**This is an AU. Louis is not famous in the story**

 -Chelsea-

"Goodbye mom" I say, trying to nudge my parents out of my dorm room. This year I'm an RA. Meaning I monitor this floor of the dorm, and I get my own room. Sharing with a complete stranger last year was beyond horrible. Her habits were everything but delightful.

"Be safe. Have fun" My mom says with one more wave. I shut the door and admire my newly decorated room. Having my own room this year gave me the freedom to decorate however I liked. I'm into antique looking things. My room very much reflects that. I plop myself onto my newly made bed, looking at my schedule. I'm supposed to meet the people on this floor, and the floor above me.

After contemplating if I should do something with my hair or not before I meet the people I will be sharing the building with for the next year, I decide to just let my shoulder hair length stay as is, laying naturally on my shoulders. I slide my feet into a pair of flip flops and grab my room key. I walk out of my room and down the hall. The sound of my flip flops echoed through the hall. I'm hoping that I will have some people I knew from last year. That would make this much easier. I'm not the most outgoing person you've ever met. My thoughts stop as I walk into the conference room where everyone on my floor, and the one above gathered.

"Hi, you must be Chelsea" A cheerful voice said. Her pixie length blonde hair styled in a cute manner. "I'm one of the RA's on the floor above you"

"Yes, right" I say looking at my sheet that tells me everyone's names "You must be.." I scanned the paper "Monica?" I said unsure

"That's me" she smiled, her eyes bright

"Is this everyone?" I ask, examining the room. Everyone seems like they've known each other for the longest time, even though my floor is mostly freshmen, so in actuality this is the first time they are meeting their roommates and such.

"There's a couple people missing from my floor" she said "I've got the Sophomores on my floor, so they think that schedules are beneath them" She said with a roll of the eyes

Monica was an RA last year, so she went over the rules and regulations of the floors with me, letting me know my responsibilities and advantages of being one. We are interrupted mid-conversation by a group of boys walking in, making a considerable amount of noise with their loud voices

"Ah, sorry I'm late" A British voice said, making me turn my head

Please, no...Even though I hoped with every fiber of my being that it wasn't, it was indeed Louis Tomlinson. He's the definition of disrespectful, rude, conceited, and so many more things I don't want to be around. Him and I were Freshmen last year, we had a couple of the same classes. He constantly disrupts classes. Not to mention he's the biggest player I believe I've ever heard of. I would hear stories every day about him dumping girls after dating them for only a couple days. I'm surprised he didn't go through the whole college campus in his Freshman year. He looks slightly different from last year. More tattoos covered his body and he added a small loop earring at the top of his ear.

"Take a seat Tomlinson" Monica said in an irritated manner. I could tell by her tone that she had already had her share of troubles with this boy

"Oh don't pretend you're mad" Louis said with a wink "You know you can't stay mad at m-" he stopped in mid sentence, turning to me "Whose she" he states, messing with his lip ring

"The RA in the floor below us. Her name is Chels-"

"Didn't ask for a name" He turns and walks back to his friends he entered the room with. He takes a seat beside them. His attitude irks me beyond measure. The way he thinks he is so much better than everyone else. And how can he not remember who I am? He endlessly got on my nerves Freshman year, and he doesn't even know who I am? Of course he would be in my building, and again, of course he would be on the floor above me.

"Don't mind him. He's just a big pain in the butt" Monica says, sending a glare in his direction "He will be the death of me this year"

I nod, acknowledging her statement. I look at Louis, his arms flailing as he tells a story about him skateboarding.

"Alright" Monica spoke up, getting everyon'es attention. She begins taking any questions the residents may have. Many people asked question, a couple questions were repeated, due to people not paying attention.

The meeting finally ended, the students filed out quickly, knowing that the cafe was now serving lunch

"Want to go get something to eat?" Monica asked me while she gathered her things. I thought for a moment, not knowing if I would just rather take food back to my room and be alone, but I decided I would accept the offer

"Sounds good" I smiled, picking up my folder containing the sheet with peoples names on it. We walk to the cafe, Monica talking about all the cute boys on her floor. I smile and nod every once in a while, pretending to listen. We get our food and sit down at a small booth. "So, where are you from?" she asks as she takes a bite from her monstrous burger

"Colorado" I say, dipping my frech fries in a mound of ketchup.

"Oh, what brings you all the way to Connecticut for college?"

"I got a good scholarship. My major is English Literature. The program here surpassed all the other ones at different colleges" I say. The job I want to achieve is an High-school English literature teacher. Literature is my passion. I couldn't imagine doing anything else. This college also gave me an incredible scholarship if I teach in Connecticut for at least two years after I graduate. It was a no brain-er.

"Well that's cool. I'm a psych major"

I nod my head

-Louis-

After being bored to death at orientation, Derek and I headed to the cafe.

"So what do you think about our RA this year, Monica?" Derek nudged me with  a look on his face. I could tell he thought she was attractive. Shes definitely not my type though

"I'll pass" I say, fiddling with the earring at the tip of my ear. I grabbed multiple ketchup packets to have with my chicken and fries. "Let's find a seat" I take a sip of my coke. Derek led the way. And of course he picks a table that's across from Monica's booth. The girl sitting next to her looks familiar. Is that the RA for the floor below us? Ah, I can't remember

"Are you going to Nate's party tonight?" Derek asks as he devours his sand witch.

"Probably" I reply shortly. I watch as Derek repeatedly looks towards Monica. "Mate, just go talk to her. You won't have a chance if she catches you gawking at her." I nudge my head in her direction.

"Fine" He scoots his chair back and walks over to Monica. I decipher that he's telling a joke. The girl across from Monica lets out a small laugh, her eyes crinkling at the edges as she does so. I can't help but let out a small smile as I watch her actions. She looks down at her food shyly as my friend tries to snatch up Monica. I could tell her and Monica were polar opposites. Monica being a large personality, the other girl being more reserved.

I can see Monica sliding Derek a piece of paper. Must be her number. Derek readjusts his snap back and walks back to me "Got it" He smirks, flashing the semi crumpled paper.

****

"Louis, I'm leaving for the party in ten minutes if you want to ride with me" Derek pulls hiself off of his bed and puts on a pair of shoes

"What was the girls name?" I ask, not being very clear in my question

"What girl?" He asks

"The girl that was with Monica" I say "During lunch"

"Oh, I don't know. I didn't ask. I went straight for the target" he winks

"I'm going to go see if she wants to come to the party" I say, walking into the hall way. I exit my dorm room, walking down a floor and to the room that's labeled RA. I knock on the door and perched myself against her door frame. The door opens and I'm greeted by the girl

"What do you want" She breathes

"Well that's not a nice way to greet visitors" I say, surprised at her words. What did I do to make her upset? I'm used to girls being upset at me, but I don't think I've done anything to her

"I'm waiting to hear what you want" She says, leaning more weight on one side then the other, her hands still attached to the door handle

"There's a party tonight, I thought you might like to go with me..." I say, trying to think of what her name may be

"Chelsea" She replies simply "And thanks for the offer, but I'll pass" She says, about to shut the door. I stop it with my foot

"Wait" I say "It's going to be a great party. You'd like it" I hope she changes her mind

"No thanks" She smiles and shuts the door quickly, making me remove my foot from the entryway.

Did I seriously just get rejected? Most girls would die at the chance to come with me to a party. Whatever, I'll just find a different girl to take with me.
