“Immature”
Your insult collides
With my fragile inside
No venom like your words
No tragedy like my mind
“Only kids cry”
The tears threaten to escape
From the dam I've tried to build
Your eyes twinkle with content
There's not a trace of guilt
“You're a coward”
Perhaps I am, but you've got no rights
To judge me, push me, break me.
Your world of adults
Thrives on the basis of lies
My innocence lies intact
It won't break under your guise
I'm in no hurry to grow up
Immature as I may be
I won't fall for your foolish tricks
Being an adult isn't a prize
But being surely human is.
