Before I had a chance to text back my phone began to ring. And I wasn't surprised when I said that it was Dinah calling
"Hello" I said as calmly as possible
"Mila what the hell are you doing?" She asked seriously
"Uh... hold on" I said into the phone
"Guys I'll be right back" I said to Lauren, Austin and Kyle
"Do you remember what you told me about getting and keeping Lauren's attention" I asked slowly as I walked away
"Uh duh!" Dinah said
"Well did you tell Lauren the same thing?"
"Nope that conversation was only ever between me and you, why?"
"Don't laugh but, I'm pretty sure I got her attention and I did like you said and attempted to keep it and I think it was working" I said
"Walz I'm not really seeing the problem here"
"It was working up until a certain point. She looked upset for like 2 seconds but then she gave me this like I dunno know wicked like smile and when we were walking to the next hole she came up behind me and said game on"
"Damn!" Dinah said laughing
"This isn't a time for laughing Dinah! I seriously need help"
"Look all you have to do is beat her at whatever game she thinks you guys are playing. Wait playing, are you playing a game Mila... I'm confused"
"What?" I asked now confused by what she was trying to say
"I don't know forget that last part. If she thinks you guys are playing some type of game play along with it and whatever she does you do it too but more exaggerated"
"I-uh okay"
"I hear doubt in your voice. Are you doubting my advice?" Dinah said in a serious but playful tone
"No but-"
"Confidence Mila!" Dinah said interrupting me "You got this girl don't stress alright"
"Okay" I said smiling at Dinah's words of encouragement

"Hold on Mom. I can't hear you... okay what'd you say" Dinah asked

"Yes I'm talking to you, now hold on " she said whispering the last part. There was a long pause before Dinah began talking again
"Holy shit I need a cup" Dinah said
"What why?" I asked
"Because this is some good tea" she said excitedly

"Okay so when you texted me I was inside of Menchies getting ice cream with Mani and Ally-"
"Frozen yogurt" I said correcting her
"The fuck!!! Frozen yogurt... Ice Cream same difference both bomb as fuck. Now back to what I was saying before you rudely interrupted me. Ahem now When I called you I went outside and sat in the passenger seat of my car because it's kinda loud inside of menchies. And when I told you to play along it was because Mani came outside talking on the phone with Lauren"
"How do you know it was Lauren?" I asked curiously
"I heard her, Mani had her on speaker, that's why I called you mom. I didn't want her knowing I was on the phone with you"
"Oh okay got it " I said
"Now I'm not going to tell you what she said but, I will tell you how to win this so called game you guys are playing"
"Really?" I asked
"Duh! You know I have to make sure my ship sails"
"Dinah" I said
"Sorry not sorry but, you know y'all are my fave otp couple besides Mani and-" Dinah said before stopping mid sentence
"Dinah, You still there?" I asked curious as to why she stopped talking
"Flaunt that ass Cabello" Dinah randomly said
"What?"
"You heard me Mila, flaunt that cuban ass of yours, work that shit like there's no tomorrow"
"I I-ya I guess" I said
"Nope don't guess you need to know Mila. I'd also say to be all over Austin but, apparently you guys are already all over each other so..."
"What no we aren't. I'm not At least. Who said that we were?"
"The jealous bloodsucker who goes by the name of Lauren" Dinah said laughing "And try not to lose your shit this time, if Lauren says something that turns you on there's no need to freak out okay cupcake"
"I wasn't turned on I-"
"Mila who do you think you're talking too? I know that whole 'game on' thing she said to you was enough to make you wet as hell, there's no need to hide it, cause I already know"
"Oh my gosh Dinah shut up" I said giving up because I knew what she was saying was right. When Lauren said those two words it was enough to make my whole body heat up
"Exactly!" She said. I didn't even have to see her to know that she was smiling on the other side of the phone. "Anyways I have to get back to Ally and Mani but if you need anymore help text me okay"
"Trust me I will, I need all the help I can get" I said shaking my head. I saw someone walking towards me from the corner of my eye and when I turned, I saw that it was Austin slowly approaching me
"Alright bye wa-"
"Wait Dinah" I shouted quickly before she could hang up
"Yea?"
"Thank you" I said in a high pitch voice
"Anytime Walz"
"Oh and Dinah"
"Yes Mila" I heard her say as she chuckled on the other end
"I know you didn't say it but, I just wanted to tell you that You and Mani are one of my otp couples too" I said quickly
"I hate you" she said
"I love you too Dinah" I said before hanging up
"What I'd give to be Dinah" Austin said stopping right in front of me "everything okay?"
"Yup it was just a minor girl crisis"
"Do girls have a lot of those"
"As many as guys do" I said shrugging my shoulders
"Ha oh... well I came to get you we just finished the last hole and we were gonna go drive the go karts" he said grabbing my left hand and pulling me along with him to the go kart area
"Good you found her, I was just about to call you" Kylie said as we approached him and Lauren "I was beginning to think you bailed on my boy Austin here"
"Uh... Nope I'm still here" I said
"Where'd you go?" Kyle asked
Lying I said "I-I needed to.... help a friendddd" I tried not to look in Lauren's direction but of course as always my eyes and mind deceived me as I looked directly at her and allowed my eyes to look her up and down. I got goosebumps when I saw that famous Lauren Jauregui smirk on her face.
"Aww Who?" Lauren asked with that smirk still plastered along her face. She knew I was lying and I could tell that she was going to make me pay
"Uhm Dinah" I said calmly
"Isn't she out with Mani and Ally?" Lauren said kinking her left eyebrow up.
'Damnit Lauren ' I thought to myself 'you had to do that sexy eyebrow thing' it's okay Mila you got this I said giving myself a mental boost of confidence. Taking a small deep breath in I bit my lip and smiled a coy smile right back at her. I saw her face falter a bit but she was quick in hiding it.
Raising my right eyebrow challengingly at her I answered "She is but, she needed my opinion on something. You know kinda like you did when You called Mani for an opinion" I said. Her facial expression changed again but this time more noticeably I continued to watch as she inhaled a really really deep breath. She continued to stare at me in which I held my gaze strongly
"Alrighty then, you guys ready to go it's our turn" Kyle said interrupting our small stare down
"Mhm" I said
"Yup" Austin said
As soon as Kyle and Lauren turned around Kyle was quick in grabbing Lauren by her waist and pulling her extremely close to him. I felt my face began to heat up a little but I tried not to let it phase me.
"Alright ladies and gentlemen my name's Daniel and I'll be helping you guys out if there are any problems. Go ahead and get in any kart accept for those two in the far left lane. When you guys get in make sure you buckle up and my pal Jared will instruct you all when to go" Daniel yelled
As we walked to our go karts Lauren and Kyle got into separate karts and I was about to get into my own when Austin put his hand on mine.
"Do you wanna ride with me?" He asked
I could feel someone staring at me and when I looked in the direction I saw that it was Lauren with a slight pissed off look on her face. Quickly smirking at her I turned my attention back towards Austin and ran my left hand up his arm and smiled at him.
"Yes" I said happily as I still felt Lauren's gaze on me. Austin walked us to the double seated kart which just so happened to be directly in front of Lauren. I knew she was getting upset so when we walked past her I made it a point to lightly brush my hand along her shoulder
"Aye Austin bro you down for a race?" Kyle yelled over the engines
"Yea man loser gets... loser gets a kiss from their girl" Austin yelled back
"WHAT?!" I heard Lauren yell out at the same time as me
"Hell yea, I'm down" Kyle yelled
"No" I said
"Don't worry it can be on the cheek" Austin said winking at me. I felt my stomach turn but not in a good way
"Alright when I say go you guys can go alright, now on my mark. Three" A young guy who I assumed to be Jared yelled
"You're going down" Austin yelled
"Two"
"Naw man, I don't think so" Kyle yelled back
"One "
"But I don't-" I began to say before being cut off by Jared
"GO!!!" Jared yelled out. My head jolted back and hit the head rest behind me as Austin quickly sped off.
Throughout the whole race Austin and I kept getting bumped into the side rails in the track. The seats were to high and wide for either of us to look behind us to see who was doing it. My question was quickly answered when I saw Lauren pass us. We were on our last lap and Kyle was in the lead with Lauren trailing close behind him. I was begging for some kind of miracle to happen. I didn't want Austin to win and I damn sure didn't want Kyle to win. I don't know what kind of miracle I was hoping for but, I really wanted one.
We were so close to the finish line when out of nowhere Lauren rammed into the side of Kyle's go kart making him hit the side rail and spin around so that he was no facing us our direction. I laughed when Kyle frustratedly threw his hands in the air and threw his head back against his seat.
I couldn't help but notice that Lauren wasn't going as fast she was a few seconds ago. She had slow down so much that we were able to catch up and past her. I felt my stomach twisting in knots as we getting closer and closer to the finish line, we were a turn away when all of a sudden we got rammed into the side rail and spun quickly around. We just so happened to spin back into the direction we were already going and I was able to see Lauren's go kart speed past us and past the finish line. We were met with Kyle slowly approaching us in his kart.
"Did you guys see that?" He asked
"Yea man she took us both out" Austin said shaking his head
"Aye Cabello is she always this competitive?" Kyle asked
"Uh... yea you can say that" I said
"Mm... I like it" Kyle said a little to excitedly for my liking. I let out a low snicker as the three of us reached the finish line at the same time. Lauren was already out of her go kart waiting for us by the time we reached her.
"About time" she said as we approached her
"I didn't know you were so competitive" Kyle said as he walked up and hugged her. To my surprise she wrapped her arms around his waist and reciprocated the hug. I felt my stomach once again turning in those knots and twist.
"Things were at stake" she said looking in my direction when they let go of each other
"What's next? Batting? Arcade? Or laser tag?" Austin asked as he wrapped his arm around my neck and pulled him into him.
"The Batting cage is closed, something about repairs. But, we could hit up the arcade and laser tag after" Kyle said taking Lauren's hand in his casually as if they've held hands before. I felt my whole body heat up and I quickly put my hands behind my back to hid my balled up fists. I'm not sure what made me more upset, the fact that he was holding her hand or the fact that she hasn't let go
"Lead the way man" Austin said.
An hour! An is how long I had to endure the agonizing view of Kyle and Lauren touching and flirting none stop with each other. The whole entire time we were inside of the arcade it felt as if I was living in a freakin' nightmare.
Im not going to pretend like I didn't get payback, I did as Dinah said and "flaunted my Cuban ass" and as annoying as it was I let Austin help me with every single game. And when she was watching I made sure to make a show of it. I could tell that I was getting under her skin and you could definitely feel the tension rising rapidly between Lauren and I.
We are now putting on our vests for laser tag and Lauren and I haven't spoken a word to each other in the past hour and a half, just ongoing glares.
"Red vest over there blue vest over here" A girl instructed
"Damn it" Austin said "Kyle switch me vests"
"Nope sorry sir but we have to get you guys going, so if the red vests could please follow me this way and the blue vests follow him" the girl said pointing to the guy in front of my line
"Listen up guys. You all have 15 minutes in here, I'm taking you guys to the blue area and the other worker is taking the red team to the red area. Obviously you guys are on two separate teams so the team with the most points win as well as their being a victor for each team. When shot your vest will turn off and the only way to get it up and going again is to get back to the blue area where the blue light will turn back on. Now all that we ask is that you don't start until you hear the buzzer, and to please be very careful as it is very dark and easy to fall. Here we are I hope you all enjoy see you in fifteen" the guys said before walking away. Soon after he left the room had gotten even darker than it was before and the buzzer went off signaling the start of the game causing everyone to scatter around.
I was jogging down to the second floor of the room when I felt my vest buzz and the blue light turn off signaling that I had gotten tagged. I was about to head back to the blue area when I felt a hand over my mouth and I was suddenly being pulled into an even darker area.
"Shoot my vest" I heard her raspy voice say
"Lauren" I said angrily "What the hell?"
"Shoot. My. Vest." She said getting closer to me
From the red light on her vest I could see the frustration on her face so I did as She said and shot her vest. And not even a second later I was being pushed up against a wall
"What the fuck do you think you're doing Camz?" She spat out angrily
"I don't know what you're talking about" I said
"Don't lie to me Camz! I'm not in the mood for games" she said with her lips so close to my neck that I could feel her warm breath on my skin
"And you think I am?" I spat out feeling a little aroused by her anger. I winced when I felt her grab my hand and pin them against the wall as she pushed up against me more
"I know you are" she said before placing a kiss on my neck
"I-I could say the ssssame about you" I stuttered out
"Oh Yea?" She asked with her lips now centimeters away from mine
"Yea" I husked out before hungrily attacking her lips.
"Don't think you've fooled me Camz" she said disconnecting our lips in which I tried to reconnect them but to my dismay she kept pulling back teasingly "I know what you're doing Camz. And I know you know that I don't like it" she said as she reached her under the vest and started rubbing circles in my stomach
"You sure you're not just jealous?" I challenged as I turned us around so that I now had her pinned up on the wall
"Mm" she groaned when she hit the wall. I once again trap her lips with mine before bitting down roughly on her bottom lip and pulling it earning a very raspy moan
"Fuck Camz" she said when I let it go
