Riley's bedroom

Maya, Elliot, and Riley were sitting at Bay Window

"Why do we have to sneak out of the house if we're not doing anything wrong until we sneak on to the subway?" Riley asked innocently.

"You think you're ready to just walk by your parents?" Maya asked.

"I think I'm ready." Riley smiled.

"Let me see your face as you walk by your parents," Maya instructed.

Riley made a weird face.

"Why are you making that face at us, Riley?" Elliot asked his twin pretending to be his father.

"Because I'm sneaking out to the subway," Riley admitted.

Elliot facepalmed himself.

"Out the window." Riley pointed outside.

"Let's go." Maya nodded as she and Riley left out the window.

Elliot stayed there looking at his watch.

"Three...Two... One..."He counted.

"Daddy! What are you doing out here?" Riley asked.

"Being smarter than me how come you're always smarter than me?"Maya asked as she and Riley climbed back into the room.

"Here's what I'm thinking."Cory climbed into the room through the window.

Maya, Elliot, and Riley sat on the bed.

"It's not your world yet. It's still my world. Because if it was your world, Maya would have you on the subway already thinking you put something over on me. But you didn't. Know how I know? Look at you. You're right here." Cory smiled.

"Why didn't you climb out?" Cory asked his son.

"Because I knew you would be there. I'm not stupid."Elliot told him.

"Are you calling me and Riley stupid?"Maya asked.

Elliot just smirked.

"How long do we have to live in our father's world?"Riley asked her twin

"Until you make it yours. Riley, Elliot do you know what I want more than anything? Go ahead. Make it yours."Cory told them.

"We will. And when we do, will you still be there for me?"Elliot asked.

"Right here. We'll be right here." Topanga entered.

The girls linked arms with Elliot and left.

Bleecker Street Subway Station. Maya, Elliot Riley entered

Dweezil was playing garbage cans as drums, as Maya and Riley dance along. Elliot chuckled.

"Dweezil!" Elliot and Maya yelled.

"Maya! Elliot! Who's the new chick?"Dweezil asked.

"Don't call my sister a chick!" Elliot yelled.

"Ye-ow! Overprotective."Dweezil chuckled.

"Chick! Down here I'm a chick! No wonder my parents don't want me on the subway."Riley whispered to Maya.

Maya and Elliot were walking and Riley followed.

"Hey, Elliot."Gretchen flirted with him.

"Hey, Gretchen."Elliot flirted back.

"You're slouching, Maya." Gretchen pointed out.

"Thanks, Gretchen!"Maya fixed her pose, walked forward, then to the side.

Riley mimicked Maya. Elliot just chuckled and followed them.

New York City Subway. Maya, Elliot, and Riley were inside.

Riley applied lip gloss.

"Woah, Riley, you don't do lip gloss," Maya said.

"Oh! What I forgot to mention is that I'm completely reinventing myself. I ride the Subway now, I have kiwi lips now, and I'm just as cool as you now!" Riley smiled.

"Yeah, let's see how cool you can be when you look at him." Maya looked over Riley's shoulder.

Riley turned around and a boy smiled at Riley.

Riley awkwardly smiled, then turns to her brother and Maya then giggled.

"No!" Elliot shouted.

"Yeah, you're gonna need some lessons. Let me show you everything you need to know about boys and girls." Maya told her.

"No!"Elliot yelled.

But it was too late Maya walked over to the boy.

"Hi, I'm Maya. You're really cute. We should hang out sometime. You make me happy. You don't pay enough attention to me. This isn't working out. It's you, not me. We can still be friends, not really." With that Maya walked away leaving him confused.

"He's available. We just broke up."Maya acted sadly.

Elliot chuckled.

"Are you okay? Do we need to talk about it?" Riley asked concerned.

"You still wanna be like Maya and me?"Elliot asked his sister.

"I want to be exactly like you two I think too much, and, you two don't think at all." Riley smiled.

"I think a little."Elliot pointed out.

"See? You get me, so let's not think."Maya smiled.

"Maya don't!"Elliot yelled.

But it was too late Maya unlatched Riley's hand from the bar and she fell on Lucas's lap.

"Why did you have to do that?"Elliot asked.

"Oh come on. You flirt with every girl you have a chance with and you're of the same age.' Maya tried to reason.

"I'm older!"Elliot said angrily.

"5 minutes get over it, "Maya told him.

They decided to watch Riley.

"Hi, we were just talking about you. You used to go out with my friend, Maya." Riley smiled.

The boy looked towards Maya weirdly mostly because Elliot was beside her, glaring at him.

"I'm Lucas." He turned to Riley and introduced himself.

"I love it."Riley smiled.

"Perhaps someone would like to give their seat to someone older." A lady entered.

Lucas stood up politely.

"Not you, sweet potato pie." She stopped him.

"Please don't make me move. I just wanna see where this goes." Riley whispered to the lady.

"I've just worked a 12-hour shift and I just wanna see where this goes. Okay?" The lady pointed to her booty not really asking.

"Okay."Riley sighed and walked to Maya and Elliot.

"That was great!"Riley exclaimed.

"You're welcome."Maya smiled.

"What if that was the best moment of my life? What if nothing ever happens to me again?"Riley asked getting worried.

Maya smiled at Elliot, silently asking for permission.

"Ok do it." Elliot sighed.

Maya smiled and unlatched Riley's hand again. But this time Riley fell on the lady that took her seat. Elliot laughed out loud.

"It's for you." The lady put Riley on Lucas.

John Quincy Adams Middle School hallway. The three were at their lockers.

"Did you have trouble with the homework?"Riley asked.

"Piece of cake."Maya shrugged.

"You didn't do it, did you?"Elliot asked knowing the answer.

"I don't even know where my books are, "Maya admitted.

"They're here. And they're heavy." Riley opened her messenger bag and hands Maya's books to her.

As the bell rang they entered a classroom.

"You have to do the homework, Maya. This teacher's insane." Riley told her.

"A total nut job. I think there's something seriously wrong with him."Elliot told her.

"Hi, kids." Cory greeted.

"Hi, Daddy."Riley smiled.

"Sup." Elliot greeted him.

"You're late for your father's class," Cory told them.

"Oh, don't worry, Mr. Matthews, you wrote them a note." Maya took out a note.

"I did?'Cory asked.

"You did." Maya handed Elliot the note.

"You did."Elliot handed Riley the note.

"You did."Riley handed Cory the note.

"Riley and Elliot are late. Deal with it." Cory read the note.

"Oh, you got my signature down pretty good this time."He told Maya.

"Oh it was easy, you write like a girl."Maya shrugged as they sat down.

"Okay, let me get back to jamming some learning in your heads, The Civil War," Cory told the class.

"The Civil Bore." Maya mocked.

"Thank you, future Mini-Mart employee of the month," Cory said sarcastically.

"Would I be making more money than you?"Maya asked.

Cory paused for a moment.

"Will she?" Elliot asked eager to know the answer.

"The Civil War! Anybody?"Cory ignored the previous question.

"A war we fought against ourselves."Elliot and Riley said in unions.

"What, you actually studied it?"Cory asked Riley. He knew Elliot knew the answer.

"No, Elliot and I are actually living in it."Riley smacked her head on her desk.

"People, people, are we here to learn or not?"Farkle asked clapping his hands together.

"What do you mean, Farkle?"Cory asked.

"Elliot and I are best friends. I've been in love with his sister since the first grade. But I'm also equally in love with Maya. Some might say the great mystery of the universe is who's gonna be the first Mrs. Farkle."Farkle smirked.

Elliot chuckled at his best friend.

"You don't want this."Maya turned towards Farkle.

"Bring it on, "Farkle smirked.

"I always thought that he'd wind up with back-of-the-class Brenda," Riley told them as everyone turned around.

Brenda waved.

"Yuck!" Farkle said disgustedly.

"Actually, the great mystery of the universe is how you can be friends with him and remain sane and how you can love two women the same who couldn't possibly be more different," Cory told Farkle.

"What's that suppose to mean?"Elliot asked offended.

"We're not so different," Riley told him.

"May I overstep my bounds, sir?"Farkle raised his hand.

"You always do."Cory switched places with Farkle.

Farkle flipped over the name tag on Cory's desk so it said 'Farkle' instead of 'Mr. Matthews'.

"Riley is the sun. Warm and bright and lights up my whole day." Farkle said as he slammed his hands on Riley's desk.

"Maya is the night. Dark and mysterious. And the night has always been a mystery to me. Because I go to bed at 7:30."Farkle said as he slammed his hands on Maya's desk.

"And let's not forget. Elliot my man, my best friend, the wedge between. He is a mixture of them."Farkle said as he slammed his hands Elliot's desk.

"How can I love these two different women and not be friends with this idiot How can I not? Thank you, I am Farkle!"Farkle bowed.

"Ok, Farkle might be in love with Maya but she is my future wife."Elliot smiled.

"No, I am not."Maya shook her head.

"Yes, you are."Elliot nodded.

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"No," Elliot smirked.

"Yes."Maya nodded.

Elliot smirked and laid back in his seat.

Maya began thinking.

"Wait a minute..."Maya began

"Okay...So, we were indeed trying to find out who we were, as a people. Who am I? What should I be? History shows that bad things happen when you don't know who you are."Cory told the class.

Just then Lucas entered.

"Who are you? I don't know who you are."Cory said to Lucas.

"Subway boy!"Riley whispered to Elliot and Maya.

"I'm Lucas Friar, from Austin, Texas.' Lucas handed Cory a note.

'Oh. New student, Mr. Friar?' Cory asked.

"Yes, sir."He answered.

"No!"Elliot yelled.

Everybody looked at Elliot weirdly.

"He can't be here. Go to another class!"Elliot yelled Lucas.

"Umm..."Lucas began.

"Elliot."Cory looked as son weirdly.

"This should be fun," Maya smirked.

"Ignore him. You're just in time for today's assignment. Have a seat."Cory instructed.

Lucas sat in the seat behind Riley

Riley turned and smiled at Lucas. He smiled back.

"Okay, so we..." Cory walked to Riley and turned her head forward.

"So, I'd like you guys to open your books to page 48," Cory told the class.

They began doing as told.

"Now, I'd like you to turn to page one," Cory told them.

They did as told.

"Now, I'd like you to read from page 1 to 48," Cory instructed.

Everyone but Lucas and Farkle groaned.

"Oh, too bad on you. Okay, so for tonight's assignment, I'd like you to write me a three-page essay on anything. Anything at all, that you guys believe in so strongly, you fight for it."Cory told them

"That! I'd fight for no homework. I come here every day; why can't you teach me everything I need to know while I'm here." Maya stood up.

"Woo!"Riley cheered.

Cory gave her a look

"Not woo!"Riley said while looking at Cory.

"He gets our days, let's take back our nights. No homework, more freedom! Who's with me?"Maya cheered.

There was a moment of silence.

"No homework, more freedom! No homework, more freedom! No homework, more freedom!"Maya began cheering with the class.

"This is it, kid. You wanna be like me? Stand up."Maya whispered to Riley.

She started chanting

"No homework, more freedom! No homework, more freedom! No homework, more freedom!"People began leaving the class.

Riley stood up.

"What are you doing?" Cory asked.

"I'm making a choice about who I want to be, about whose world I want it to be," Riley told him.

"Riley, I know you. You know exactly who you are."Cory told her.

"Who am I, Dad?"Riley asked.

"You're just like me."Cory half-smiled.

"Oh, now you've done it."Elliot sighed.

"Oh, yeah? Would you do this? No homework, more freedom! No homework, more freedom! Farkle, are you with us or not? No homework, more freedom! No homework, more freedom!"Riley began to leave the class.

Farkle stood in front of Elliot.

"My education? Or my women? My education? Or my women? My education? Or my women?"Farkle soon started fainting.

Elliot held out his arms.

"Oh, it's happening again, El." With that Farkle fainted in his best friend's arms.

Matthews' apartment. Topanga was in the family room.

"Ma!" Riley yelled as she entered.

"Ma!"Cory yelled as he entered.

"How ya doin ma?"Elliot came in.

"Hi, honey."Topanga hugged him.

"Fix them, "Elliot told her.

"Whatever this is, do not put me in the middle of the two people I love equally. Just kidding! Come here, honey."Topanga hugged Riley.

"My teacher followed me home. Can we keep him? Can we keep him? Please say no."Riley told her.

"She walked out of my class. She's trying to be Maya." Cory told her.

"Why would you want to be Maya?"Topanga asked.

"Because she's cool, she has a wild side. She does what she wants."Riley argued.

"That's one of the things I love most about her."Elliot smiled.

"But you're such a good person!"Topanga argued.

"Who cares about that? Do you really think I'm one of those girls who follow all of the rules and never gets into trouble?"Riley asked her parents.

"I was hoping."Cory smiled.

"Do you think I'm well-raised?"Riley asked.

"Half!" Topanga told her after a pause during which she looked at Cory.

Elliot just chuckled.

"How important is it that you don't know me at all?" With that Riley left.

"I'll go talk to her." With that Elliot left.

"Let's get married. Let's have a kid, who turn out to be twins. Let's have another kid."Topanga mimicked Cory.

"Well, you listened to me, you big stupid."Cory laughed as they hugged.

Matthews' apartment. Auggie and Riley were sitting on a window ledge. Elliot was watching from the door.

"Am I the type of person who always plays it safe? Is this who I'm going to be for the rest of my life? Am I ever going to take a risk that changes my destiny?"Riley asked herself out loud.

"Do bears know how to smile? Why is cake always so delicious? Will my drawings ever get any better?"Auggie asked himself out loud.

"Are you making fun of me?"Riley asked him.

"No, I think just like you because we're twins."Auggie smiled at her.

"We're not twins. Elliot and I are."Riley told him.

"Mom!" Auggie yelled while leaving.

"Well, that went better than I thought it would," Elliot spoke up.

The twins laughed.

John Quincy Adams Middle School cafeteria. Maya, Elliot, and Riley are sitting down to eat lunch.

"Aww, look at him looking for a place to fit in," Maya said noticing Lucas.

"You think he'll sit with us?" Riley asked.

"He better not!"Elliot narrowed his eyes at Lucas but he didn't notice.

Maya slid over so there's a chair between her and Riley.

"Ladies and Elliot."Farkle sat in between them before Lucas could.

"Farkle."They greeted him in unions.

"Interesting lunch line dilemma. Sloppy joe."Farkle looked at Maya.

"Or chicken pot pie?" Farkle looked at Riley.

"Or sloppy joe."Farkle looked at Maya.

"Or chicken pot pie?"Farkle looked at Riley.

"Is that all you got?" Elliot asked his best friend.

"That's it! Same time tomorrow!" With that Farkle left.

"There he is! Invite him to sit down."Maya moved Riley to the seat next to her.

"Don't you dare."Elliot scolded her.

"With words?"Riley asked.

"You're ready for this."Maya encouraged her.

"No, she is not!" Elliot yelled.

"What do I say?"Riley asked ignoring Elliot.

"Hey, Lucas. Looking for somebody special?" Maya suggested.

"Don't say that!"Elliot yelled.

"I can't say that!"Riley shook her head.

"Hey, Lucas. Looking for somebody?"Maya suggested.

"Don't say that either!"Elliot yelled.

"Too forward," Riley told Maya.

"Hey, Lucas, "Maya suggested.

"No!" Elliot yelled.

"Like we're on a first-name basis?"Riley asked.

"Hey, "Maya told her.

"Hey, "Riley tried it out.

"Hey back."Lucas sat down.

"Why!"Elliot yelled looking at the sky.

Riley smiled at Lucas awkwardly for a little while.

"Hi. You're sitting here."Riley stated.

"Is that okay?"Lucas asked.

"Not with me, "Elliot told him.

Maya covered Elliot's mouth.

Riley gave him a thumbs up

"Can you excuse me for just one sec?" Riley asked.

Lucas nodded.

Riley turned to Maya and they squealed for a split second. Elliot chuckled.

'How is ya doin?' Cory entered.

"Take him away. Take him away now."Elliot nodded.

"Dad, you and Elliot have a choice here. You two can either understand that this is just a boy talking to me in the cafeteria..." Riley began.

"We're gonna do whatever you say next, "Elliot told her.

"But this is so innocent!"Riley argued.

"Honey, fathers, and brothers don't see anything as innocent. We see it as...what's the opposite of innocent?"Cory asked.

"Right here!"Maya raised her hand as Elliot pointed to her.

Cory waved at Maya.

"Please don't embarrass me." Riley requested.

"I'm just gonna talk to Mr. Friar about geography, "Cory told her and then turned to Lucas.

"You know, I've been to a lot of places. Never been to Texas, though. What part of Texas is the closest to Mexico?"Cory asked.

"That'd be El Paso, sir, " Lucas informed.

"Great! Let's go right now!" Cory dragged Lucas' chair away from the table as he waved at Riley.

"Never come back!"Elliot yelled.

The trio got up from the table

"So, did you do the homework?"Riley asked Maya.

"No, I didn't do the homework. The question on everybody's kiwi lips is, did you do the homework?"Maya asked her.

"No, I'm one of the founding members of the Homework Rebellion. You think I did my homework?"Riley asked offended.

"I think you did hers, too, "Elliot spoke up.

"I did. I did, and I really liked it."Riley smiled.

"Riley, don't save me, " Maya told her.

"What?"Riley asked confused.

"Let me be me, " Maya told her.

Farkle walked by with two desserts.

"Oh. You got two desserts?" Elliot asked.

'Angel's food cake,' Riley spoke up.

"And Devil's food cake, " Maya spoke up.

'Let me guess who's who.' Elliot smiled.

"Hey, Farkle's just hungry. Not everything is about you." With that Farkle left and the trio laughed.

____________________________________________________________

John Quincy Adams Middle School history class. Lucas was sitting down in the desk behind Riley.

"Hi. I'm glad you're back." Riley whispered at him.

"Hi. Me too."Lucas whispered.

Cory approached Riley and Lucas

"Hi. apparently, you have a better sense of direction than I anticipated."He gestured towards Riley.

Riley turned back embarrassed and put her hands on her desk.

Cory does the 'I'm watching you' signal to Lucas.

"You are a really good-looking guy, "Cory told him.

Lucas smiled.

"Dad!' Elliot yelled at him.

"Okay. So, today we're gonna find out if anybody here believes in something so strongly, they'd fight for it. Elliot. Present your homework." Cory told his son.

Elliot stood up with a smirk on his face.

"I will fight for the love of my life, Maya Hart..."Elliot began.

"Oh boy."Maya sighed a put her head on her desk.

"Ok, I've heard enough. Sit down."Cory told his son.

"Read it. It's very moving."Elliot told his dad.

"Sit down," Cory repeated.

Elliot sat down with a smirk on his face.

"Maya, "Cory called.

"Yes, sir."Maya nodded.

"Present your homework," Cory told her.

"Can't do that, sir." Maya shook her head.

"Why not?"Cory asked.

"Didn't do my homework, sir, "Maya smirked.

"Why not?"Cory repeated the same question.

"That's what I'm fighting against, sir," Maya smirked.

"Oh, this could go on for a while."Farkle put on a sleep mask.

"Farkle Farkle Farkle Farkle. Farkle Farkle Farkle Farkle."Farkle snored.

"I didn't do my homework, either, "Riley spoke up.

"Oh, really?"Cory asked not believing it.

"Yeah. We're the same, now. I don't believe in homework."Riley told him.

Elliot rolled his eyes. Why can't his sister just be herself? She was a wonderful person. And the world has one Maya, it has one Elliot and it needs one Riley.

"Guess what, Riley? That doesn't make you the same as Maya at all."Cory told her.

"I have something to say."Maya raised her hand.

"Wow, I don't know what to do, I've never seen this before, " Cory said shocked.

"Me either dad. I say we take a leap of faith and see what happens, "Elliot said shocked.

"The floor's yours, Ms. Hart."Cory smiled.

"Get up, Farkle. You're gonna wanna be awake for this."Maya stood up and pulled his sleep mask.

"Is it our honeymoon?"Farkle stood up happily.

"Aw, buddy you missed that."Elliot sarcastically pouted.

"Now it's time to hand in our essays, "Maya told him.

"Oh! Farkle goes first, Farkle always goes first!" With that Farkle left.

"Alright, everybody who did their homework, put it on your desk, "Maya said as she started collecting.

"Careful there, Ms. Hart, "Cory warned.

"Are you sure about this?"Elliot asked.

"I got this. " Maya told him.

"Okay."Elliot gave her his paper.

Farkle entered with an extravagant project.

"Woah buddy, it was just a paper."Elliot's eyes widened at the project.

"The branding of Atlanta led to the end of the Civil War, and of peace. I believe that peace is worth fighting for."Farkle explained ignoring Elliot.

Maya took a sparkler off of his project

"Hey, that's a pivotal part of my diorama!"Farkle whined.

Maya took another sparkle.

"And there goes, Virginia."Farkle sighed.

"The burning of the homework led to the end of the Homework Rebellion because there was no more homework."Maya stood on a chair, about to burn the homework with the sparklers.

"Maya stop!" Elliot took the papers from her.

"Alright, alright. That's far enough, Maya. I get it."Cory told her trying to make her get down.

"No homework, more freedom!"Maya chanted as the sparkles touch the sprinklers, which set them off, then the fire alarm rang.

"Okay, so those work."Maya sighed.

"Is this all part of your presentation, or is this actually going on?"Farkle asked

The majority left the class.

Elliot sighed. He pulled Maya down and put his leather jacket of their heads.

"Maya why?"Elliot asked.

Maya just sighed.

"Why didn't you stop your friend?"Lucas asked Riley.

Elliot turned around and saw that Lucas had his jacket off him and Riley.

"That's not what I do anymore, "Riley told him.

"You're better than that!"Lucas told him.

"I'm just letting her be her," Riley told him.

Farkle climbed on top of Elliot.

"Ms. Hart, you have detention. The principal will determine if it goes farther than that. Ms. Matthews, Mr. Matthews, Mr. Minkus, and Mr. Friar please leave."Cory instructed.

"I deserve detention, too!"Riley yelled.

"No, you don't. You didn't do anything. You let your brother stop her alone and because you let your brother stop her alone your best friend is in very big trouble."Cory told her.

"Alright Farkle, you can get down now," Elliot told him.

"Well, you're actually quite comfortable, El, "Farkle told him

"Thanks... Get off!"Elliot yelled.

"Farkle isn't going anywhere!"Farkle yelled.

______________________________________________________________

John Quincy Adams Middle School hallway. Maya, Elliot Riley were at their lockers. Farkle was on Elliot's back.

Cory entered.

"Down, Farkle, " Elliot ordered and Farkle got off.

"You're looking at us pretty hard there, Mr. Matthews," Maya sighed.

"I just wanna stand by my girl," Riley smiled at Maya.

"You missed the moment to stand by your girl. You were so busy trying to be her, Riley, that you forgot the best thing you can do for her is be you, "Cory scolded her.

They sighed.

"Riley, Elliot takes Farkle for a walk," Cory ordered.

Elliot gave his leather jacket to Maya, weakly smiled and he, Riley and Farkle left.

"Listen. For as long as I can remember, it's always been Riley, Maya, and Elliot Now, I always believed a friend helps another friend out of trouble, not into it, "Cory scolded.

"I'm sorry, " Maya apologized.

"I am too because you go too far. Do you understand me?' Cory asked.

"I have nobody at home who helps me with my homework."With that Maya left, leaving Cory speechless.

______________________________________________________________

New York City Subway. Maya, Elliot, and Riley were inside. There was an awkward silence

"Riley? Elliot?" Maya broke the silence.

"Yeah?" They asked in unions.

"If we can't hang out with each other as much anymore, don't worry about it, "Maya told them.

"Wait, why would..."Riley began.

"He's going to make you end our friendship, "Maya told them.

"He said that?"Elliot asked shocked.

"He's really upset with me, "Maya told them.

"He loves you."They said in unions.

"I don't think so anymore. I just want you to know that I get it wouldn't be your fault, "Maya told them.

"Bee-you-ti-full! You two little bumblebees and twinny got a sweet thing going., "The lady from this morning clapped.

"How do you know we're twins?"Elliot stood in front of Riley protectively, concerned that the woman was a stocker.

"I know everything. But where's your extra hunk?" She began looking around.

They just stared at her.

"You ain't got no extra hunk, you ain't got no drama!"She yelled.

"I haven't been a good friend, "Maya told them.

"You're my best friend, "Riley told her.

"You're the love of my life, "Elliot told her.

"She's your best friend he loves you. Best friends and loved ones are important. I have a best friend and a husband. I'm not talking to them right now, " The lady hissed.

They just ignored her.

"I go too far. And I don't think that's gonna stop. I'm bad for you two, "Maya told them.

"He said that?"They asked shocked.

"He will."Maya reasoned.

The subway stopped.

"This is your stop. Don't be me. You don't go as far as me, "Maya told Riley.

"Take care of her, "Maya told Elliot.

"No!"

"No!"

They kept on yelling as Maya lead them off the train.

"No! Do not push them off this train, "The lady told her and the twins began to leave.

"You do not push your best friends off the train," The lady whined as the door closed.

"Riley I am not about to leave her," Elliot said determinedly.

"I'm not her," Riley said determinedly.

The twins turned around, then opened the door.

"Ooh, they're back! They pushed those doors open with the power of love!"The lady exclaimed.

They went to Maya.

"You're not allowed to abandon our friendship," Elliot told her.

"We would never do that," Riley told her.

"Guys, I'm pushing you away because I'm not good for you two anymore, "Maya told them.

"Only we decide that. You know why?"Elliot asked.

"Why?"Maya asked.

"Because if this is our world now, the first person we want in it is you, "Riley told her.

"And Farkle," Elliot nodded.

"And Farkle," Riley nodded.

"You two are gonna save me, aren't you?" Maya asked

"We are, "Riley smiled.

"Oh yeah," Elliot smirked.

The girls linked arms with Elliot and ran out of the subway.

________________________________________________________________________________

Matthews' apartment. Maya, Elliot, and Riley ran in

"Where is he?" The twins asked in unions.

Auggie and Topanga pointed at Cory.

"There is no way we'll let you break up my friendship with Maya," Elliot told him.

"Is that what you think I want, kids?"Cory asked hurt.

"No, what you said you really want is for us to make the world our own."Elliot nodded.

"And you want me to do my homework. Well, I'm doing it right now. Here's what I think is worth fighting for. This is Elliot's and my best friend. She's gonna get us into trouble, and I'm gonna get us out of it with Elliot's help. And we did because here we are. Look at us, Dad. We're right here. our Civil War is over, Dad. Elliot and I won, "Riley smiled.

Everybody smiled softly.

"What happens now?"Elliot asked.

Bleecker Street Subway Station. Auggie, Cory, Farkle, Elliot Lucas, Maya, Riley, and Topanga are gathered.

"Friends, family, and all you other subterranean mole people. We're here today to celebrate Riley and Elliot being Riley and Elliot. Now, some may call there a New York City Subway passes. But you kids can consider this tickets to the world," Cory told his twins.

"You think really I'm ready?"Riley asked.

"You showed us you are," Topanga smiled.

"Kids, I've already met the world. It's your turn," Cory told them.

Riley smiled then took the card.

Cory was about to give Elliot his card.

"No thanks I already have one," Elliot told him.

"How?"Cory asked.

"I have my ways, "Elliot smirked.

"Hey, this isn't so different from Texas. Look, there's a pony," Lucas pointed to a rat.

"That's a rat," Farkle told him.

Lucas looked confused and scared.

Gretchen and another model walked by them.

"Ladies," Farkle flirted.

"Farkle," They flirted back.

Lucas looked even more confused now.

"So, where do you wanna go?" Maya asked.

"Don't know. Big world," Riley told her.

"Ours now?" Elliot asked.

"Yeah, but dad did say we have to be home by five," Riley told him

"Don't worry. He wrote to you two a note." Maya smirked and handed Riley a note as they walk into the subway.

"Farkle!" Elliot yelled.

"Coming," Farkle quickly followed behind.

"Next stop, Astor Place, 14th Street, and the world, "The subway announcer said.

Bleecker Street Subway Station. The four friends exit the Subway, where Auggie, Cory, and Topanga were waiting.

"You guys came back and waited for us?"Elliot asked.

"Hey, we told you we were always gonna be here for you, "Topanga told him.

"Yeah, guys. It's not so easy handing over the world without making sure everything's gonna be okay." With that, Cory turned around.

Mr. Feeny appeared.

"Well done, Mr. Matthews." With that, Mr. Feeny disappeared.

Chapter 1: Who are we?: Civil War within ourselves

We all have to figure out ourselves one day: Who are we? What do we believe in? What about the people who help us decide who we are as a person. People in our lives help us shape who we are. People who play the biggest roles in my life: Riley Matthews: my twin sister, the light. Maya Hart: my girl, the darkness. Light balances the dark and the dark balances the light. But what about the grey area in between. I, Elliot Matthews am the grey area, people often say that the grey area is a terrible place to be in. But I wouldn't have it any other way. Because by being the grey area itself I know for a fact that I can't live without both of them by my side and I wouldn't have it any other way. Maya Hart and Riley Matthews make me who I am. If it wasn't for them I would be stuck in my own Civil War.

"How's the book coming along?"Topanga and Cory came into the boys' room as Elliot was typing away and Auggie was in deep sleep.

"Good, I finally came up with a title for the first chapter," Elliot told them.

"What?" Cory asked.

"Who are we?: Civil War within ourselves, "Elliot told them.

"Did you come with a title for the book?"Topanga asked.

"Not yet. But I'll know when it comes to me."
