"ugh who the fuck?" Dillon groaned as the knocks on the door woke us both up
We had gotten back from visiting Athena at the hospital a couple hours ago and since we were both too exhausted we fell asleep on the couches.
"ignore it" I said as my eyes started to get heavy again

"aight who the fuck is at the door!" Dillon yelled angrily
He got up from his couch and stormed towards the door to see who it was.

"Danielle? Donovan? What the fuck ya'll doing here at three in the morning?" He said opening the door wide so two figures could walk in
Mind you I just opened my eyes so my vision was a little blurred but when my vision got clear again I was speechless. If these were Dillon and Damien's cousins then I officially can come to the conclusion that no one in their family is ugly, especially the boy that stood in front of me.
"cuz who's this?" He asked as if I wasn't sitting here
"this is Adonis, it's complicated" Dillon explained
"well then let me uncomplicate things" His cousin said with a smirk
"no he's off limits" Dillon said looking at me "Adonis these are my cousins, unfortunately. Danielle and Donovan"

"you didn't answer my question. why are you guys here, especially at three?" Dillon asked laying back down on the couch
"Well Donovan has a week off for spring break so we decided to come spend it with our favorite cousins. where's Damien?" Danielle asked
"he's momentarily not living here" Dillon answered
"why did you guys get into an argument or something?" Danielle asked taking a seat next to me
"something like that" Dillon said looking at me
"oh, I see" She responded
"you're very cute the by way" Danielle said turning to look at me

"how old are you?" She asked in a sweet voice as if I'm some sort of child
I turned to look at Dillon, wondering if I should tell the truth or lie but he nodded his head so I guess the truth it is.
"I'm seventeen" I responded
"oh you look younger than your age, I would've guessed fourteen. no offense by the way" She said causing the boys to chuckle
"nah it's okay, I get that a lot" I sighed
"well I'm twenty and my brother here is eighteen. I guess you are a junior?" She asked
"nah senior, went to kindergarten early"
"oh, your in the same grade as Donovan here"
"okay well can we continue this meet and greet later, during business hours please?" Dillon said closing his eyes and falling asleep
"well where are we sleeping?" Donovan asked
"upstairs, down the hall and to the left. sleep in my room for now" He said
"goodnight" Danielle said then took her bag and headed upstairs
"night" Donovan said with a wink before following her

I woke up to the most satisfying smell ever. I sat up from the couch and looked behind me to see Donovan in the kitchen chefin' it up. He cooks too. "you like french toast?" He asked

A date? It must be with that guy that was over the other day, I never got the chance to ask about him.

"she's went shopping, it's just me and you beau" He responded
"what does that mean?" I asked curiously

He grabbed two plates from the cabinets and placed one in front of me. He started to serve me some french toast, and strawberries, but when he got to the bacon he stopped.
"you're not vegetarian are you?" He said looking hesitant
"hell nah, I love my meats" I said realizing after how wrong it sounded
"okay..." He said followed by a chuckle
After he was done making a plate for each of us he sat down and we began to eat.
"so you and Dillon...?"
"no, no. well we kinda both liked each other but now we're step-brother's so whatever was there can't go on"
"oooh, so you're the son of Chris. Dillon's father was talking to our mother about the wedding just the other day"
"yeah" I said awkwardly
"and you and Damien?" He asked with a smirk
"what about Damien and I?"
"oh come on, I can smell him all over you"
"there is no me and Damien, he made that clear" I said looking down at my food.
"oh. so you're single?" He asked
"yeah, why?"

We finished eating in silence after that. I offered to do the dishes, you know since he cooked and everything, but he insisted on doing it so I let him.
So I walked upstairs to my room to get my towel and go take a shower. I didn't get to shower last night because like I said we got home late from the hospital and we were too tired to do anything.
I got out of my clothes then wrapped my towel around my waist. I grabbed my phone and headed to the bathroom right across the hall. I stripped out of the towel then connected my phone to the shower speaker, can't be having no dull showers.

There was no response though but the music stopped playing. I was beginning to get scared until the shower curtain open and Donovan walked in butt ass naked.

We continued to shower, cleaning up the dirt and sweat. Occasionally he would kiss me or wrap his arms around me and just stand under the water together. It was honestly nice, to have someone there for me like this in a time of need.
After thirty more minute of making out in the shower we both went our separate ways to our room to get dressed up.

Once I was done getting dressed I made my way downstairs to see Donovan chilling in the living room watching Netflix. Might I add that he was only in his boxer briefs.
"what you watching?" I asked taking a seat next to him
"shameless" He responded without looking away from the screen

"yeah, what up?" He asked pausing the show
"earlier that was nice but-"

It was now nighttime and we had just cooked up some ravioli for dinner, now we're waiting for Dillon to come home.
Just as we gave up waiting and were about to start eating the front door open and he walked in.
"finally we've been waiting for you" Danielle said
"sorry I got caught up. Adonis can we talk real quick?" He said pointing up the stairs

"if this is about Donovan then-"
"no Adonis it's not. As for Donovan, Adonis you're young and single so have fun. I'm happy for you, and I'm not just saying that to say it, I honestly am. You've been through hell these past few weeks and if Donovan is what you need to take your mind of things then by all means go ahead. but don't give up on my brother though, I know he'll come back. He just needs some time right now"
"what did we need to talk about?" I asked purposely ignoring the last part
"Chris, what are we gonna do about him?" He asked looking worried
"what can we do honestly?"
"turn him in?" Dillon asked
"nah that wouldn't work, if Athena won't tell the truth about what happened then turning him in won't do anything." I said remembering that from one of the law books I've read
"so then what, we let her live with the abuser?"
"Dillon you don't know how bad I feel about this situation. She came to me for help and I just told her to go tell him. I told her he wouldn't hurt her, and she knew that was a lie but she went anyways. I really thought he would hear her out, be the good father he claims to be. It's all my fault"
"no it's not, she came to the both of us for help and we let her down. but honestly how could we put that responsibility on ourselves. I can't take someone's daughter or someones baby mother to go get an abortion. What right do I have to do that?" He asked, and he was right
"yeah well an abortion sound good right now. Either ways the baby died, at least it would've been her choice and she wouldn't have been beat"
"so what now?"
"I don't know Dillon, I really don't know"
