'Ms. Chara Rodgers, I expect you to get your ass here down to breakfast, and this very minute', said Zara, trying to keep every inch of politeness in her already annoyed tone.
Zara was a mother of two now, both of them the most beautiful yet annoying pair of siblings ever.
Chara irritatedly rubbed her eyes and slammed the door of the washroom while Zara smiled at her triumph.
'That's my baby', said Chris, coming into the room, laughing at his daughter.
'I hate both of you. It's Sunday Dad!!', she screamed through brushing her teeth.
'Yeah but you have to go for ice skating with Zarius and Emily, so get ready and come down for breakfast, we loovvee youuu', shouted Chris while sliding down the steps, just like he did at college, a shrieking Zara following behind to make sure he doesn't break any of the new vases she bought
Chara laughed and shook her head at her dad's stupidity, it almost seemed like he was growing younger as she grew older. Being seventeen wasn't an easy job, especially with school, different competitions and an annoying two year younger brother who's relationships depended on her expert advice
Being the daughter of two of the most amazingly talented people in the world she expects herself to live up to their name. She's not just Chara, She's Chara Ryder Rodgers
That name speaks confidence, it speaks justice, faith and hope
It speaks of the legends her mom and dad were, are and forever will be
And she better keep it that way
Debates, Speeches, Writing, all of this has been keeping her hectic life all the more busy, but she doesn't mind it, she will do anything and everything to live up to her name

'Its Sunday, and Sunday is Fun Day'
She chuckles at what her godmother, Lily ,had told her when she was nine, burdened with one of those slam poetry competitions.
She got dressed heavily in her blue jacket and black jeans, the weather would be cold at the grounds.
She tied her black wavy hair into a neat fishtail braid, she remembers learning the art from her mother from whom she'd inherited her own locks
And just as she was about to get down for breakfast, in came Zarius, panting, a pair of jeans and a red flannel in hand.
She looked at his face and knew what he wanted immediately
'Dressing advice?', she smirked, knowingly
'Yes, ma'am', his hand shot up in salute to his sibling, responsible for patching him up with most of his girlfriends
Now, the development in town was that this young man was crushing on his aunt Lily's daughter, young and beautiful Emily
Emily and Zarius have been friends since birth. Being the child of Lily and Shane, she was born happy and with killer looks, which have apparently worked on this poor guy's heart.
Both, the same age, joined school together, and have been best friends ever since

Anywho, Zarius had always had this tiny crush on Emily since kindergarten but he had always been shy to admit it. Eventually he had had enough and by the end of this month he was gonna ask her out, whether she liked it or not
Clicking back to reality, Chara helped her brother pick out his outfit, a polo neck, pair of black jeans and glasses.
'Carry your jacket just in case, you dont wanna seem like an idiot if she's feeling cold okay', she advised, nodding her head professionally
'And what about me?', he turned around, an unfolded shirt in his hand
'What about you?', she asked, clearly confused
'What if I felt cold?', he emphasised with his hands
'Honey, nobody cares about you, its Emily we're talking about okay? Have a good day sweetie', she smirked, strutting out while her brother copied her using an annoyingly high pitched tone
Two whole hours later
Emily, Zarius and Chara are skating together and laughing, taking turns and swirling on the spot
Every time Emily falls, Zarius is there to catch her and she blushingly thanks him for "practically saving my life". Chara's heart melts seeing the both of them. She smiles to herself.
Zarius goes out to get some coffee for himself and Emily gets the chance to finally talk to Chara.
'Chara! CHARA!!', she screams over the ground
'Coming, coming', she replies, skating her way back to Emily. 'Yeah tell me Ms. Killean. What can I do for you today?'
'I dont know what to do!!', she says, her hands flying to her side
'Listen, woman, just tell him, you've crushed on him too long to keep this a secret', she says softly
Emily looks up, 'But what if he doesn't like me back?'
You could almost see the pain in her eyes
Chara enveloped her in a hug
'Listen, sweetheart, i will bet a thousand bucks that that won't happen so breathe and smile and be yourself. Have you looked at how beautifully, amazingly, awesome you are? (She laughed at that) Shutup, stop fretting and breathe. Wish you all the luck'
'Thanks Chara, you're the best in the world', she hugged her tighter
'I know I am, no autographs please', she flipped her hair while they both laughed
The sun died down after the three of them were done, there parents were back from their double date.
Lily smiled at the three of them,'Tired are we?'
'Yeah loads', said Zarius. 'How was your double date Aunt Lily?'
'Just like old times kid. Just like old times', said Shane, taking place on the bench next to his wife, smiling
'WHO WANTS ICE CREAMS?!!?!!', screamed Chris
'MEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!', screamed the five of them, racing to Chris while Zara laughed at Shane and Lily trying to figure out who came first in the race and whining like little babies
The seven took their place upon the hill in the park, the night starting to darken step by step.
Soon the stars came out, Lily squealed, 'Make a wish, make a wish'
Chris hugged his wife and daughter and said quietly,'I thank Lord for both you beauties every day of my life and I can't say I love you enough. Thanks for turning my life around Z', he smiled
'What can I say, I'm the best', she laughed and enveloped both of them in fits of laughter
Shane whispered something to Lily and she blushed, both of them probably remembering the old days, young and beautiful
Zarius sat next to Emily, fidgeting with his hands
'Its so beautiful',she whispered
'I swear', he replied, not looking up
'I'm talking about the sky, Zarius', she smirked looking at his goofy face break into a blush
'Uh...Em I need to talk about something',he said
She swung his arms around her neck, and nestled next to him,'I like you too'
And just like that no words were exchanged because since kids they both knew what the other wanted, what the other needed
She stared up at the sky along with him till her eyes overcame with exhaustion.
