Asher pov
"Asher we're-" I heard someone disturb my sleep and I opened my eyes to see Cora and ross standing at the door with their jaws practically to the floor
"what?" I asked them
"I-it's just you......do you know there's a girl in your arms" Ross said and I looked down at Emma who was cuddled up in my arms. she told me that my cold is a different type of cold almost warm apparently
"I'm aware" I yawned rubbing my eyes
"what's going on?" Emma stirred awake
"training" I said sitting up
"this early" she asked looking at the time
"pups need exercise" I shrugged before standing up
"if you want to stay in-" Cora started
"its fine" I told them about to walk out but ross stopped me
'it's really ok Asher we'll take care of the group today we'll even run faster and longer in human form. you can stay' he said smiling
'come on just look at her' Cora said and I turned around to see a barley awake Emma. she been pampered too much
"......alright" I said with a sigh
"don't worry us pups will be fine" Cora happily before walking out with ross. Ever since I told them that I say it with pride they've been calling themselves pups more often
"you're not going?" Emma asked with a yawn
"seems that they noticed a certain someone could barely get up"
"its nine am" she exclaimed
"normal time for walks" I shrugged and she sighed
"what happened to the Asher that loved sleep" she asked pouting
"he does it later" I said walking out the room
"where are you going?" she asked following me out
"hungry" I told her and kept walking, but while I did I noticed something
"if you want to do something do it" I told her and she finally took my hand
"I know but it's sometimes hard to know if its ok" she mumbled
"does it feel wrong?" I asked
"no" she answered a small smile on her lips
"then its ok"
when we got to the dining area I saw that most of the kids who weren't old enough to train had stayed back along with some of the mothers and older members who were too old to go our running
"s-so this is your pack?" Emma said inching closer to me
"problem?" I asked
"they're all staring?" she said and I noticed that she was right, mostly the kids while the mothers and elders tried sneaking in looks like it wasn't noticeable
"let them" I shrugged not seeing the big deal and getting food before we both sat down at a table and ate
"this place really is nice though" Emma said looking around
"they seem to like it" I shrugged
"what about you?" she asked
"it's nice" I told her and she smiled for some reason happy with my answer
"Asher" a little girl called walking up from the table
"what?" I asked
"who's she?" the little girl asked
"my names Emma" she introduced herself
"oh...... Asher" the girl asked again
"Mmmm?" I asked.
"are you in love with her?" she asked
"yes, why?" I asked her while Emma's heart sped up
"Janice was going to ask you to marry her" she announced
"no I wasn't" a little girl shouted from across the room and I count help but smile
"someone beat her to it" I told her
"really?" Emma stressed
"is it a lie" I asked her
"n-no but still......" she said blushing a little
"does that mean Emma is going to be luna?" the little girl asked and I rubbed her head
"you talk a lot, go eat" I told her
"I don't talk that much" she pouted but went away
"well...... their cute" Emma said
"Mhm" I told her before eating. she said that she loved me, but I still remember her saying she also loved the wolf. after what happened yesterday I know she wants to stay with me. but can she reject the person who supposed to be her true love?
when we finally done eating I decided to give Emma a tour of the pack house and she seemed impressed with everything that we had especially when she saw the theater room. when we were done with that I let her borrow some clothes from my room since she complained about wanting to change
"I don't look dumb do I?" she asked coming out of the bathroom. I know that I'm a little tall and muscular but the fact that she had to make the gym shorts impossibly tight to wear and that my shirt looked like it was more of a night gown on her made me laugh a little
"really?" she groaned
"you look......ridiculous" I admitted there was no other words for it
"then get me some normal clothes" she exclaimed
"no" I said walking to the elevator
"what do you mean no" she exclaimed
"no" I repeated
"I can't go out like this" she said lifting her arms and showing how big the shirt was
"you've done worse" I reminded her of the times she came to school in her pajamas
"that's different those we my clothes" she said stopping the doors from closing
"you've worn my shorts before" I reminded her again
"b-but their gonna stare now" she told me while I took out a blow pop
"now they have a reason" I told her
"........so your trying to help me" she said finally getting in the elevator
"Mhm"
"I thought you were trying to embarrass me" she sighed Justas the doors closed behind her
"it comes as an added bonus" I admit smiling a little while pressing the button
"you jerk" she said hitting my arm
"too late now" I shrugged
Emma pov
as the numbers on the elevator counted down I felt more and more heat rush to my face. I've worn Asher's clothes in public before, but now that I love him and were in his pack house its different espically since they fit me worse now that I lost weight. I always felt people looking at us when we walked together in school and I didn't get why in Jude's pack they would sometimes glance but here they stared like they were trying to figure me out and it made me nervous
"........Asher please can you let me change" I asked him but he was only silent as we were going to reach the first floor
"you're such a jerk" I exclaimed but grabbed onto his hand as the door opened only to revel some of the pack members. they looked like they were headed for the gym but once they saw me they stopped and did the stare while I squeezed Asher's hand in embarrassment
"its only clothes" he told me
"how about I put you in a sun dress and see how you feel" I mumbled making some of the pack members who could hear chuckle a little
"the pups seem to like it" he pointed out but my heart was still racing especially when we walked into a gym full of people and they all turned to us as if they rehearsed the look
"Asher" they all said smiling at us while my face was burning red hot
"we told you that we had this" Cora said smiling at us
"I have to make sure you pups don't get lazy" he shrugged
"and what about Emma?" a guy said looking at me
"she can train with the women" he announced
"you let women train?" I asked surprised
"he let a woman be beta" Cora announced surprising me more. I thought she meant beta as in a beta couple but she was the beta
"we're all equal, we all fight" Asher shrugged and I smiled over the fact he still believed in that philosophy
"or we will once I get my hand back" he said looking down at me and I was confused till I remembered I had his hand in a death grip
"oh yeah, sorry" I said letting go of his reassuring cold
"she really is human so you'll have to go easy" Asher told Cora before leaving
"yes Asher" she said before everyone started to split up into groups of men women and children
"ok looks like you're going to be in the beginner's class" Cora announced
"great" I sighed feeling weak
"don't worry you're not alone" she told me and I was confused till she pointed to the two panting husks one was Laura while I didn't recognize the other lady
"are you alright?" I asked looking at them a little worried
"Asher is insane with training" Laura announced and I looked over to the men to see Dan and another man in their own beginners group
"that's what we all thought but it gets easier...... eventually" Cora said trying to sound reassuring
"I knew you all were faster than normal, but that was ridiculous" the women said
"wait till Asher runs with us" Cora said chuckling a bit before walking to a mat
"........before we start I have to ask" she said looking at me
"he made me wear them" I quickly defended and she looked confused
"what?" she asked
"ugh never mind, what were you gonna say?" I asked. did she not notice the clothes
"I was gonna ask what everyone else is wondering. you and Asher are you really together?" she asked smiling hopeful
"yes, why?" I asked confused
"ever since he took over there's been women after women trying to get some kind of emotion out of him, but he was never interested. I asked if what he is has mates like we do but he said no. to be honest some were starting to think he might play for the other team" she explained and I laughed along with Laura
"it was the same thing back at school" Laura told her
"girls would try and hit on him, but he'd make them faint the second they got close" I chuckled remembering all the fallen warriors
"so all this time it was cause he was with you?" Cora asked and I stopped laughing
"well........ it's a little complicated" I said not really wanting to talk about my idiocy yet
"oh alright. let's just get started then. Asher said I should go easy but not too easy" she said smiling and I felt a chill. I had a bad felling about this
"i-i can't move" I groaned laying on the ground
"I had a child and it doesn't compare to this pain" sally said trying to get up just as Cora flipped Laura again for what had to be the 40th time I heard Dan growl, but I knew he couldn't move either
"can you still go?" Cora asked panting but I knew it had nothing to do with me it as all the other too
"i-im done" Laura admitted not getting back up
"you did good" Cora chuckled trying to encourage us again, but after being tossed around worse than a pancake It wasn't helping much
"your all monsters" I groaned
"compared to Asher were normal" Cora pointed out
"you guys look like crap" Asher said after looking at us all on the ground he wasn't even panting but he at the very least have a glaze of some sweat
"did you do anything" I excused trying to at least sit up
"try looking around" Cora told me and I saw almost everyone on the ground tired and sweaty
"you did all this" sally asked looking at everything in shock. apparently today was her first day of training too
"I train my pups" he shrugged
"me and Leo just got off lucky today" Cora chuckled
"I'll just pay more attention to you two later" Asher promised
"great" she sighed
"your free for the rest of the day" Asher announced and people cheered or groaned in happiness
"I don't think I can walk" I admit to him my legs felt like they were made of jelly
"you're asking me to carry you?" he asked raising an eyebrow I was tempted to say yes till I saw some of the pack members looking at me while they were leaving
"n-no but do you have a blow pop?" I asked hopeful
"not on me" he announced
"it's the apocalypse" Laura, Cora and I said in unison
"shut up" he said while squatting down and the others laughed
"I never thought you-" I started but I was interrupted when he suddenly kissed me. it took me by surprise since I didn't think Asher was the pda type so I didn't have time to react
"better?" he asked when he pulled back
"w-what?" I asked calming down from the kiss
"can you move?" he asked and then I realized it was a healing kiss so I tested it out and I found myself standing
"the kiss of life" Laura shouted while Dan helped her up and the people who heard laughed making me blush
"I can't believe that happened" Cora laughed along with two other guys
"you don't have to laugh about it" I groaned wanting to disappear
"they're laughing at me" Asher said and I was confused no one ever laughed at Jude
"I never thought you were the pda type" a guy said smirking
"of course he is. he's the manliest of alphas" another one declared. it's not like they're working for him or anything it's almost like they're really his friends.
"but we really are happy to see you like this" Cora said patting his shoulder
"Mhm" Asher said raising an eyebrow as if to tell them that was enough and they stopped. well I guess friends gotta know boundaries
"so you can heal with kisses too?" sally asked
"it only works if I love you" he announced and everyone was quiet
"w-what?" a guy asked
"it works because I love Emma" Asher said again making me blush and smile at the same time. how he says it with no expression or trouble at all I'll never know
"l-lets go I need a shower" I said quickly trying to push him along
"alright" he shrugged and we walked away from the still awestruck wolves and even though I was already embarrassed I grabbed Asher's hand his cold would calm be down
Jude pov
she left me
my mate literally left and ran into the arms of another man.
I haven't seen her in mouths and she leaves to go with the one person who I knew was going to be a problem from the start.
I go straight to the hospital to try and tell her how much she means to me and see if we can get our relationship back on the track of when I was going to mark and turn her but she leaves me for that...... That...... he doesn't even have a fucking species and to make it worse my gamma couple helped her get to him right behind my back I thought that the fact there was a dead body bag going around rolled on the hospital floor we were on was strange but I was too focused on getting to Emma while she was only focused on getting to Asher
"Im leaving" I read the note out loud through gritted teeth in my now torn apart room I was going to charge into the territory and bring back my mate, but Simon said that they were all beaten by only three wolves and a female beta all in their half forms. My beta was beaten by a female and she's holds the same title as he does, it's like he's making a mockery of everything we stand for. Wolves were meant to be led by wolves, women aren't meant to fight and mates are supposed to be with mates but he stole mine only I'm not going to let it end like this
'get mate' my wolf kept repeating in the back of my head clawing at my mind while I looked through the contact list on my phone till I saw who I needed to talk to
"hello?"
"yes, alpha Xavier? I think we should to talk about a certain human who needs to learn his place" I said through the phone getting straight to the point
".......I'm listening" he answered and a smiled played onto my lips. once kill Asher and anything else that could stand in the way of our happiness there won't be anything else keeping up apart.
