Chapter 10//A trip down memory lane

I woke up extra early today so I can be first in the shower. I blow dried my hair and curled it, I decided to wear denim shorts with a black crop top that says "Supreme".
Then everyone else started to wake up.
"Hey are you going to school today" Kayla said with a yawn
"I wanna say no but I have to go" I say
"What are we gunna do then" Darla said
"Idk just hang tight till I come back" I say
School was normal and great until I saw the blonde which I found out that her name was Kate. After cheer practice I went straight home.
I saw Kayla Darla and Madi sitting down. When I went upstairs to my room I saw all these photos from New York including the pictures of me and jake my ex boyfriend, but like I said me and jake were still friends after the breakup so I didn't mind the photos of us. I saw this one photo of him holding my hand while looking into my eyes, that was one of my favorite photos. Me and jake broke up because we didn't really have much  in common.
"Kayla and Darla said you were still really good friends with jake so I put some photos up" Madi said
"Yeah we are still really good friends" I said, I actually think Madi might not be so bad after all
"Thank you, Madi" I said with a small smile
"No problem" she said.
I was looking at the wall where she hung up the photos of me Kayla and Darla and some of jake. I loved the wall so much, it reminded me of all the memories me, Kayla, Darla, and Jake made.
"Can we go get some food" Kayla asked whining
"Sure" I said with a small laugh
We went to in-n-out.
As we were walking out of the car Grayson pulled me to the side and said
"Nikki are you available for Saturday" he said
"Yeah of course" I said
"Okay good see you at 7:00 pm" he said with a huge smile
When we arrived back home I decided to put the photo of jake holding my hand while looking at my eyes in to a picture frame. Jake was always there for me even after we broke up he is my best friend.
While everyone was sleeping I decided to text Jake and see how he was doing
Me: hey Jake
Jake: hey Nikki how's it been
Me: great what about you
Jake: good
Me: I heard your with someone else
Jake: look Nikki I'm sorry
Me: jake  im not mad I thought we both agreed that we broke up cuz we don't have much in common
Jake: your right
Me: after all you are still my best guy friend
Jake: of course Nicole Rose Rivers
Me: alright well text you tomorrow Jake Allen
Jake: bye
I decided to sleep since I was hella tired.
