will get through anything' Spike told Dawn. They both knelt down and held Buffy's hand.
'We love you pet please wake up' Spike whispered. Buffy's eye lids twitched and slowly opened.
'Buffy!?' Spike yelled
'Yeah?' Buffy smiled weakly
'Oh my gosh!' Dawn yelled and got up and ran downstairs to get the gang.
'Buffy' Spike said tears in his eyes bubbling on the edge
'Sorry' she whispered
'No need, your back' he smiled. The gang ran in
'Oh Buff thank god' Xander said
'Guys I am fine' Buffy replied sitting up
'Buffy I think we should go to the hospital, when your ready' Giles announced
'Yeah let's go, just let me change' Buffy said hoping off the bed. The gang walked out the room and Dawn slowly shut the door.
'Are you okay?' Spike asked, Buffy looked him in the eye and walked up to him
'Of course baby' she smiled
'Buffy!' he said tears forming again in his eyes, Buffy went up and hugged him.
'Shh Spikey I am okay' Buffy started kissing Spike passionately
'Gosh I have missed this' Buffy said heavy breathing
'Me too!' Spike agreed kissing her back
'How long till you reckon they will come get us?' Buffy asked kissing Spike's neck
'In like 1 minute maybe' Spike frowned pulling away 'gosh I have missed you' he said
'I have been right here baby the whole time' Buffy smiled
'No... you have been hormonal, crazy fainting Buffy'
'I am sorry I can't help that, tonight though if I am normal' Buffy winked at Spike and laughed. She walked over to the closet and pulled out some clothes.
'Does this match?' she asked
'No way' Spike replied
'Oh gosh. I don't know. Please help me' Buffy pleaded
'It's okay Buffy!' Spike said walking over and pulling her favourite jeans and shirt out
'Here these match' he said
'Thanks' she smiled changing into the clothes.
The hospital was full of people, so the gang had to wait. Buffy was sitting starring at Spike smiling, Spike was off day dreaming into the distance until he felt the burn of Buffy's eyes on him.
'Yeah?' he asked
'Nothing' she smiled up at him
'You're cute when you're like this' Spike laughed
'How about Miranda?' Buffy asked
'What love?' Spike asked confused
'Names' Buffy replied
'Miranda's a nice name' Xander smiled
'It is isn't it!?' Buffy squealed
'Sh' Spike said touching Buffy's arm
'Sorry!' She whispered
'Miss Summers' The doctor smiled greeting Buffy
'We are ready for you'
'Ooo come on Spike' Buffy said jumping up and grabbing Spike. Spike looked at her confused she wasn't scared to go to the hospital he thought.
The doctor started the ultra sound when Buffy jumped into the chair, Spike put his hand out for her to hold.
'I am not scared' Buffy smiled at him
'Look!' the doctor said 'you can see its heart beat, Buffy you are about 5 months and a bit pregnant'
'Heart beat?' Spike asked
'Yes... heart beat' the doctor replied in confusion
'It's a human...' Spike whispered
'Do you want to know the gender?' The doctor asked
'Oh that's up to Buffy' Spike replied looking at his lover
'No' Buffy smiled 'I want a big surprise.'
'How did it go?' Giles asked when they returned from the room and walked to the car park.
'It's a human' Spike replied
'Are you disappointed?' Willow asked
'What! No! I'm glad' Spike replied.
They gang arrived home and Buffy climbed the stairs and went to her room. The rest of the gang stayed downstairs in the kitchen, the usual meeting place.
'I don't understand! If the baby is a human why is it drinking Buffy's blood!?' Giles asked frustrated because he did not know the answer.
'I guess Spike and I should go now' Willow said
'Yeah I'll just tell Buffy' Spike replied turning to go up the stairs. He reached his bedroom and walked in, Buffy was on the bed lying down.
'Hey pet' Spike smiled, Buffy jumped up at the sound of his voice
'Spikey!' She yelled running up and hugging him, little tears formed in his eyes
'Hey love' he pulled her in close
'I have to go now with Willow, to find out why this has happened and what the baby is doing to you' Spike whispered into her ear
'No!! Don't leave me!' Buffy yelled tears rolling down her face, Spike tighten the hug
'Love shhh' Spike whispered, Buffy sobbed 'it will be short I will be back very soon! I promise' Spike told her, he had no idea how long he would be, but what's the worst she could do he thought. He pulled away and put his hands on her shoulders
'You're going to stay here with Giles, Dawn and Xander okay they will take good care of you Buff'
'Spike' Buffy whispered
'Yes love' he replied
'Don't leave me'
'Pet'
'Yes?' Buffy replied
'What did I just say?' Spike asked
'I know what you said, I heard every word. I love you' Buffy said
'I love you too darlin' he replied pulling her in and kissing her. He backed away
'See you soon' he squeezed her hand and walked out the door.

'So where is this place Spikey?' Willow teased as they climbed in the car
'Ha-ha! It doesn't matter' Spike replied
'Why won't you tell anyone?' Willow asked
'Because' Spike replied putting his foot on the accelerator and pulling out the drive way. They drove a long way just out of town in silence but the radio was on, you could just hear the faint sound of music. Spike pulled up along the side of the road and got out, Willow looked at him in confusion but climbed out.
'Spike there's nothing here!' Willow complained
'Shh' he said walking around with his hands slightly out as if he was looking for something. Willow looked around all that was here was trees and dirt. How could the place be here she thought. Spike went up to one of the fat trees and placed his hands on it, his pale hands felt the bark, moving them slightly looking for the right spot. Spike finally stopped moving and stood still he shut his eyes and said
'Let me in, I am worthy, I came with questions!' The tree ripped apart, opening a different world, the colours purple and orange whirled around. Willow's eyes rolled in circles following the swirls of the colours, Spike turned around and grabbed Willow's arm
'Come on!' he yelled stepping into the pool of purple and orange swirls.

'Where are we Spike!?' Willow yelled
'A different world' Spike replied
They stood in rather large cave, not an empty cave it was fit enough for someone to live in and someone did. An old man walked out from behind a rocky wall
'Spike' he smiled walking over and shaking Spike's hand
'How long's it been!?' The old man asked
'A fair while Bolly' Spike replied
Willow thought to herself, Bolly's a weird name, what is going on. Her thoughts became real when she said
'Spike what are we doing here in another world!?' Willow asked with a raised voice.
'Parla is a lovely world' Bolly replied
'Parla? I have never heard of that!' Willow replied
'And how many different worlds have you heard of?' Bolly asked, Willow said nothing.
'Look Bolly, I don't know if you have heard anything but...'
'There's a baby on the way' Bolly smiled
'Yeah my baby' Spike smiled back, Bolly went over and placed his hands on Spike's out reached hands. Bolly shut his eyes and concentrated for about 5 minutes.
'Do you know why?' Bolly finally asked
'Know what?' Spike replied
'Why your baby was made?'
'No... Bolly do you?'
'No... I am sorry, one day the baby will come in to need, it will help, I cant say yet I do not know' Bolly looked at Spike and shut his eyes again another 5 minutes past and he opened his eyes and backed away.
'What!? Bolly what!?' Spike asked
'She' Bolly whispered
'She?' Spike replied in confusion
'She will die' Bolly whispered and turned away and put his hands on the near wall.
'The baby? Is the baby a girl?' Spike asked confused about what Bolly was talking about, but Willow's face was straight and her eyes not blinking.
'Will?' Spike asked
'Buffy...' Willow whispered
'WHAT!?'
'Yes... She... Buffy, your lover... will die' Bolly said turning around to face Spike. Spike fell to his knees tears dripping out his eyes.
'No... Buffy will not die! BUFFY WILL NOT DIE!' Spike screamed the rocky cave walls shivered
'The baby... The baby is killing her' Bolly said
'I KNOW! I KNOW! IT IS DRINKING HER BLOOD AND KILLING HER BUT THE BABY IS A HUMAN!' Spike yelled tears pouring out his eyes.
'The baby is not drinking the blood it is fighting the blood...' Bolly whispered scared at what Spike might do next
'What? How? I don't understand' Willow asked
'The baby is growing faster... As you can see, then a normal baby. The baby is not normal. The baby is human but the strength of a slayer and a vampire speeding up the process. Once born the baby will grow normally just like a normal human though. But since it is growing fast it needs more blood so Buffy is pumping more blood but... The baby does not understand so it fights it' Bolly said carefully looking at Spike for his reaction.
'Okay' he replied standing up and wiping his tears 'okay that is okay, so whats wrong?' Spike asked, confused
'The baby is getting rid of Buffy's blood, therefore slowly killing her, I would say Buffy has about 3 weeks maximum left until... Until she is dead' Bolly whispered the last part, Spike stared at him with a straight face fighting the tears.
'How do I get the baby out!? How do I get the baby out without hurting Buffy!!?' Spike yelled, Bolly slowly turned around and started walking away.
'BOLLY!' Spike screamed falling to his knees again
'Bolly!!! This is not fair help us! Help us!' Spike demanded, Bolly turned his head around and looked at Spike but said nothing and walked off. The purple and orange portal opened and Willow looked at it and then back at Spike screaming on the ground, she rushed over and help him up, he was not much help, Willow practically had to drag him and they fell into the portal of purple and orange swirls and fell onto the dirt next to their car.
