The lights were off and the windows were closed.
"Are we hiding from the cops or something?" I jokingly asked.
He looked the door and had a straight face.
I frowned. I don't know what's going on. I expected him to laugh.
I turned on the light.
"Let's go to the living room."
"Okay."
Luke walked behind me.
I turned on the lights.
"SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!"

I see Dad, Mom, Daxton in Mom's arms, Brock, Avia, Emmi, Gavin, Grandma, Grandpa, Carlie, Steve, Cooper, Uncle Logan, Uncle Casey, Kayli, Brailee, Gage. The whole family. OMG WHAT DEBBY'S HERE?!! #-_-
I turned to Luke. "You.. planned this?" I asked him quietly.
"Well yeah. You needed to get along with your family."
I looked back at the family... and Debby.
They were all grinning, waiting for me to say something. Especially Dad and his camera.
My emotions are going crazy. Am I happy that they planned a surprise party for me? Angry 'cause Luke betrayed me? Sad because these people aren't my real family?
I started to get dizzy. I put my hand on my forehead. It was warm.
I lost my balance and fainted.

I woke up and I looked around. I recognize this room. This was Mom and Dad's room. I sat up. I looked around.
What the hail?!?!!!
Debby was behind the curtains staring at me. She must've watched me sleep.
"Debby.. Please."
"O-okay! I'll leave now. Sorry about that."
She giggled while running out.
She's crazy..
I walked to the bathroom and splashed my face with water.
I walked out letting the water drip from my chin.
I walked down the stairs thinking everyone left.
Guess what? They didn't.
I looked like a mess. My sleepy eyes, messy hair, water on my face.
My eyes widened.
"HEYYY! Jewel's up!" Yelled Grandma!
I frustratedly stomped to the couch and sat with arms crossed, a leg over another leg, with a pouty face.
I'm still mad at Luke.
Dad came without the camera and told me to have a private conversation in the washroom.
I went in and he closed the door.
I leaned on the wall.
"What?"
"What? You should know. You are acting all rude. You shouldn't act like that in front of our relatives."
"Really? My relatives. Yeah well we are not related. Because I'm ADOPTED."
"You should be happy that Luke planned a surprise party."
I frowned.
"I'm very sorry that we didn't tell you when you were younger. I mean you are older now. But at least you should be grateful that you have a family now. That's nice, fun, and PDeffin'P!!!"
I smiled. I guess I am.
"I see that smile. Am I forgiven?"
"You are forgiven."
I fixed my hair in the mirror.
Dad grinned. "Give me a hug." He put his arms out.

"Um... No. I'm fine." I quickly frowned and gave him the "talk to the hand" hand position.
I walked to the bathroom door.
"Aww." He slowly put his arms down.
I turned back and gave him a one arm hug for like 2 seconds.
I quickly opened the door and walked out.
I could tell Dad was smiling.
Dad talked to all the relatives that it was okay between me and him.
We all spent time together. We played games and talked.
Then the lights went out.
"OMG what's going on? Is there lightning?!"
My family didn't say anything.
Are they possessed by a demon or something? They had smiles on their faces.
:(( I'm scared.
I covered my eyes with my hands.
I started praying in my head.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU"
I looked up and everyone was singing.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!"
I saw the candle's light.
Dad brought in the cake with the candles and Mom walked by him holding the camera.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR JEWEL!"
Dad placed the cake on the table.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!"
Everyone clapped and cheered.
"Make a wish!" Said Uncle Casey.
I closed my eyes.
"I wish for a-"
I wish for a chocolate hazelnut flavoured macaroon.
I blew out the candles.
I'm 16 years old!!!!
Everyone clapped.
The cake said "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JEWEL!"
With blue diamonds, emeralds, and rubies as the border and beside the font was Squirtle!!! With shades and a diamond ring.
I love Squirtle! I love Pokemon's first season!!!
The cake was vanilla and strawberry.
It was so yummy!!!!
I asked Luke if he invited Debby.
He shook his head with big eyes. "No." He bit his lip. "Um.. I didn't really.. Invite her. She came by herself."
After cake, the whole family watched the first season of Pokemon. I love the first episode!! *-* the best show ever!!!
Debby laughed so hard at the parts that weren't funny. People just stared at her.
Like one time when Pikachu was weakened and had no energy, she started laughing so hard.
We stared at her.
"You don't get it? HAHAHHA!! Wait, rewind it so I can record this and send it to my friends!!! HAHAHA!!"
We only rewinded it two times but after that we said no.
Later the show, the family left (and Debby), we hugged and I thanked them for coming.
After they left, I felt happy. I hugged my parents and I said, "I had fun today... and also I'm lucky to have you both to be my parents. I love you."
"We love you too." said both of them.
They kissed my forehead,
I went to my brothers and sisters and said "I love you." They said it back, except Daxton who only smiled and laughed.
I changed into my pajamas. And lied on my bed with the lights off.
