Chase sat in the chair not knowing how Georgia and Avery were going to be like when it came to makeup and hair. She knew Avery got excited very quickly and Georgia was the calm but bubbly one at the same time. It was a gamble, she was going to have to make.
"Relax and go put on your dress." Avery ordered as Chase looked at her demanding state, making her way to her bedroom, into her massive walk-in and pulled out the dress, that she had picked out to wear.
It was a mauve pink colour that accentuated against her fair complexion. The pink dress reached to the floor as the upper part of the body was lace and created an artistic design with an intricate vibe to it. The white stood out against the pink giving it an elegant chance as it started from the bottom of her neck. An A line dress.
The sleeves were three quarters with the same white intricate design lingering until it reached three quarters of her arms. From the lower half of the dress, there was a chiffon fabric to it, which swayed perfectly, covering her completely, giving off that modest yet classy look.
Chase stared at herself in the mirror, her elongating frame proved to be quite a beauty with this dress, as it showed her true height. Guess she got that from her mother.
She made her way back to the girls to see Georgia placed a black cloak over her like they did in the hairdressers.
"Reduces any makeup fall-age." She smiled as Georgia started pulling out foundation, eyeshadows to try and match with Chase's dress, wanting this to be perfect.
Avery had started on Memphis' hair as she straightened her natural curls to give off a shiny, straight, sleek look.
"So, are you excited?" Georgia asked applying a base of primer into Chase's face.
"Not really." Chase shook her head. "If you mean excited to see Xavier dancing and having girls hit on him, then yeah." She flashed a bright set of teeth as the girls laughed at this.
"Ah, Xavier is a delight. I'm glad he's back in town." Memphis smiled as Georgia and Avery smiled at Memphis.
"Xavier is Chase's best friend. The only person that makes her smile." Chase turned her head to Memphis as Georgia and Avery giggled. "It's true. Xavier treats Chase like a Queen and she treats him like a King. They practically had their own magical kingdom when they were seven years old." Memphis smiled reminiscing old memories as Chase released a small smile, with Georgia grabbing some concealer.
"It was the Kingdom of Fear." Chase recollected the memories of Xavier and her chasing after each other in their favourite forest, they'd always roam and search for adventures together. "Ariadna was the lost soldier. She needed our help." Chase smiled.
"So, being the King and Queen they helped." Memphis continued the story. "They helped this Ariadna and gave her a safe home." Memphis admitted as Chase chuckled.
"Main point is, Xavier and Chase could run a kingdom if they wished too, they had this inseparable bond that no one could break if they tried too."
"Aww, don't be so modest, Memphis." Chase said amused.
"But it was true, some were jealous of their friendship."
"Kinda like mine and Georgia's friendship. People used to try and tear us apart, but we fought back ten times harder." Avery smiled in accomplishment as the two girls fist-bumped each other.
"But obviously, every friendship goes through rocky times, it's a known fact." Georgia shrugged as she closed an eyeshadow palette and picked up another searching for a good colour to match with the dress.
"But all we can say from past experiences is that." Avery released the chunk of hair from Memphis and continued. "You keep and stay strong for that friendship, because friendship is much more important than relationships and etc. Friendship is your second road to home, y'know?" Avery explained as Chase listened intently to the two girls express their points. They had good intentions and held truth, which Chase admired.
Truly, these two girls were lovely and Dianna couldn't help but to smile at this beautiful friendship of theirs.
"Of course, since I am Memphis' best friend." Chase made the conversation more lighter as Memphis chuckled.
"Of course you are, love. After all, I still don't get over how you always say,"
"Open the door, Memphis." The two girls laughed in unison.
The conversation flew by pretty great as Avery finished up on Memphis' hair and started on Chase's, Georgia had finished up the remaining touches on Chase before making her way towards Memphis and starting on her face.
Their conversations were filled with harmony and truly blissful, allowing them to focus on each other instead of the troubles they've faced the couple of days.
After another hour, both girls had completed their masterpieces on Memphis and Chase. Removing the cloths and finding the girl's shoes, Chase and Memphis slipped them on as they stood up. Turning to face each other after a while.
"Wow." Chase smiled at her friend who looked beautiful in a midnight blue coloured dress that made Memphis stand out like a beauty.
She had crystals on her dress as she sparkled, when she turned around. The makeup had done her great but her hair made her look like a completely different person. The underground master had turned into an overground beauty.
"You look beautiful." Memphis mirrored Chase's reaction agreeing.
Georgia and Avery smiled in awe at each other before making the two girls face the full length mirror. Chase almost gasped not recognising this person in front of her. She looked far from scary and ruthless, she actually looked... pretty and elegant.
The dress did her good as her makeup was matched to perfect with her hair tied up into a half up, but half down braid style. She had her hair poofy at the top with her side fringe exposed. The remaining of her hair was straight and flowing down to her mid shoulders.
She couldn't help but admire the work down by Avery and Georgia and somehow managed to wrap them into a hug, as they chuckled hugging Chase back.
"No worries, it was nothing." Avery blew at her straightener, as Georgia nudged her best friend.
"We're glad you like it."
"Of course, thank you so much!" Memphis engulfed the two into a bone-crushing hug as they embraced the gorgeous girl back.
"You're welcome." Georgia smiled.
The clock read 5:47 meaning the event started at 6:30. Enough time to go over-.
Ding dong.
The girls exchanged glances at each other, Memphis had a cheeky smile gliding upon her face. She raised up her index finger as she made her way towards the door to open it, finding a handsome Evan standing there, with another person standing beside him chuckling over something.
Chase swallowed as she stared at Evan, he was dressed in a sleek black suit and saw his beautiful blonde hair had a fresh cut, his eyes brightened in surprise as he spotted Dianna in front of him.
"Wow. You look beautiful." He truthfully spoke causing Chase to smile.
"Thanks, you look handsome yourself." Georgia and Avery nudged each other smirking in victory as Memphis and her date greeted each other.
"Dianna, meet Jacob. Jacob meet, Dianna." Memphis smiled interlocking her arm with the tall dark-skinned basketball player.
"Sup, Wyld." She greeted.
"Sup, Chase."
Memphis' smile dropped as she looked between the both of us. "You two know each other?" The duo nodded their heads.
"We used to go school together. She's actually a great sportsperson." He praised with a nod as Chase smiled shaking her head.
"And you're a really good basketball player, I see why Memphis digs you." Memphis blushed profusely, eyes widening at Chase's comment.
Jacob started teasing Memphis as Georgia and Avery backed away, leaving Evan and Chase to meet with each other. They both stepped closer to each other.
Dianna took in Evan's features more prominently as she saw the amusement and playfulness in his eyes, which she shared.
"You look gorgeous." He stared into her grey eyes, Dianna stared at him as a small smile lingered at her lips.
"I don't think I got a chance to ask you properly, but Dianna Chase," he squeezed his hands together slightly to reveal a rose in hand as her lips parted, "will you go to the annual party with me?" He held the rose out for Dianna as Memphis, Jacob, Avery and Georgia all stared in awe and love.
Chase switched glances from the rose to Evan as she nodded her head slowly taking hold of the rose slowly as Evan smiled, flashing a set of pearly white teeth.
"WOOHOO!" Avery, Georgia and Memphis screamed making Chase, Evan and Jacob turn to them. "I've been waiting for this!" Memphis sighed as the girls giggled.
"This is too cute!" Avery called as she pulled her phone out. "Smile." Evan and Chase looked up at the camera still confused as Avery clicked the photo.
The photo consisted of Evan and Chase looking at the camera with their brows slightly furrowed, eyes twinkling against the flash as they both held a cute look.
"Aww, this is going to go in my scrapbook." Avery realised what she said as she looked up. "Not that I have one." She walked away feeling embarrassed.
"So, who is ready to go to the party?"
