The Best Part of Believe is the Lie

Benzedrine and Horse Shoe Crab passed us

"Darn it! They are in first now!" Sandman yelled. He snapped his fingers and a black cloud appeared above Benzedrine's car.

"What are you going to do?" I wondered

"Just watch" He snapped his fingers again and lighting hit the car causing it to spin out of control.

"Are they ok?!" I asked worried

"They are fine" Sandman looked over at me and his eyes black

"Sandman! Your eyes!"

He put one of this hands on his head but continued driving. We passed Benzedrine's car and it started up again.

"They are right behind us" I told Sandman

Sandman just smiled then our car shut off and so did Benzedrine's

"What the?!" Sandman hit the horn causing it to beep

I laughed "I don't think hitting a horn will make it turn on"

Horse Shoe Crab got of the car and Benzedrine followed. They walked up to our car.

Benzedrine gasped "Sandman we need to get home your dark side is out"

"Is that why you stopped the cars?" Sandman asked

"We didn't do that" Horse Shoe Crab said

"I did" A man said from down the street. He was big and wore a blue suit with a blue tie to match. He looked like he was in his late 40's. Me and Sandman got out of the car.

"That's the mayor" Horse Shoe Crab whispered. Benzedrine motioned for Sandman to stay behind him.

"How is everything boys?" The mayor asked

"Great. How about you?" Benzedrine responded

"Lovely. I don't believe I know you" He said towards me

"I'm Tiffany Blews" I told him

The mayor nodded and shook my hand

"We have to go. Sandman has work" Horse Shoe Crab started walking away

When the mayor was finally out of site Benzedrine let out a sigh. "Bad timing" He put his head down

"What are you talking about?" I questioned

"The mayor doesn't like Sandman's dark side. He thinks it make this place look evil. You see the mayor wants this place to look happy and look like nothing bad happens here" Benzedrine explained

"There once was a time when a lot of bad things were going on" Sandman started to say. His eyes were back to normal

"Sandman, we are not aloud to talk about that stuff or that time" Benzedrine cut Sandman off

"Fine. Anyway the mayor got mad at me when I stopped going to the Invisable Man because my dark side came out again. You remember the story."

I nodded "Yeah I do"

"Sandman told the mayor that his dark side was gone and he believed him" Horse Shoe Crab said

"But it was a lie" Benzedrine added

"Well I had to lie or else he would have sent me to the normal world and erased my memory of this place" Sandman explained

I started getting worried "Are you guys going to do that to me? I want to remember you guys and this place"

"No we wouldn't do that to you" Sandman said coming over and hugged me "I have to go deliver dreams. Want to come and you can see your friends?" He asked me

"Of course!" I smiled

Sandman wrapped his arms around me. It started to get really bright and and closed my eyes. When I opened him again we were in Pete's room.
