At the evening of the incident, nobody was able to sleep well, especially Natsu. He was watching over Lucy's fragile body as she rested.
The next day, the other families had come to visit, even Rakheid. When he found out about the attempted killing of his sister, he couldn't believe it. He was grateful that the universe had spared her life. She was truly an angel.

Fernandes, Eucliffe, and Vastia sat on the black leather couch in Natsu's office. After they received the summon, they did not waste time and arrived to Dragneel compound.
The three of them had their attention on Natsu who was standing in front of his desk, leaning on it as he rubbed the sides of his jaws with his hand.
"What did Wendy say?" Jellal started, making Natsu look at them.
"She will be fine." Natsu answered.
"Then she will be. As long as my sister says it, it's a hundred percent guaranteed," the blue-haired said as he took a sip of wine from his glass.
"So, do you have any leads?" Rogue asked.
"I already know who planned the attack," Natsu said with a trace of hatred in his voice.
The three heads now listened attentively to him. They already had an idea who it was, but they waited to hear it from him.
"Erza, come in" Natsu called out to the person who was waiting on the other side of the door.
When she entered, all their attention shifted to her. They were surprised to see her bandaged right arm and neck. Especially Fernandes.
"What happened to you?" Jellal asked, his voice louder than normal.
Erza looked at him for a moment before she answered.
"I was the one driving the car" she answered, her eyes avoided his gaze.
The others knew Jellal was starting to boil up when he saw her that way. Afterall, it was obvious that the two had a relationship.
"Tell them what you know," Natsu said simply at her.
She nodded and turned to the Dons before her.
"Their target was Lucy. I believe by now they think she's dead," she started, "but I know their faces...and the person they work for."
They went silent.
"It was Nura. Rikuo Nura," she finished.
"That son of a bitch!" Jellal angrily placed his drink on the glass table. He already knew it was Nura, but he was angrier that his woman almost died because of him.
"I knew it," Rogue said.
"That ignorant fool," Lyon hissed.
"This will not be taken lightly," Jellal said with a glare.
They continued to give comments about what happened, and how it should be handled.
As they discussed over it, a knock on the door got Erza's attention. She opened it slightly and found Mirajane outside.
The She-Devil whispered something important to her. Whatever it was, it made Erza surprised. After that, Erza closed the door back and went to Natsu.
This time she whispered in his ear,
"Lucy's awake. She's asking for you."
Hearing this, his eyes widened.
Natsu turned to the other men.
"I'll have to excuse myself for a moment," he started, "I trust you will all agree on a decision on how to deal with him while I'm gone."
They nodded at him.
Natsu exited the office with Erza following him.
Then he stopped and turned to her.
"Gather everyone in one room for my final instruction. I need to see Lucy, first."
Erza nodded at him and did whatever she was told to do.

Natsu opened the door to their room and saw her staring at the ceiling as she laid down on the bed. Wendy who was sitting on a chair just beside her stood up and headed towards the door. She knew Natsu wanted to be alone with his wife.
Now that it was just the two of them, he walked towards her and sat on the right side of the bed. Lucy's attention went to him. She had a sweet smile on her face like nothing happened.
"Hello, beautiful," Natsu said as he held her hand and kissed it, "how are you feeling?"
"I'm okay..." she answered silently.
Natsu looked into her eyes, he could tell she still needed some rest.
"I'm so sorry, baby. I was careless. I promised I would protect you. I'm so sorry I wasn't there for you," he said, sadness in his voice but his face didn't show it.
Lucy shook her head slowly.
"It wasn't your fault. It all happened quickly. Nobody saw it coming, it wasn't anyone's fault," she continued to smile at him.
He could only look at her.
"Don't be angry with the family," Lucy said.
Knowing Natsu, he probably went furious with everyone for what happened. She knew he was very sensitive when it involved her.
"Don't scold them, okay?" she said worrying about the others. She's seen how mad he could be.
"Did you yell at them?" She asked.
He already did. But he didn't want to tell her, it would upset her.
"No." he lied.
Lucy sighed in relief, believing him.
"Baby, I want you to do something for me," her smile disappeared from her face.
He leaned down close enough.
"Anything." he said as he stared into her eyes.
"Whoever did this to me,..." Lucy started, "I want him dead."
Natsu continued to stare into her brown orbs.
He could tell she meant it, and yet she still looked so innocent. It was like she could poison an entire country and still get away with it. Lucy both had power and innocence playing in her hands.
He closed his eyes and kissed her forehead.
"Of course. He will be, baby. Consider him dead." his eyes opened, no trace of emotion in them.
Even if Lucy didn't say it, he would still kill the bastard who did this to her.

There was low murmuring in the large room as they waited for Natsu. Everyone was there, including the Dons. Each with their own men with them.
The large doors opened, revealing the one they've been waiting for.
Natsu walked steadily in front of them, his shoes made light sounds as they touched the floor.
Everyone looked at him as he removed his suit coat. Gray got it from him.
Then Natsu did something that he didn't do very often. Only when he was suppressing his anger. Everytime he did it, they knew someone was going to die.
He put a cigarette in his lips and lit it up with the lighter he had in his pocket.
"I want him killed," he started after puffing his cigarette, "does anyone object?"
Nobody protested. They wouldn't want to disagree with him. Besides, they wanted to get even with the enemy clan as well.
"I want him dead as well," Jellal who was sitting on the corner spoke up. He wasn't going to forgive what happened to Erza.
"I agree," Rogue seconded.
"Well, I never really liked him," Lyon added.
Pleased that they've agreed to a common decision, Natsu took another puff from his cigarette.
"Make sure the incident is contained. I don't want my wife's name on the headlines of the newspaper." Natsu said, his head directed at his brother who nodded at him.
"How do you plan to finish Nura?" Jellal asked with eagerness in his voice.
Natsu puffed his cigarette again.
"I gave him a chance," he said, "but that scum repaid me with ungratefulness. Despicable."
Everyone kept still.
He puffed again, longer this time. The smoke filled the air around him.
"Prepare the choppers, load them with explosives." Natsu started.
"Bomb the Nura mansion," he said in gritted teeth, "No one is to be spared. Destroy everything and leave nothing to be investigated."
Each of them had resolve present in their eyes.
They understood him. Very well.
"I want it done tonight." He continued.
The men of the Dragneel Family bent their heads in comprehension.
Natsu spoke up again, ever so sternly,
"The entire Nura estate...
Bury it in flames.
Burn it down to the ground."
