Run, run, run.
Running to a place
Running to find shelter
*boom, boom, boom*
The ground shakes, animals scurry
Run, run, run
I'm urged on by the rain.
The water works.
I hear the shrieks of kids,
The screams of sirens.
The booms are like my feet,
Fast on the dirt.
Maybe they're gone, maybe i'm safe.
Run! Run! Run!
They're screaming now,
I pick up my pace.
But drop to the floor.
As i die slowly,
My last thought i will ever have was
"Am i safe now mommy?"
