I was enjoying my peaceful slumber when I heard loud knocks on my door waking me up.
"what!" I yelled refusing to get up from bed
The door swung open and in came the two most annoying people on earth and my new friend. India, Dom and Tyler.
"what are you guys doing here this early in the morning?" I asked rolling over to the side
"Adonis it's 12:47pm" India said jumping on me
"like I said, what are you guys doing here this early in the morning?"
"we haven't seen you in so long and we missed you" She said wrapping her arms around me
"India you saw me at school yesterday" I said trying to pry her off of me
"that was 'My mom is dead' Adonis, we miss our best friend Adonis. so we're here to take you out on a fun day, to you know get you in the mood. at least before the funeral tomorrow"
"ugh but that means I gotta get out of bed, and shower, and dress up" I groaned
"yes it does"
"can't we just stay in and watch a movie or something, I don't feel like going out"
"nigga get your ass out of that bed before I make you" Dom threatened
"can I at least know where we're going?" I asked
"nope" Tyler said with a smile
"why do I keep you guys around?" I asked as I dragged myself out of bed
"because you love us, now go clean that ass" India said smacking my ass
I grabbed my towel then went to the bathroom to take a shower and brush my teeth. My stomach was growling, trying to warn me that I was hungry. Last night I didn't really eat anything, recently I haven't been in the mood for food which I know is surprising. With all that's been going on I just don't feel like food will make up for it.
Expecting them to be in the living room , I walked back into my room butt ass naked with my towel wrapped around my hair to dry. To my surprise they were all chilling on my bed waiting for me. Seeing me naked wasn't an issue for India and Dom because we used to play around naked when we were younger, but Tyler's face got red and he quickly looked away.
"why the fuck ya'll still in my room?" I asked not even trying to cover myself up.
"cause I didn't want to be downstairs with your friend" Dom said rolling his eyes
"He's really not bad, he'll at least pretend to be nice" I said as I looked through my closet for some clothes
"are you kidding me, the nigga almost closed the door in my face earlier" He said causing India and I to laugh
"well who's fault is that, you the one who was rude to him first" I said putting on my boxers
"I don't know what you're talking about, he's mad nice to me" India said
"yeah well I don't like the guy"
"good because I don't like you either" Dillon said barging into my room
"were you...were you eavesdropping?" I asked
"no I came to tell you something, just happened to do it while someone was talking shit" He said grilling the shit out of Dom
"what's up?"
"nevermind, it can wait. have fun" He said turning to leave
After he left I continued to get dressed. When I was done I said bye to Dillon then we left. When we arrived downstairs there was a nice ass limo parked out front.
"who ever that's for is lit" I commented
"I guess we're lit" Tyler said opening the door
My eyes grew wide and my mouth dropped.
"where the fuck are we going that you got a limo?" I asked
"no where special, I just like to ride lavishly" He said with a smirk
Okay this dude has issues, but I don't give a fuck. We all got into the beautiful ass limo, which by the way is beautiful if I didn't mention that. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to say, it's fucking beautiful.
"okay well can we at least get something to eat before we go wherever?" I asked as my stomach growled
"that's actually destination number one on our list, come Adonis we know you better than anyone" India chuckled
The whole ride we were blasting music and singing out loud in our terrible voices, expect Tyler who had an amazing singing voice.
"does it make me a hoe if I post this flick?" Dom asked showing us a picture on his phone
"nigga what is wrong with you, of course it'll make you a hoe. not like you're not one already" I said staring at the picture of my very good looking best friend
"yeah you're right. so post it I guess" He said then hit the post button
We continued to sing random songs on the radio until we finally made a stop at Checkers, one of my favorite places to eat. I knew Dom had to be the one to suggest this because he's the only person that knows about my Checkers addiction.
"oh it's fucking lit" I said hopping out of the car
You best believe I ordered a lot, and best of all I wasn't the one paying.
"Adonis, whens the last time you ate?" India asked with concern in her voice
"thurs-wait no I think wednesday, why?" I asked as I inhaled my chicken wings
"Adonis!" She said shaking her head
"what? I'm fine" I said looking up at her
"are you though?"
"yes I'm fine, I promise" I responded
We continued to eat our food, me more than the others of course. I couldn't help but notice though, that Tyler was strangely quiet as we talked. Not as in a shy or nervous way but like his mind was on something else.
"you good Ty?" Dom asked noticing as well
"huh? oh yeah" He replied coming back to his senses
"aight well we off to destination two" Dom said standing up
We cleaned up then headed back to the limo. This time they insisted that I should be blindfolded for where we were headed. Apparently it held sentimental value or some bullshit like that.
"is it the zoo?" I guessed
"Adonis you hate the zoo" India said with obviousness in her voice
"no I hate the smell of the zoo, you hate the zoo" I replied
"but you're the one that always peed yourself every time an animal came close to you"
"it's not the zoo" Dom said cutting us off
"okay, is it the aquarium?" I asked
"it has nothing to do with animals"
"are we going to that place that India has been talking about, you know with the whips?" I asked feeling a blush on my cheeks
"oh hell no, and India you need new kinds of kinks" Dom said in disgust
"the red house, I love that place" I couldn't see her but I could tell she had a bright smile as she said that
"we're here so you can stop guessing" Dom said in annoyance
I felt a pair of hands hold me on both sides as they led me out of the car. I was nervous because for all I know they could be selling me to the devil or something.
"I know it's not everything, but it's where it all started" Dom said then removed the blindfold
When the blindfold was completely a wide smile grew on my face. They brought me to an indoor paintball venue, and not just any indoor paintball venue. You see India, Dom and I did meet in third grade, but it wasn't until our fifth grade trip to indoor paintball that we actually grew closer.
We fell in love with the game that we'd be here every friday, from fifth till seventh grade. It was an us thing, something that always seemed to bring us closer together. But then later on the three of us started to drift apart, mainly I did. Nothing happened but we just didn't have the friendship anymore, at least with me. India and Dom still talked occasionally, but not like before. Until we got to highschool and became best friends again.
"oh I see, you just wanted to get your ass beat again huh?" I asked with a smirk
"nigga stop talking hot 'fo I gotta school you so bad you running home to mommy" He said with a smile that fell instantly after he said it
"oh shit...I'm sorry" He said covering his mouth with his hand
"nah it's good, I'm still getting used to it myself" I replied "anyways let's go so I can buss some ass"
We got in and paid for three rounds, which is usually is about ten minutes each. Since it's indoor paintball they use balls not actual paint, but the balls hurt as fuck so I try not to let them hit me.
"okay, a vest for you and is there anyone here younger than sixteen?" Our host asked handing a bullet proof vest to India
After we all shook our head 'no' he then led us to the "battleground".
"okay grab a mask and a gun and proceed to go in" He instructed
I grabbed a blue mask and a black gun and walked in. The gun was already loaded with little rubber balls, and the floor was showered in balls all around. Once everyone got there gun and walked in the host followed behind with a mask on his face and a clear body shield.
"okay here is how this round is gonna go, since there's an even number we'll do teams. Rule one, you get hit you're eliminated, no exceptions, unless it on the mask. Rule two, you aim at someone's face you're eliminated. and finally rule three, have fun" He said
"Adonis me and you?" India asked
"bet" I said
India and I ran to the back while Dom and Tyler went the other direction. There were big round plush things, I don't know what they're called, that we were allowed to use for protection.
"On your mark. Get set. Go!"
Right after 'Go' balls were flying everywhere. You see I like to use a special technique, it's called firing when I actually have the target in sight. Dom just likes to shoot randomly, which does help but it wastes balls so then you gotta stop and crawl around the floor picking them up.
India was standing up firing directly at Dom so I guess I had to take out Tyler. I got on my knees and crawled behind the shield thing, peeking from it to see Tyler looking all around for me.
Being on my spy shit I crawled all the way to his side without him even noticing and when I had him in reach I shot him right in the side.
"Fuck!" He yelped clutching onto his side
"Eliminated!" The host yelled
Tyler stook up the middle finger then ran off to the safe zone. Now it's just India and I against Dom, just how it used to be. You would think that because there are two of us and one of him we'd win but that's not the case. He always finds some way of getting me out first knowing that India is not hard to elimnate.
I crawled back to my side, having to look back every second in case Dom tried to hit me. Once I got back I hid behind our shield, with India standing and firing.
"You have to surrender" I whispered to her
Without asking why or anything she dropped her gun and went into an open space and took the balls like a woman should.
"Eliminated!"
"I fucking know!" India yelled as she walked over to the safe zone
The one flaw Dom makes when he plays paintball is that he stays in one position. So I just need to get to his position without him seeing me. Which meant I had to do something risky.
Even though it's technically against the rules, I took off my mask and laid it on top of the shield. That way it would look like I was hiding behind it. When I saw Dom start firing I started to crawl around, trying my best to stay low to the ground so he wouldn't see me.
Once I was near his position I laid there until I heard one important sound, silence. That meant he was out of balls to shoot. That's when I jumped up and aimed for him, only to realize he was just playing me.
We both stared at each other then shot at the same time. Mine technically hit him first but only by a millisecond.
"Tie!" The host yelled
My arm, where I got shot, was on fire right now. They deceive you into thinking the small round rubber balls don't hurt, but when launched at that speed you might as well shoot me with a bb gun.
After that round we played two more. One where there was a flag in the middle and which ever team got it won, which happened to be Tyler and Dom. Then we played freestyle, where it was every man for himself, India surprisingly won that one.
"nah thank you guys so much for this. ya'll really brought up my mood, I haven't had this much fun in a while. I love you guys" I said as we walked out of the building
"don't thank us yet, we have one more activity to get your mind of things" Dom said with a smirk
Curious, we got in the limo and they all had smirks on their face.
"what?" I asked
"you finna bout to get high as a motherfucka" Dom said pulling out a whole ounce of weed from under his seat
And not just any weed, purp my nigga. My eyes lit up at India pulled out some paper and started to roll it up.
"you guys are deadass the best for today, I really needed someone and instead I got three someones" I said with a smile stretching across my face
"we always will be here for you, it's our job. now let go of all your problems" India said handing me the lit blunt
I smiled then put it in between my lips, taking a long drag. I haven't done this in a while, after just one hit I could feel the high already coming on. I passed the blunt to Tyler then exhaled.
