the winter is beautiful, simple and calm.
bereft of all the chaos of summer,
these cold days are truly a charm.
the creatures of heat sleep their days off
without a care in the world
and so do my mind and my thoughts.
if summer would have been this wondrous,
it would have reminded me of you,
but i am a lover of winter skies
and i am a lover of you.
the magic you bring in with you
is the warmth of the sun on a cold morning.
sometimes you are like the snow.
never have i known it and never will i know you
to the core; to a place where there is only you.
there is always some air between us
and some words are always lost in it,
but someday i hope to paint a masterpiece that would sum us up.
maybe this affection is not meant for this world
and maybe i will always be compelled to love the summer
but the rain of your winter stays with me forever
i will forget myself, but i will never forget thee

it was the only place where i have truly been free.

i wrote this when i realised that it was no use holding onto a relationship that was never going to work out. i wrote it when i finally decided, yes, it is time to move on. i should just gather all that i have learnt from this wonderful yet strange relationship and use it to make myself someone who would be proud of how they acted and how they love.
also,,, it's kind of about how everyone is expected to love the opposite sex only. Like nah, mate. I'm not bout dat life.
