midnight runs
skinny love
a love letter to lust
tea
three twenty four am
anticipation
first
crushed
walls
"so, what are we?"
to fall
how to fall in love
flow
bedtime stories
dizzy
not that kind of person
fleur sauvage
forget my eyes
how to write
everything we never were
hello
distance
thirteen things i don't have the courage to say to you
goodbyes are for suckers
manquer
five things i hate about you
11:11
the last thing i will ever write about you
words
forgiveness
fresh
infidelity
ready
the way you make me feel
bad chinese
airplanes
winter farewell
dancing with our future
when love isn't enough
back
goodbye, i will always love you

fresh rose glitter is sprayed on the surface of my freckling skin
and liquid toxic gold gently laces my whispered words
from where hesitant peach pastels colour my flimsy brassieres
nibble on my broken bits of intriguing sadness till you forget your fears

my bruised bones are nothing but misshapen bits of weathered tawny sawdust
my smooth flesh is a web of delicate yellow strands tied from my hair to my wrists
my inconstantly glinting or watering charcoal eyes are unwanted remnants of powdery cigarette ash
i don't blink for i am terrified you'll vanish in a flash

the blood flowing through my distinct pale green veins is concentrated cranberries
the tangled hairs on my maelstrom mind are coal black threads of torn nerve fibres
the roughly touched skin swallowing me is light brown parchment paper
this mystique temple of body is an abandoned museum and you are devastatingly the carnivorous breaker

i am slowly melting popsicles on an apricot summer day
licked to reduction, i sizzle and pop like fizz
i am the silk of a cocoon unraveling and pearl
spun to barely present slim air flying in fluid twirls

dust taverns of mud covered mortality cages my ribs
born to dance amongst the stars and please the angels
which is why i know as i lay on your palace of olympian heaven
i make you feel like a young god within

i guess that was where we went off the burning metal rails
you needed me to place liquorice kisses in your saturated salt mouth
and after your cherry red darting tongue had licked the sugar off
the tantalising taste of my ethereal beauty was lost

but my sculpted figure is dragonfly wings and flakes of grains and i am a dandelion
buoyed by the translucent wind with bone crushing power
i disintegrate and fall like a shower of cream promises broken and me - unloved
and i fall onto your paintbrush-soft eyelashes like a wish but you brush me off like mud

i am paper thin
enchanting to look at
and an enigma of art
but i am   f a l l i n g   a p a r t

a little bit wild with a tint of crazy
daring, sanguine and intoxicating
a riddle a dance a fleeting mystery
but really just a   l i a b i l i t y

thinking of starting a series of poems based on songs. this is liability by lorde and honestly i love this song so much. this poetry is also a little sadder (and more real?) i was being frighteningly honest while writing it. so. sorry if it's not exactly a love poem but more a poem of why I can't love or be loved. lol. that got too deep. lmao. bye.
