After a few days of waiting for Louis to show, I give up. I dont even know him, I shouldn't be pining after him this much. At least that's what I tried to convinve myself. There is always a small part of my brain thinking about him, no matter what I am doing. But, I do not let that stop me from resuming my escape plan.
Recent rains have made the forest soggy and cold, as well as making the stone wall slippery- too slippery. This postpones my departure by at least three day, and those three days will not go to waste.
I really begin to think, think about what I am going to do when i leave, how I am going to support myself. I do not know anything but Anchorage and may not get a job for a while, so this worries me. I know I should be worried, but the uncertainty is the price I have to pay for freedom.
To clear my head of these troubling thoughts, I roam the halls. Their dull colors tend to numb the minds of those walking them. As I make my rounds, however, I notice how few people are making noise. It feels like I am walking through a tomb. It is the quiet before the storm I can tell, but what storm I do not know.

Sorry about the filler chapter :/. I'm going to start updating regularly because I had a sudden idea for the plot. If any of you have an idea feel free to comment but I promise it will get better :).
