The next day, Ezra got some new materials together. Including leather, buckles, needle and thread.
He cut out the shape and began sowing.
Attaching the metal strips to the brown leather he made the adjustments.
Under half an hour, Ezra finished his work.
With a smile he went to the cove.
Ezra held up the saddle to Toothless. The dragon crouched playfully before running.
"Hey!" Ezra yelled tearing after the excited dragon.
Once it was attached to the dragon's back, he grabbed the rope he'd brought with him. Tying it to the fin, he mounted the Night Fury.
Toothless flapped into the air after a reasurring pat from Ezra.
They soared across the stream.
Toothless almost seemed bored at the pace they were going.
Ezra pulled the rope and was jerked from the saddle.
The two friends plunged into the water.
They swam back to shore, Ezra shivering slightly. The water was freezing.
"I'll work on it Toothless" he promised.
Ezra was true to his word. The next day he came back with a solution.
He had a cord that attached to the saddle and his belt.
He put it on Toothless and got on.
Tying the rope to his foot, he opened the fin.
He decided to go beyond the cove and the two soared across the fields of Yavin.
Ezra accidentally pulled the wrong direction and Toothless was forced to the ground.
Ezra stumbled round in the long grass. Trying to find his dragon.
He heard a purring noise and went in the direction of it.
Toothless was rolling around in the grass. Clearly having the time of his life.
Ezra smiled as he picked some of the stems.
He'd have to remember this.
