AS SOON AS the thought of magic truly existing occurred, Sam hurried around his room to find a backpack. Looking through his closest, rearranging his grandfather's newest taxidermy creation, he found an old backpack.

"I hate taxidermy," Sam mutters to himself as he rushes to place the spell book inside of the bag. He zips it up and rushes downstairs, before being confronted by his mother.

"Sam, where are you going, sweetie?" His mother questions with a hand on her hip. The fashion disaster didn't need this, he had a mission!

"I'm going to hangout with Alan and Edgar. They needed my help, uh...the comic book shop has a lot customers and they need help managing." Sam says half truthfully, hoping his mother would let him off the hook. The comic book shop was never crowded, but he needed a valid excuse to ride his bike down to the boardwalk.

"At this hour? Hun, maybe you should wake up Michael and ask him to take you down there." Lucy responds, it might've been overbearing, but she was concern for her youngest son.

She didn't want him wandering around the boardwalk alone, especially when Santa Carla has so many missing people reports.

"He'll never wake up! He's good as dead!" Sam complains, which caused his mother to frown and let out a small sigh.

Sam felt bad, while it was reliving that they're out of Phoenix and away from their father, he knew that the adjusting to their new lifestyle was still tough.

"I know your brother has been acting odd lately, and I believe he's just been having a harder time adjusting to change. Just tell him that I told you that he HAS to take you down to the boardwalk, okay?" Lucy states, finalizing her decision before hurrying back to the living room to retrieve her purse off the couch. She was already late to work.

Sam sighed, but trudged upstairs to his brother's room. He knocked on the door a few times before being greeted with silence, and decides to slowly open the door. Michael laid on his bed with last night's clothes on and sunglasses adorning his face. The Sun was slowly setting and anytime now Michael would've woken up by himself.

"Jeez Mike, at least change out of your clothes," Sam mumbles, poking his brother and pushing him softly to wake him up. After a few moments, Sam groans because Michael isn't budging. Abandoning his old tactic, Sam walks towards Michael's window and opens the shutters, allowing orange glow of the light to leak into the room and disrupt sleeping beauty's sleep.

Michael sleepily groans, "Sam, what do you want?"

Finally!

"Mom says you HAVE to bring me down to the boardwalk." Sam explains, empathizing on his words. Time was running out, what if Sam released something horrible? What if he opened a portal to DC universe and Darkseid comes out?

There's no Justice League to save them here!

"Aren't you old enough to go by yourself?" Michael grumpily questions, slowly sitting up on his bed. Lately, Michael has been acting more moody and aggressive.

"I thought so too, but mom doesn't! Now hurry up, I have places to be!" Sam urges as he becomes more annoyed with his brother.

I mean, this could be life and death and here's Michael sitting here, dozing off like a doofus!

About twenty minutes later, after struggling with Michael and his mood swings, he made it! He was finally walking into the Frog's store, and Edgar notices him first.

"Need help with anything, Phoenix?" Edgar asks, referring Sam as Phoenix because of his hometown.

Alan is restocking comics, some of them Sam already has. He's been waiting for the new Superman comic to come out, but that's not the issue right now.

Sam doesn't answer for a moment, and Edgar's eyes linger on the boy. Sam adjusts his backpack straps, before sauntering through the isles as he browsed at comics.

Edgar follows the blond, feeling that Sam was avoiding him, or even worst, hiding something important!

Sam stops, and his hands grazes on the cover of the newest Wonder Woman comic. It seemed as if Sam was looking anywhere but at Edgar!

"Do you ever have the feeling that you did something you shouldn't had?" Sam queries, looking around the comic book shop.

It almost seems as if he was nervous, and it doesn't help that he kept avoiding eye contact with either Frog Brother.

"Sam, what did you do?" Edgar questions back gruffly.

Alan stops restocking and looks up, his curiosity awaken.

"Well, you see, I might've done something bad." Sam answers vaguely, finally looking at Edgar. The nervousness hasn't died down at all, and Edgar's stare isn't helping.

"Like what?" Edgar urges, and Alan joins his brother, crossing his arms and staring at Sam.

"I might've bought an authentic spell book and accidentally opened a portal." Sam confessed, although the Frogs had a hard time comprehending because the boy spoke so quickly.

But after a moment of processing the information, Edgar looks so exasperated, "Sam, you dumbass!"

While vampires were their speciality, the Frog brothers weren't ignorant of the rest of the supernatural world. They weren't expecting to deal with something outside the gruesome and vile vampires though.

"Do you have the spell book?" Alan asks.

Sam nods his head, and takes off his backpack, opening the zipper and revealing a thick leather book. It was titled Magic Notebook: Beware Those Who Seek The Secrets That Lie Within, and the book seemed a bit old and damaged.

Alan takes the book from Sam, heading back to the store's counter. Sam and Edgar follow behind.

"Let's see what you did now." Edgar comments,  watching Alan as he searches for the page of the spell that was used.

Meanwhile...

The sun has long settled down, and the moon had taken its place. The boardwalk was crowded as ever, and music blared from a live performance on the beach.

Michael had finally joined David and the others. Paul and Marko were talking about something, and it was something Michael didn't care to listen to.

Dwayne was focusing on Laddie, and Star was absent from their presence for whatever reason. Besides Michael was David, who was explaining about Max and how creepy the video store owner was.

For the most part, while not knowing Max very well, Michael did agree with David. The Max dude was totally into his mom, which wasn't something Michael was too fond of. He was sure Sammy wasn't too happy with it either.

'Speaking of Sammy, what on earth...' Michael thinks to himself, he must been hallucinating!

A small boy with glasses, who looked awfully a lot like Sam, was standing lost and afraid in the middle of the boardwalk. Numerous people were walking past the kid, not paying much attention to him. And people wonder why everyone goes missing around here!

Honestly, it horrified Michael. Why was his baby brother so small, and what happened to his clothes? He's wearing a completely different outfit! Michael hurried towards small Sam, leaving David perplexed.

"Where are you going, Michael?" David questions, following Michael closely as his eyes landed on Michael's topic of interest – small Sam Emerson!

"Sam, why are you so small?" Michael exclaims as he bends down in front of Sam. He's shocked by how youthful and weightless his baby brother appeared. He even wore dorky glasses, which appeared cute and complimented the boy's blue doe eyes.

How was Michael going to explain this to Lucy?

By now, Paul, Marko, and Dwayne with Laddie on his back, had followed David and Michael. For the most part, all of them looked flabbergasted and amused.

"Baby Emerson got even smaller!" Paul laughs out loud, noticing how petrified Sam looked.

But Sam wasn't Sam, and little did they know the REAL Sam Emerson was at the Frog's place still.

No, this boy wasn't Sam. His name was Lucas, but it seemed that no one else knew that. He had awaken on the sand of a beach, in an unfamiliar area, where many strange people lingered.

Lucas hurried to the boardwalk, hoping to find a police officer or any kind person. But he wasn't expecting this!

Truthfully, Lucas has never felt more afraid in his life. Who was this scary looking teenager kneeling before him? And worst, his friends looked ever scarier!

This was worst than getting a concussion while trying to impress Maggie during the football game!

What was he going to do?

author's note
Out of impulse, despite having so many stories, I published this. I've talked to Meagan, Lila, and Sarah about all these crazy crossover ideas of The Lost Boys characters meeting their movie counterparts.

I apologize for anyone being OOC, spelling errors, and  grammar/punctuation errors. I wrote this whole chapter on my phone.

I hoped you enjoyed! Please send in any suggestions of any the boys (Michael, the Lost Boys, Sam, or the Frog bros) meeting their counterparts from other movies!
