Did y'all pick up on what Nash said?
I saw it.
And I saw that Ambra shrugged it off.
But I know Nash.
And that's not the way he jokes.
Nash kept glancing at us, sneaking jokes, almost like what was happening to Ambra was funny.
I knew he knew.
"It's Nash" I whispered to her.
"What?"
"Nash is the one who knows"
"He's just joking"
"No. He's fucking with us. I can see it. He keeps looking at you and laughing."
"Nash isn't like that"
"I don't think he's meaning to be an asshole....but he is"
"We don't even know if that's what he's doing. Maybe we're looking to hard for something that isn't there"
"No. He's acting weird"
"Of course he is. He's Nash"
"No. He's acting weirder than normal."
"I did kinda notice that..."
"I'll take care of it"
"I think I've proven by now I can handle myself" she whispered, laughing.
"You have. But I wanna take this one"
"Why? Cause you're a man?"
"No. Cause he's pissing me off so much right now. I thought you were the one with the anger issues" I whispered and we both laughed.
"I'm just really calm and sad right now"
"Calm and sad? Common. We can work on this together"
"How? This is gonna follow me around forever"
"....yea."
"Wow. Thanks"
I laughed.
"Ok. I'll be back" I sighed, getting up.
"Nash, can you help me real quick in the kitchen?"
He smiled. "Sure"
We walked in the kitchen.
"What'd you-"
"Ok, what the hell is wrong with you?"
"What?"
"I know you have Ambra's test. It's kinda creepy, you just having it on you"
Nash sighed. "What test?"
"Her pregnancy test"
"Woah, she's pregnant?"
I ran my hands through my hair.
Fuck. Oh fuck.
"No. Yes. Well-"
"I'm kidding. I do have it. I know"
"Ok, that's effin creepy"
"Are you the father?"
"I mean it's possible, but most likely....no"
"Aw, feel bad for you" he said, but laughed.
"Shut the fuck up. We're you gonna tell her you have it or just walk around for eternity with a stick that has her piss on it?"
"Look. I'm not a creep. I was gonna tell her. I didn't have the chance yet"
"Ok, well, you should stay outta this"
"And you're in this?"
"I'm in....everything. I'm always involved"
"Of course you are. You're in love with her"
"Ok, shut the hell up. Now, go give it to her"
"Maybe I should tell Matt. He deserves to know since he's, I don't know, her brother. I hope if this happened to you, you'd tell me"
I scoffed. "As of now, never happening"
He fake frowned.
"Let her tell everyone when she wants to. This is gonna affect her whole life. Can you just give her that?"
He handed me the test.
"Fine. Stay in the friend zone while you're at it"
