As much as I wanted to stay in bed today, I had no choice.

I had to find a job. Or jobs..

I took a shower and changed into comfortable clothes. And what I meant by that is a tee with a jacket, leggings, some sneakers, and a beanie. I decided bring a bag with me, because I didn't like feeling empty.

My eyes landed on some colourful daisies. I felt myself smile. From behind the counter, I grabbed a basket and gathered some of them, testing my skills in floristry. Luckily, it turned out pretty cute.

I was proud of my work. So after tying a ribbon on the basket handle, I stepped out of the shop. Snow was falling, and to be honest: I hated winter.

And it's probably cause growing up, I rarely had clothes that would bring me warmth. And though I didn't get sick easily, I often had a runny nose. Did that make sense? In short, my immune system didn't like the winter.

It's been a while since I've actually had some alone time. And I actually felt.. happy.

I couldn't imagine my high school life without everyone. I learned to open my arms to new people, and to be honest, I got to know myself even more. I became more.. social and happy.

As I continued to walk down the snowy street, I tried to ignore the endless buzzing of my phone. But after a few more minutes of this, I stopped to see who was messaging me.. was it called spamming?

From: Taehyung ❤️

Topic: good morninggg

- Jagiiiii

- Are you busy

- I want to see youuu

- No kisses today :'(

- Do you need anything

I felt myself smiling reading his messages. One by one, I replied to his texts, saying that I had to go visit Jungkook and find a job.

Soon, I reached the hospital and quickly made my way to Jungkook's room. Now that I was inside, I realised just how tired I was.

We stayed in the hospital until midnight. And I guess it took me a while to go to sleep. God, I should've slept earlier. But then, it was for Jungkook..

I knocked on the door, patiently waiting for someone to open it. After about 2 minutes, Auntie pulled the door open. She looked tired.

"Eomanim," I frowned, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Have you not gotten any sleep yet? Please rest. Let me watch over him in the meantime."

"Suyung." she started, smiling up at me and the basket in my hands. "Don't you have to go and find a job?"

Ah. My mother must've told her about it, huh? "Yes, but it's still early. I can watch over him until noon. And I'll wake you up before going. I promise."

She lets me inside and walked over to a small couch on the side. I had mixed feelings as my gaze dropped on Jungkook laying on the bed. I was sad yet happy at the same time. "Has he woken up yet?" I sat down on a chair beside him.

I placed the basket of flowers on the bedside table.

"He has." she replied. "But he needs to rest. And he can't eat yet."

I nodded and turned my head to look at him. He looked so peaceful sleeping, I couldn't help but smile. Thank god he wasn't shot in the chest or the shoulder, because in that case, he would have had been caught in a coma.

I got texts from Seokjin and Hobi asking what had happened last night. And since I didn't really have much to do, I replied and told them everything. From the suspicions and that he was now okay.

It's probably been 2 hours of watching him. But he still didn't wake up. Though I wasn't complaining, I wanted him to rest.

I hear a knock on the door, making me turn my head. Jaehee poked her head inside and switched gazes between Auntie and me.

"Come in." I chuckled. She gulped and nodded, before quietly walking inside.

"How is he doing?" she sat on the opposite side of me, her eyes glued on Jungkook.

"Best at his case." I smiled, before motioning over to the basket and standing up. "I'd hate to go, but I'm gonna have to get a job. Once he wakes up, tell him the flowers are from Hobi and Seokjin."

"What?" she cursed under her breath. "Wait, no, Suyung!" she whisper-shouted as I shouldered my bag.

"What?" I mocked her voice.

She blushed. "Hey, you can't just leave me alone with him and his mother!"

I playfully rolled my eyes. "She's nice, I swear. She knows I have to go find a job, and she needs the sleep."

She sighed and waved goodbye. I returned it before turning on my heel, exiting the room and hospital.

Unfortunately, the meeting building was far from where I was. I ended up taking a cab to get there. And it was a 10 or 15 minute ride. There was a restaurant on the first floor, where I entered and approached the woman behind the counter.

"Hello ma'am, would you like anything?" she asked me politely, grabbing a small notebook on the side. "Beverages? Bread?"

"A job." I said, tapping my fingers on the counter. "If I could."

She nodded, her mouth forming a perfect 'o' as she quickly gave me an application form from one of the cabinets. "You're just in time, ma'am! We needed just one more employee. Because it's only the two of us working here!" she lets out a sigh of relief.

"So for sure you'll get the job." she grinned at me excitedly. "So hello future co-worker! I'm Kim Jisoo. And people know me as Jisoo, so you can call me Jisoo." she winked.

I smiled at her enthusiasm and pushed the filled up form over to her. "I guess I'll be expecting myself to be seeing you every?"

"Every weekday. Oh, and meet the guy in the kitchen." she chuckled, before turning her head to look at the kitchen door, "Jackson, Get your ass in here!"

As expected, a guy in a white shirt, with an apron on top, and some jeans, stumbled inside. He turned to me and waved. "Oh, hey. I'm Jackson."

"Aish! I almost forgot to ask yours." Jisoo snapped her fingers and gave me a questioning look.

"Rhee Suyung." I introduced. "And.. I'll guess I'll see you tomorrow. Yeah?" the restaurant didn't have much customers, in fact, it didn't have any customers at all, but maybe because tomorrow was christmas eve.

"Uhuh." Jisoo nodded. "Your shift will start at 3:00-7:00PM. Basically the three of us have the same shifts, since we're students too. So yay!" she giggled.

"See ya!" Jackson waved, accidentally hitting Jisoo on the head.

"Hey!" she growled, nudging him on the ribs.

"Ow!"

I smiled on their cute friendship and entered the actual building, before walking up the stairs. Mom told me the tax room was in the 2nd floor. And as I expected when I reached the 2nd floor, I found myself in front of an office room.

A woman was about to enter, when I tapped her on the shoulder. "Uh.. how do sign up for a job?"

She smiled and pointed at a certain counter, before waving at me. I quickly thanked her and made my way to said counter.

"Excuse me, is this where I sign up?" I asked the man typing in his computer. He looked up at me and nodded, before handing me a form.

"Sign it up and don't forget your number so we can call you." he instructed. I nodded slowly and wrote each answer carefully, before handing it back to him. "Alright. We'll contact you."

I nodded and bowed, before exiting the building. I waited for a cab, and by the time I got back to town, It was already 7PM, and from time to time as I head home, I would stop and reply to Taehyung's messages, as he seemed to be really bored.

- Tonight is christmas eve!

- I have no one to spend it with :(

- Have fun with your wonderful family, Yuna~

I smiled softly at his messages and replied that he shouldn't feel too bad. I didn't want to spoil him my surprise that I was going to see him later after our family dinner.

Because really, we would usually just eat dinner and that was our christmas. Sometimes we would have gifts, but I didn't expect anything as of now. Though I may have something for Nami..

I was glad to come home to family dinner.

"Merry Christmas!" Nami greeted everyone as she entered the quiet dining room, a santa hat on her head. She then started singing 'Jingle bells', and that's where I noticed her stumbling upon her words.

"Let me give you your gift tomorrow, Nami." I smiled, softly pinching her cheek. She nodded.

"Yay!" she said excitedly, sitting beside me and scanning the table. "Did Grandma and Grandpa cook this? Yippie! Mommy could only cook omelets and pancakes."

Mina blushed. "But at least they taste good, right?"

"Kinda.." she replied.

Well, the only thing I could actually cook were just omelets. How sad for me.

"Alright, let's pray." Mom smiled, holding out her hands. Since I was beside her, I held it and did the same thing with Nami's. "Suyung, lead the prayer."

As always, I did.

Dinner ended sooner than I thought. I'm glad Nami and Mina were around. For 3 years, it's only been me, mom, and dad that has been eating dinner together. But tonight was much more fun than I expected.

Once we were done, since I was feeling nice today, I volunteered to wash the dishes. It didn't take too long, though.

By the time I was done, it was already 12.

Mom seemed to be in her room already. While Dad, Mina and Nami, were still on the couch, listening to her singing christmas carols.

"Dad," I started, drying my hands. "I won't be out for too long. But I just want to see him. Just for a while."

Dad and Mina looked up, before giving each other knowing gazes.

"Alright." he shrugged. "But you said to not be out for too long. I don't want you to do anything funny."

Mina chuckled. "Yeah. You go, little sis."

I gave them smiles and overcome with happiness, I wrapped the three of them into a tight hug. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I thanked, before waving.

I slipped my jacket on and fastened my pace as I turned to a certain street.

Once I reached his house, I noticed him standing on the backyard of the house, where a lot of flowers laid around him. The soft lights detailed everything. And he was looking up at the night sky.

Quietly, I opened the gate and approached him from behind.

I tried not to giggle as I stood on my tiptoes and covered his eyes with my hands. "Guess who." I tried my best to copy Jimin's voice.

I felt him smile. He placed his hands on top of mines before turning around.

"Merry Christmas, Taehyung." I whispered. He gently grabbed both of my hands intertwined it with his. "I'm sorry I haven't gotten you anything-"

He cut me off by planting a long kiss on my lips. Immediately, I kissed back. I felt myself pulling him in closer to deepen it, but I ended up pulling away first.

"It doesn't matter." he panted. "I've been thinking about it for a while.. but I think it's true."

"What is it?"

"Suyung." he said it whenever he was serious; "I love you."

"Taehyung." I pursed my lips. "You aren't sure-"

"No." he said right away. "Whenever I see you, my heart.. feels so light and I feel like everything's going to be okay.. I trust you and your presence comforts me. I just want to hug you and protect you and make you happy."

He pulled a necklace from his pocket. "And this is something special.. this is one of the things my mother left for me. She said to give it to that one person you know you'll love forever."

I was out of words.

"Taehyung, no." I blushed and waved my hands in front of me and pushing it back to him. "Keep it, please. It's the only remembrance you have of your mother."

"It's not." he said. "For years, I've been silent about what I actually felt and kept them to myself. I had to learn it the hard way when my parents got separated. All I could do was watch. I want you to know how much I'm fond of you."

"Okay.." I said. I didn't want to take the necklace. But he sounded so genuine. He giggled like a little kid and motioned me to turn around, which I did, placing my hair on one side. Once he was done attaching it, he smiled.

"It looks good on you!" he beamed.

I looked down and scooped the pendant in my hands. It was an emerald pendant, shaped like a teardrop. I saw my reflection on it, which gave it more proof of it's importance.

"I'll treasure it." I reassured, making him smile wider. "And I wish I could spend more time with you." I said softly. "But my dad only gave me a bit time."

"Ahjussi?" his eyes widened, and he grinned. "Does that mean he said yes?"

I nodded. "Yeah."

He started celebrating and held both of my hands, looking at me with bright eyes and a beautiful smile. "Yuna, I already got 3 yeses!"

I laughed softly, "You do."

"It doesn't matter if we only have a few minutes," he soothes. "I'm already really happy."

"I can tell."

"Come on, let me walk you home." he said, letting go of one of my hands and pulling me with the other.

"Aish, don't worry." I said. "I'll go home safely."

"But-"

"I can take care of myself." I pressed. "I'll be fine."

He sighed and nodded, before pulling me in for a hug. He planted a kiss on my forehead. "Alright. Text me once you get home. I won't go to sleep until I receive your message!"

I chuckled and nodded, before waving goodbye.

As I walked down the streets, I couldn't help but be disturbed by the lack of people. Was it just me, or was this getting unusual?

But maybe because it was winter. Nobody wanted to be out in the cold, especially at night. And boy, do I regret it, too.

As I turned to a street, I felt someone clasp a hand on my mouth and pull me under the bridge.

He pushed me against the wall and pressed his elbow on my throat, pointing a gun on the side of my head.

Luckily, there were streetlights, and I could see the man's face very well. Unfortunately, I haven't seen him before. But I assumed..

He was the guy.

"Don't move." he threatened. "If you  want any of your loved ones to live, give me your phone. Now."

---

This chapter a variety of feelings.

More #TAESUNG. (What 'No kisses today' are you talking about, Taehyung? XD)

Jungkook's still hospitalised.

Her dad said yes.

And of course, the last part.

Honestly, telling Suyung to 'not move' is like telling her to move. HAHA.

She's dealt with this before, though. But the guy has a gun. And she's alone.

Also, she's not going to be a damsel in distress cause we all know she's a hero for herself. HAHA. What do you expect to happen next chapter?
