"You've got 5 seconds to get up before I... oh look there you are."
Dipper's eyes barely cracked open to see bill mere inches from his face. "B-bill? G-get off!"
"Oh fine," he sighed and stood up. "Come downstairs."
"Why?" Dipper rubbed his eyes and sat up.
"It's a surprise."
Dipper starred at bill for a moment, not sure if he was serious. "No"
Bill starred at him dumbfounded. "Well why not?"
"Because surprise from you probably means something bad." Dipper laid back down.
Bill glared at him and extended a finger at him. The bed sheets started to glow and as bill swiped his hand forward the sheet flew off. "Up
Now" bill smiled. then dipper was glowing and practically floated up like zero gravity. Bill pulled him off and he hovered mere inches above the floor. Then bill dropped him. He landed with a thud "There you go. I'll be waiting for you downstairs." With that he left.
Dipper was left starring at the door as bill left.
He really wasn't kidding about returning powers
Dipper got up with a heavy sigh. He was definitely going to have a bruise or two from that.
Dipper didn't bother to get out of his pj pants and went down the stairs. He rubbed his eyes in attempt to adjust to the bright light of the kitchen.
Mabel and bill were standing there looking proud. They were covered in flower... which dipper hadn't noticed when bill woke him due to him being tired.
They were wearing aprons and Mabel's hair was tied back in a tight ponytail.
There were, in total, five plates sitting on the counter. Each plate had their own stack of pancakes on them.
"Dipper! You're just in time to eat a delicious breakfast made by William and yours truly," Mabel grinned really wide.
"The two of you made pancakes?" Dipper asked
"Yup"
"When was this orchestrated?"
"At the lake yesterday" Mabel laughed "when else silly?"
So my sister and Bill are teaming up against me and becoming friends. Not to mention Bill is a dream demon.. and she doesn't know. Dipper thought.
Just then Ford came bursting into the room saying with a worried tone, "Mabel, I just got your text memo! Are you okay?"
"Yup. We made pancakes." She smiled.
Ford's shoulders relaxed, "but your memo said 'come quick there is an explosion in the kitchen'"
"An explosion of flavor!" Mabel cheered. "Now that you're up here come and eat. Oh, and grunkle Ford, it's text message."
Ford sighed, "yes Mabel."
Dipper chuckled slightly at Mabel making ford worry like that and not even having a clue. Then again, dipper knew the only reason that Ford comes out of the lab is for an emergency so it was probably planned.
Bill's eyes fixed on dipper and he motioned him over. Dipper cautiously walked up to the table next to bill and looked down at the plates of food.
"We made them from scratch because we ran out of batter. They are really good you should take a plate." Bill insisted.
Dipper hummed.
"They aren't poisoned. just eat it," bill laughed.
Dipper recognized the familiar phrase from their first meeting and shook his head, taking a plate. "They look good."
Stan joined us moments later not really saying anything but taking a plate and then walking off to watch tv. Mabel just shrugged her shoulders.
They all ate together, besides Stan, and talked about little things but dipper didn't really join the conversation. He just watched. It was like bill was a regular member of the house only after a few weeks. Dipper still had the thought at the back of his head that all that bill was doing was still manipulating them. He couldn't help but think that there was some awful twist to everything that was happening. Just like when Ford first met bill.
It maybe wasn't friendship but some sick and twisted game...
As if on cue bill looked over at dipper and dropped his part in the conversation. "Come with me. Outside." He said.
It took dipper a second to process that.
"Outside? What's outside?" Dipper asked.
"Just come outside with me," he insisted. Bill stood up taking his and dipper's empty plates and tossing them into the sink. He then walked over to the door and looked back at dipper. "Come on."
Dipper grunted and stood up. He walked over to the door bill was holding open for him and stepped out. The day was mostly sunny and really warm weather.
"Dipper!" Bill yelled out. He was already at the edge of the forest. "Let's go this way."
"Hm? Oh okay!" Dipper called back and jogged to catch up with him. They entered the woods.
It didn't take dipper long to notice that they were walking along a familiar path. They passed the creek and the Rose fields and wound up at the feet of a triangular figure.
"Bill... why are we here..? Doesn't it freak you out or something?" Dipper asked.
"That's like asking a snake if it's scared when it sheds its skin," bill laughed. "No..." his expression grew more serious. "I want to figure it out." He crouched down and put his fingers along the stone statue.
"Figure what out?"
"How I'm alive. It doesn't make any sense. I should be dead. I've had many other forms in the past... but each time my body just changed... there wasn't a ghost of who I was left behind. On top of that, why now? It used to take me thousands of years to change shape. Nothing... like this. So instant."
Dipper stood there in silence. He didn't have an answer.
Bill continued to examine the statue in full detail. At one point he summoned what looked like a blue glowing knife and attempted to stab par of it but the knife broke. "I can't break it. I can't understand it. And I can't change it. It's like it's made of some unknown material stronger then titanium." Bill sighed and stood. "Dipper come here."
Dipper walked over cautiously. "What is it?"
"Touch it."
"T- what?"
"Just do it..."
Dipper sighed and placed his fingers around the top. Nothing happened.
"And you can't do anything either..." bill scratched his head.
"Well I dont know-" dipper stopped talking once he noticed the world around him was... fading. "Bill."
"What am I to do? I want to know."
"Bill"
"What is it pine tree?! I'm busy."
"Look." Dipper pointed to the ground. "It fading."
The area under dipper's feet was almost solid black at this point.
"Dipper come here" bill stuck out his arm, Worry growing in his expression.
Dipper walked closer to bill, taking his hand. Bill pulled him towards the center of the area where the black was heading towards. By the time they got there, there was a small circular area where it wasn't black but the entire world surrounding them was like a thick black fog.
"Bill,.. what's happening..?"
"Shh.." he hushed. There was a loud and deep laughing noise and bill pushed dipper back, Keeping one hand holding dipper's and the other in front of him protectively.
Dipper wasn't sure what was going on but it was scaring him that bill looked so nervous. The laugh made dipper even more scared.
There was a flash in the fog and the sound of lightning. Bill grabbed onto dipper's hand tighter.
The whole time bill had been looking around on guard.
There was a voice In some language that dipper couldn't understand but he did hear one thing clearly. "Chipher"

Then the world began fading back to normal and the fog disappeared.
"Bill... what... what was that?" Dipper asked.
Bill turned and faced dipper his expression almost angry. He began to answer,
"A warning."
