Chapter Three

- MIDAS -
It had been way to long since I had felt like myself but finally things were looking up. I sat with my hands clutched behind my head and my feet propped up on my desk. The sound muffled music and the feeling of bass through the ground was what I had become used to. When I first got to Landing Valley I felt lost and unsure of what to do. I couldn't believe that I had to leave my home but it was the only option that I had.
Adlyn was like a nightmare that I couldn't get away from and she had ruined everything. My plans had all come unraveled in just a short time and I was left with shit. My wife and daughter had run off and then I find out Janeer is back. I knew that I should have killed that scum when I had the chance too but I wanted him to suffer. Now he and Farah were having some kind of twisted reunion and it pissed me off. And Julius my good for nothing son couldn't handle anything while I was gone.
I was sure that he was going to destroy the Black Pegasus name and city somehow. And I couldn't do anything about it unless I wanted the elders to try and come for me. So here I was sitting in my office of my strip club named the Midas touch. I never knew how many desperate people strolled into a strip club but their never seem to be an end to them. My ladies were special all women who had chosen to become demons.
One of my girls would take a guy to the red room and they would be plastered. Before they knew it they were talking about their deepest desires and what they wanted most. And then it was a matter of time before the ladies had them forking over their soul. The souls were just rolling in day by day and I was feeling that same fire I felt back when I first started my clan.
I knew it would take some time but I would rebuild another clan and then go after Adlyn. It was my plan to make sure that she suffered in every way possible. I would start by slicing Janeer's neck right in front of her and Farah. The thought of it made me giddy with excitement and I would kick my son ass off the throne. He had proved he didn't deserve that or my respect and I would let him know it the moment I returned.
Even though I was now in the human world Landing Valley was filled with demons. And rumors and news from the underworld spread around fast so I still was in the loop. With the whole "slave camp" crap I couldn't risk being around. All of us that decided to open these camps took an oath of silence that we wouldn't speak of the others if caught. But no one of us could have predicted the camps would be taken down one by one.
But the fools didn't seem that have all their information because they were starting their trail. They had no clue of the other five camps out there and that was perfect. It would only be matter time before I could get that up and running again. I had new plans and goals and I wouldn't let anyone get in my way and if they tried to they wouldn't be around for long.
The office door swung open and in walked Bonra a beautiful demon with silver hair and beautiful peach skin. She was the one that had helped me find the right ladies, she was the manager. She knew how to keep everyone in line when I wasn't around and she also always knew how to spot a girl willing to make a deal. I had found a few demon bodyguards that made sure to keep the clientele in check. But they weren't enough to consider them an army not yet but once I did I would get back what was mine.
"Tonight we are raking it in on the poles and in the red room." She squealed. She brought in two stacks of cash wrapped in rubber bands and handed it to me.
"Thanks baby keep up the good work." I winked.
She gave me a peck on the lips and sashayed out of the office and I got up to put my money in the safe. This wasn't what I thought I would be doing but I was enjoying the human world more than I thought. My visit to Clive and Justine had stopped because they up and disappeared. I was pissed but it wasn't worth my time to find them. For a month I made Clive work to find me souls and he was doing a good job. He was so scared I would harm that little baby of theirs he would do anything I asked. But I got busy with the club and couldn't stop in and he used that to his advantage.
I was pissed off that I lost one of my best little lackeys but there were always more. It wasn't hard in this human world to find people willing to make deals. My biggest deal that I had gotten just recently was the mayor of Landing Valley. It was a matter of time before the entire place would be hell on earth and I couldn't wait.
- DAYA -
Jalira and I continued down the long dark hall and as we got close to the end of it we came to a large gate. It blocked off the end of the hallway and you could see a large lock on the other side of it.
"All the other ladies are in here." She said as we rounded the corner right by the gate.
We walked into a small room that hard a large black couch in the center of the room and a fireplace. Beside that there was nothing else in the room and the large windows had bars on them just like the one in the halls. Four other women sat on the couch they were all talking and froze up when we opened the door.
You could see relief on their faces as they realized it was just us and no one else.
"Everyone this is Daya." Jalira explained.
"This is Xantara, Gila, Prina, and Lona." She added pointing to each of the women.
"This is the first time we have all been in the same room since we got here." Xantara shivered.
"Yeah they are moving us for some reason." Lona uttered.
I couldn't believe that I was here I was in shock as I stood and listened to the woman talk. They each explained how they got taken and it was similar. A murder happened in there city and a body was found with candle under it. While the murder was being investigated each one of us was in the wrong place and got taken.
"We have to get out of here." I blurted out.
They all turned to look at me with wide eyes. "Get out of here? We don't even know were here is? Prina cried.
"I know that I can fight and I don't plan to be trapped in another room again for the gods know how long. I refuse to let this be my life to let everything just end here. We have no idea what they have planned for us and I damn well don't want to find out." I bit out.
"Daya is right we might only have one chance to get out of this." Jalira agreed.
"I'm a seer I use my orbs to see things and read people futures. I can't use them to fight." Gila said softly.
"I'm a seer as well and I learned that our powers can be used to fight. I didn't think it could and I let it make me feel like I was weak. I went through a lot to learn about what my powers can do and I can tell you and show how to fight with them." I encouraged.
"I'm a seer too." Jalira replied in shock.
"I am too."Xantara chimed in.
Each one of us realized we all had the same gifts that for whatever reason they meant to kidnap seers. I felt a weird chill down my spine as thought about what they could want with us. I didn't want to be used and I there was no way I would let that happen. I would die before I would let someone use my powers for their own gain.
"We need to come up with a plan we can't just all do whatever. We don't know when they are going to come for us and what is going to happen when they do." Lona spoke up.
"Yeah but we shouldn't try anything up here. The bars in the hall could be all around this place and we don't want to escape just to get trapped and caught again." Jalira responded.
"So will wait till we get outside and then we will put whatever plan we come with into action. But first I want to show you how easy it is to use your orbs as a weapon." I replied.
I placed my hands in front of me and imagined my orb in my mind and sure enough a black orb appeared.
"Now you don't want to think about reading anything you just want to orb to stay as it is." I added
I then thought of the orb moving at a slow speed away from me and letting it swirl around the room. The girls were in shock and it made me feel good that my hard work had paid off. I had let wanting power consume me almost to the point where I almost lost myself. And when I started to realize how misguided I was I ended up here. I knew that this was the time to trust in the powers I was given and my own strength and somehow get out of all this.
