the moon
hides behind
the thick clouds
and refuses
to listen to my
runaway thoughts.
the silence turns
to a tumultuous
echo that
violently pierce
my eardrums,
and slowly
crawl at my toxic
skin.
I can hear the
footsteps of
solitude roaming
the cold alleys of
my choppy heart,
and sense the
emptiness
threatening to sink
me down.
I'm drowning,
in a pool of my
own ink, I'm
choking on the
words that I
always wanted
to say but
couldn't.
the tears are
blurring my
vision, and the
lack of air is
burning my lungs,
yet all my mind
can think of is
you and only you.
my soul is dancing
in the empty void
of your obscure
galaxy, while your
lips trace my every
jagged edge.
I see myself mirrored
in your eyes, and my
heart sighs .
finally, peace .
