Tris's^^^^^

Susan's^^^^^

"There I'm done," Susan says setting down the makeup brush. She just finished my makeup for prom, she did hers first. She also did my hair as well as her own. She's really good at this beauty stuff.

"It looks awesome Susan," I smile and give her a hug. "They guys should be ready soon, Four said he'd be here in five minutes."

"Awesome," she cheers and slips on her heels, "I'm so excited!"

"I'm not excited for pictures," I tell her and she rolls her eyes.

"It won't take long," she tells me, "plus you'll be with Caleb and I most of the time. You'll only have to deal with Christina for a short time."

"When we get to the dance we aren't staying anywhere near her," I say before I open the door, "Four said he was here."

"Awesome let's go!" Susan exclaims as she follows me downstairs. Mom said they'd waist in the front yard so Susan and I walk to the front door. "Caleb better be wearing what I told him to."

We open the door and Tobias smiles when he sees me. He's wearing a black tux, a white button up, and the red tie I got him. I walk over to him and he kisses my cheeks. "You look beautiful," he smiles before he takes my hand. "Red is my new favorite color, maybe behind a blue grey." He smirks and I know he's talking about my eyes. I feel my face heat up and barely even hear my mom tell us to put the corsage and boutonniere. Tobias takes the red rose corsage and puts it around my wrist before I pin the red boutonnière to his tux. Mom was taking a load of pictures, along with Susan's Mom.

"You look great," I tell Tobias and he smiles.

"I'm glad I asked you," he says, "if I didn't my date would get pretty jealous of you. I don't know how guys will be able to keep their eyes off you."

"You guys ready for pictures?" Mom asks and I turn to face her, Susan's parents and mine make their way to my parents car. Caleb rented a nice black car for him and Susan, Susan loved that type of car. Tobias is taking me in his Lincoln.

"The park right?" He asks and I nod, "we had a nice date there."

"One of the best," I smile as he opens my door. I get in, careful with my dress. He shuts the door behind me once I'm in before he goes to the drivers side. Once he's in he starts the car and pulls down the street. He right hand grabs my left and he intertwines our fingers. "Tobias?" I ask and he glances over at me while he hums. "What exactly are we?"

He seems a bit taken back but answers, "well whatever you want us to be. If you want to be my girlfriend, then please be it. If not, we can stay friends."

"I mean," I mutter and my cheeks heat up, "I'd like to be you're girlfriend, of course I would-"

"Then Beatrice Prior," he says, smirking a little, "will you be my girlfriend?"

"Yes," I smile and lean over to kiss his cheek.

"Hey!" He jokes, "no distracting the driver."

"Just drive," I laugh and we continue to the park.

The first half of pictures were fun. I took a few with Susan, then with Caleb, then with both, after that it was Tobias and plus Susan and Caleb. After a while Tobias and I took pictures together. Half the pictures weren't us smiling. He kept saying that he doesn't smile for pictures. After convincing him that he does, he smiled. I made sure to check that Tobias was smiling in at least one of the group photos, he was thankfully. My mom also got pictures of the two of us not ready. Most of them are the both of us laughing at each other, it was cute. Tobias finally said that we had to go take pictures with his friends, we set our pictures before. They wanted their pictures by some old buildings towards the heart of the city. So Tobias drove the both of us there, since I wasn't too keen on some of his friends I chose the music and he didn't get to choose.

I didn't talk much at the pictures. Christina, Lynn, and Marlene didn't want me in their girls picture because we weren't that close. Shauna said she'd take pictures with me after. She did and I was happy that she thought of me as a friend. Uriah and Zeke wanted pictures with me, Marlene wasn't too happy. She also doesn't like that he calls me Kitty, but I don't have much of a choice. I took another picture with all the guys, Zeke and Uriah stood next to me. Tobias was next to Zeke and Will next to Uriah. Lynn doesn't have a date, Christina forced her to come.

"You two coming to dinner with us?" Will asks and I look up at Tobias, who is already looking at me.

"It doesn't matter," I tell Tobias, "I know you want to."

"It's not all about me pumpkin," he says and wraps his arm around my waist. I roll my eyes and tell Will we are coming with them. "We could've gone somewhere else."

"It's fine," I shrug, "besides I don't have to talk to them."

"Then lets go," Tobias says kissing he top of my head.

We ended up going to this really fancy Italian place. I got chicken Alfredo, which was amazing, along with a salad. Tobias just got spaghetti and meatballs, with a breadstick. Tobias and I sat at the end of the table with Shauna next to me and Zeke by Tobias. Next to them was Marlene and Uriah, then Christina and Will. Lynn sat at the end. Tobias kept his hand holding mine on top of the table the whole time.

"Are we heading out now?" I ask him as he stands up, me following.

"Yeah," he says, "I just figured because we were both done we could head out now."

"That's fine with me," I tell him and we walk out the doors, "plus I could use a break from your friends. Just it being us two."

"I'm completely fine with that," he says kissing the top of my head.

We get in his car and he faces me once it is started. He quickly pecks my lips before we head to the Hancock building, which many people had called the hub. I'm not sure how we are exactly having a prom here but I don't want to think about it to much. We park in a parking deck before we walk inside. There are already a lot of others there, many dancing, some sitting, the others are making out against the wall.

"What would you like to do," he asks wrapping his arm around my waist, "we can dance or sit. We could join the couples over there." Over course he was motioning to the people making out. I roll my eyes.

"We can dance for a little," I tell him and lead him to the dance floor. It is full of teenagers "dancing". Most are grinding on their dates, the others are just jumping around. I'll stick with the jumping group. We both laugh as we dance and make fools of ourselves.

"Four," Lauren smiles as we head to a table, "you didn't tell me we were meeting here."

"Lauren you aren't my date," he tells her whole rolling his eyes, "I'm here with Tris."

She laughs but stops when she realizes Tobias isn't. "Wait seriously?" She asks and Tobias nods, "that's a fucking joke, you'd chose a stiff over me?"

"Any day," he replies, pulling me closer. "Especially when she is my girlfriend," Tobias smirks, "so please go find Eric or Peter."

We walk past her and to a table. I giggle once we sit down before I lean back, "this is awesome." Tobias nods in agreement before he grabs my hands, "next song we are dancing is a slow song. My feet can't do jumping in heels."

"We'll wait then," he smiles and leans down to kiss me. It is slow and sweet, different then most of our kisses. After a minute he pulls away and looks like he is going to say something but stops.

"What?" I ask him, "you can tell me whatever you need to."

"It's about college," he says trying to hide a smile, "I talked to Dauntless University saying I was going to stick with baseball. Their football coach understood but said I was a great player. Then a few days ago their baseball coach called me, offering me a spot full ride."

"Really?" I smile and hug him, "that is awesome! The newest Dauntless University member."

"Have you thought about college?" He asks me and I nod.

"I looked first for what majors they have," I tell him," they have a really good teaching program so I was pretty much hoping on Divergent University. Amar and the Divergent track coach talked to me and I got offered a full ride."

"That's amazing pumpkin," he smiles and pecks my lips, "Dauntless University is only twenty minutes away from Divergent."

"I said it wasn't going to be the same college," I joke and he smiles at me.

"Maybe I'll just take up Divergent's offer," he jokes back before kissing the top of my head.
