"Summer?"

The word stirred me from my thoughts. I hadn't heard that name in a while. I'd become so used to Christine. I looked up from my fries, which I'd been poking at for the past few minutes.

"Summer." He said again but more compassionately. "You've hardly touched your fries, and you've hardly talked to me for the past hour. Are you feeling ok?"

"Yes," I said giving him a small smile-it wasn't entirely false. I was ok for the most part. My thoughts had just been consumed by the recent encounter in my dressing room. "I'm just tired that's all. Sorry..."

"Don't be, I understand." A somewhat awkward silence followed.

"Ethan," I began, slightly unsure of myself. "If I told you something, um... odd... would you think I were crazy?"

"No?... Summer, I already know you're crazy. Nothing will change that, I promise." He smirked at me, quite proud of his comment.

"Oh shut up." I said, laughing lightly. "You know what I mean."

"Yes I do. And no, I won't think you're any more crazy than you already are." He laughed, again proud of himself.

"Ethan!" I laughed and threw a fry at him. "Why do you keep calling me Summer?"

"Cause that's your name."

I glared at him playfully. "I know that, but we've been calling everyone by their stage names."

"You've been calling me Ethan."

"Only because you called me Sum--"

"I like Summer better." He interrupted.

I hesitated. He liked my name better? I've always found 'Christine' more appealing. I took a moment to consider his response before replying, "Thank you." I finally said, blushing slightly.

"You're welcome. Now, what is it that you wanted to tell me, O Crazy one?"

"Nothing... I just wanted to know if you'd think I was crazy if I told you something stupid."

"You said odd before."

"Does it matter?"

"You tell me..."

We looked at each other for a few moments, each of us trying to read the other's mind. After a minute of this we both just started laughing.

We carried a somewhat normal conversation after that, but my mind still lingered on the dressing room, and what mysteries could lay behind the mirror.
