The Rise of Chapter Twenty One

Jack took a deep breath and started talking. He knew Elsa would listen to his every word so whether he liked it or not, he had no choice.
"Eliora and I," Jack started. "Met when she moved to our village. My sister was big fan of her so...well, wherever my sister went, I followed. You could say that I got to know her whenever my sister hung out at their house along with the other children. Over the time we spent together, Eliora and I grew close. Well, close enough to meet up without the children."
Jack felt Elsa wince faintly. When he glanced at her direction, he knew she was being hurt in hearing this things.
"Do you want me to- to continue?" Jack asked her. She nodded.
"We- Well, we met up and got the status of what you would say 'in a relationship' nowadays. Of course I knew her as a fragile lady who adores winter and children. She had a very impressive facade. We never guessed her true colors, even after her episodes."
"Episodes?" Elsa perked up, hearing something not about Jack and Eliora's relationship.
"Uh, yeah." Jack replied, scratching the back of his head. He laid down on his back and closed his eyes, concentrating. "She had these...moments...in winter whenever there was a full moon and she would...throw tantrums in her house. Now that I look back on it, she would always go on top of the hill at midnight whenever there was a full moon. And when the moonlight was clear, she would just stand there and...do nothing."
"I don't want to be rude," Elsa whispered. "But I think that the idea of Eliora standing under moonlight seems so gentle that I believe you only made that up to throw me off."
Jack hadn't meant crack up but he did. "But I didn't!" Jack protested, smiling. "It's the truth!"
Elsa pulled her knees to her chest and rested her chin on her knees. Jack thought that she looked so...tranquil. How could Jack tell her that her sister's in Eliroa's hands?
"So that's all you have to say?" Elsa asked, tilting her head to Jack's side. "I thought it would be long since you said so."
"Well, in my head it sounded long."
"Not much of a defense, Jack," Elsa smirked and poked him playfully.
"Well, sue me." Jack sat upand rested his arm on his folded knee. His gaze unvoluntarily fell on Elsa. "Elsa..."
"Hm?"
"Tell me more about yourself." Jack said without warning.
Elsa felt herself blush for no reason. It it the face Jack made? Or the realization that they're all alone on this roof?
"What's um...to tell?" She managed to whisper.
Jack smiled and whispered, "Everything."
"I don't have much of a choice, do I?" Elsa sighed. A moment of silence passed and Elsa said nothing.
"Well?" Jack sprawled on his stomach and stretched. "Elsaaaa...."
"Don't judge me," Elsa muttered. "I'm not good in telling stories. So...." Elsa faced Jack and smiled widely. "You ask me."
Jack glanced at Elsa and sighed. "You're hopeless."
"I know that already," Elsa looked at the other way. "So don't remind me."
Jack gave Elsa a sloppy grin and sat up. "Okay, First things first....how old are you?"
"I'm twenty-one."
"Hmm, any friends?"
"None."
"Boyfriends?"
"Non-, Wait, why are you even asking me this kind of stuff?"
Jack chuckled and continued. "How about Anna?"
"What about her?"
"For starters, your relationship. Are you close?" Jack saw Elsa's eyes tearing up. It seems he had hit a nerve. "You okay?"
"I'm fine," Elsa wiped her eyes. "Yes, Anna and I...were close. Up until the accident I caused."
"Accident?"
"Yeah, when we were children, Anna and I used to play all the time in the Great Hall. At that time, she knew I had powers. One night, when we were playing, I accidentally hit her head." Elsa hid her face and started sobbing. "After that....our parents took us to the trolls out in the forest. The head troll suggested to remove Anna's memory of me having powers to save her. Because of that, up until the coronation, Anna and I never interacted even once. I guess she always wondered why I suddenly pushed her away."
"You kept your distance because she didn't have any memories? Or is it because you couldn't control your powers?"
"I don't know," Elsa admitted. "I always thought that if I shut her out, I would be keeping her safe."
"But weren't you alone then? Especially after your parents died?"
"It's okay if I'm alone, as long as my sister is safe."
A moment of silence passed and Jack remembered his own sister. He had saved her from death by the price of dying himself. Because of that, he was ressurected and spent 300 years alone.
"Do you know why you have powers?" Jack asked out of the blue.
Elsa's face softened. "No, I don't. My parents said nothing either."
"Are you sure? No peculiar something?"
"Well," Elsa pondered for a moment then snapped her fingers. "I heard my parents talking about it one night when I was five, after the incident with...Anna. I heard that when I was about to be born, It was a full moon and in winter. The moon that night was especially bright. So bright that it illuminated my room. As soon as I lied down on my crib by my mother's arms, the crib froze all over."
"Wow," Jack murmured. "You were powerful even as a baby. So you mean to say that you were born under a full moon and when you were born, your room was illuminated by moonlight?"
"Why, what's wrong with it?"
"Nothing," Jack quickly replied. "I just think that Man in Moon has something to do with your powers. Eliora mentioned that we both have an orb, right? She also mentioned that there's a strong possibility that what was formerly hers is yours now."
"You're saying that I'm the one she's after all this time?"
Jack nodded. Now, he could only watch as Elsa stared anxiously at the moon. "Don't sweat it, alright?" Jack reassured Elsa. "I'm sure there's something we're missing in this mystery."
"I hope you're right, Jack."
A few moments later, Jack and Elsa heard sounds of bells ringing.
"Bells?" Elsa asked, looking around. "Why are there bells in the middle of the night?"
Jack smiled giddily stood up. "It just means one thing, Elsa." Jack did a backflip in the air and started flying around. Elsa also stood up and watched Jack fly around. "It's christmas!"
"Christmas?"
"Oh right, you don't have any guardians in Arendelle right?" Jack returned to Elsa's side. "Christmas is a day where everyone gives presents to one another. It's held once a year so it's very special. That's the reason why North is out right now because he's delivering prrsents to every child out there."
Elsa pursed her lips and asked in a small voice. "Well, I do like presents..."
Jack laughed, making Elsa blush. "Don't judge me..."
"Would you like a present then, Elsa?"
Elsa's face lit up. "You have one for me?" But then, Elsa scoffed. "No. You're joking."
Without warning, Jack kissed Elsa tenderly. Elsa was shocked but she didn't fight him. Jack broke away and rested his forehead with hers. "I love you, Elsa. Merry christmas."
Jack smiled at Elsa's tomato red face. "Since I also don't have a present for you," Elsa pecked Jack's lips, taking him by surprise. "That's it. Merry christmas to you too."
Jack laughed and slung his arm over her shoulder, pulling her closer to him. "What, no I love you? You're hurting me here, Elsa."
Jack can feel Elsa's face heating up, making him chuckle. "Yeah, I'll be waiting for that I love you, Elsa. For now, let's go back."
Jack stood up and offered a hand to Elsa, which she shyly accepted. Together, they returned to Elsa's room. Jack hadn't noticed but Elsa was so tired that she fell as soon as she hit her bed.
Jack chuckled as he fixed Elsa's position. Unintentionally, his gaze rested on her face. Jack didn't mention it but that was Jack's first kiss.
Jack laid down next to her and watched Elsa's sleeping face. He kissed her cheek and muttered,
"I really love you, Elsa. No joke there."

It's fixed! It's fixed! I'm so happy!
Anyway, so much happened these past week. For one thing, I watched Diary ng Panget! (For Pinoys) Ang galing talaga ni Haveyouseenthisgirl. Bilib na talaga ako.
For Fans of Moffat's Sherlock, There's a marathon starting today (It's Saturday). Watch it on Axn, 2 pm.
Oh, yeah, People, who of you knows Vocaloid? I'm currently obsessing over Honeywork's work right now. Especially Confession rehearsal!
The summer camp a few days away so I'll do my best to make a cliffhanger for you. Count on it! [Auvi, kung binabasa mo ito, maghanda ka! *Evil laugh*]
