"So are you sure you want to do this?" Linds asked.
"Yeah I mean no family meeting just asking my close friends for help."
"Um actually I meant if you were sure about moving in with Matt."
I nodded.
"Really sure?"
"Yeah," I said softly.
"What's wrong then?"
"It's just I feel kind of like I'm cheating on Jimmy."
"Why? I mean you are just moving in with him right now....or did something happen?" she asked with a grin.
"No, nothing yet but sometimes it's an almost happening and I mean it's not like these occassional nights have been the first time Matt and I shared a bed but...."
"It's different now?"
"Yeah...when he holds me I feel safe like I used to with Jimmy."
"Just safe?"
"No...I feel..."
"Cherished? Loved? Provided for? Protected?"
"All of the above and more. It's so confusing."
"You're developing feelings for him."
"Obviously."
"No I mean serious, let's settle down into a committed relationship feelings. Not just oh you're cute I have a crush on you feelings. Don't you remember the butterflies when you and Jimmy started dating?"
"I didn't really have butterflies, and what is in my stomach now are more like bats than butterflies."
She laughed. "You'll be alright."
I nodded. We placed everything on the table as Matt and Johnny came back in leading the hungry. Everyone settled down and dug into their food. I waited until the guys started on a second helping.
"So Brian, Zacky...I know you guys just moved Val..."
"We aren't moving her back," Zacky said around a mouthfull of potatoes.
"Zachary Baker don't talk with your mouth full!" I scolded. "Now what I was saying is I would appreciate it if you guys could help me move this weekend too."
"Sure," Brian said, "but I thought you guys were just moving where one of the nurseries were gonna be?" He took a sip of his beer.
"Um well actually..." I felt Matt's hand cover mine.
"She's moving in with me."
Brian choked on his drink and set his bottle down. Chelle patted him on the back. Johnny had dropped his fork onto his plate.
"You are doing what?" He asked me.
"I'm moving in with Matt." I said keeping my voice even and low.
"The hell you are."
"She's an adult Christ."
"Matt you stay the hell out of this! In fact why don't you..."
"If you tell him to get out I'm leaving with him." I yelled at Johnny.
The entire table got quiet.
"You wouldn't."
"Try me."
He looked at me and then Matt.
"I don't want you here or anywhere near my sister."
I stood up still holding Matt's hand.
"Come on Matt we aren't wanted here."
"Sis.."
"I just need to get a few things and I'll be ready."
"Katie..." Johnny tried again.
Linds was visibly upset. I made my way upstairs quickly and shoved all my vitamins, my ipod, phone and a couple of changes of clothes in my overnight bag. I went back down to find Matt at the door.
"Kathy you don't have to do this," he said softly. I handed him my bag.
"I'll be right back don't you dare think of leaving without me."
I made my way back into the kitchen. I hugged Linds.
"You know where to find me if you need me hun and I promise I'll call as soon as I'm settled in tonight."
"Katie don't be ridiculous..."
"Johnny shut up. You are the one being ridiculous. I'm twenty five. I'm old enough to make my own decisions. Matt asked me a simple question and I considered it and gave him my answer. If you can't respect that then please just don't talk to me." I hugged Linds again.
"Sorry for ruining dinner," I whispered to her before I rejoined Matt in the hall.
"Are you..."
"Yes Matt let's go."
"I was going to say..."
"I know what you were going to say and yes I'm sure. Now can we go?"
He nodded. We got in his car and he put my bag in the back seat. The drive to his house was quiet. I would be lying if I said I wasn't slightly nervous.
Matt pulled into his garage and shut the door behind us. I bit my lip as I got out of the car. Matt grabbed my bag and led me into his kitchen. Having helped Val many times over the years with cleaning and decorating I knew my way around the house still I paused in the kitchen.
"Val didn't take anything yet. She said to leave it all here and she'd get it when she got her own place. She didn't want to crowd Zacky with boxes of unused appliances and dishes."
I just nodded feeling slightly awkward.
"Are you still hungry?"
I shook my head no.
"I'll put your things in the master bedroom. I can take the guest room across the hall."
"No, please...I don't want to be alone."
"Ok..." Matt said. I followed him up to his bedroom and watched him put my things in the closet that used to belong to Val.
"You ok?"
"Yeah...it's just strange...."
I turned back to the bed and I felt him hug me from behind wrapping his arms around me and resting his hands on my baby bump.
"Are you sure you want to do this?"
I nodded.
I felt him kiss my head.
"If it gets to awkward let me know. We can go to another room."
"Is it going to be awkward for you?"
"It's different but not in a bad way. I like having you and the twins here. It makes this place feel more like home than it has in a long while."
I felt his kisses trail down behind my ear and onto my neck. I tilted my head to give him better access whimpering when he took advantage of that to lave my soft spot before nipping it. I could feel a blush rising in my cheeks as my body responded boldy to Matt's attentions.

I moaned as one hand cupped my pregnancy senstive breast while the other slid up under my shirt to caress my baby bump. I let myself get lost in the wonderful sensations Matt was creating not even paying attention when my shirt loosened or dropped nor when my jeans were cast aside. I felt my bra loosen as Matt pressed kisses to my shoulder blade. The bra slipped away the lace scraping my skin and giving me goosebumps as Matt's hands came up fondle me. I felt one kick and then two. I gasp.
"Kathy?" Matt said freezing.
"The twins...."
"Is everything alright?"

I felt his fingers hook in the top of my panties and I just closed my eyes. My heart was pounding a million miles a minute. I wasn't sure what to expect. I shook my head. I felt his hands start to move away and I reached out and grabbed his wrists.

I felt Matt lift me and then I felt my back against the sheets on the bed. I opened my eyes shyly and looked at Matt. He had shed his clothes down to his boxers after laying me in the bed. He laid down beside me.

I bit my lip and looked deep into his hazel eyes so filled with love.

I did as he said and I felt the bed shift. Then I heard a click and music filled the room softly. Not Avenged though....Pinkly Smooth. My heart went out when I heard Jimmy's voice. I could feel the tears starting to build. I tried to open my eyes only to feel kisses pressed to them. I gave up on opening them and just laid back listening to Jimmy's voice as those same lips brushed across my skin. First at my neck and then my shoulders, down my chest and down over my baby bump. As soon as he could move he rolled us over so I was on top of him. I smiled gently. It was an awkward moment honestly. I had never had a lover other than Jimmy and though I knew there had been cheating on both sides of the relationship with him and Val I knew it had been a long time since either had been with another person.
"Thank you," I whispered looking into his hazel eyes before I dropped my gaze and brushed my lips against his sweat covered chest again.
"I love you Kathy," he whispered against my temple. I ran my fingertips down his back gently stroking him. I felt him place a kiss to my temple. Pinkly Smooth was still playing in the background and I realized he must've put every cd he could find in the stereo. We fell asleep to the music and the sound of each other's heartbeat.

I was vaguely mortified to realize that I had never called Linds the night before. Matt was downstairs handling a delivery of paint and various paint related things while I took a shower. I called Linds when I was done.
"Hey sorry I didn't get around to calling last night."
"It's alright." Her voice was smug. "I take it you did get settled in though?"
"Uh yeah..." I said staring at the patches of little red bumps from Matt's five o'clock shadow.
"Oh that doesn't sound good."
"No it's....well if you come pick me up I'll tell you everything."
"Deal but only if we come back here. Johnny wants to apologize to you and Matt."
"Matt won't be with me."
"Right but he can apologize to him later can't he?"
I nodded, then realized she couldn't see me.
"Yeah..."
"Alright I'll be there in a few."
We hung up and I grabbed my overnight bag. I put everything in it and carried it downstairs. I saw Matt's concerned look when he saw me with the bag. I walked over to him and kissed him. I still felt guilty as he kissed me back.
"You alright babe?" he asked when he broke the kiss a few minutes later.
"Yeah....I just wanted to check on Linds and she said Johnny wants to apologize. I thought I should probably stay there for a night or two while the painting's being done just to avoid the paint fumes."
He nodded and pulled me close holding me.
"Kathy about last night...."
I kissed him.
I heard a discreet cough from the doorway and turned to see a beaming Lindsay. I blushed.
"Sorry Matt I'm going to steal her for a little while."
He nodded.
"Oh girls the first class is tonight at seven."
"Thanks Matt." Linds called back over her shoulder as she dragged me out to her car.
"Oh my god! One night alone and that's all it took?" she shrieked as we buckled up.
"What..."
"Oh don't play dumb with me Katie. You and Matt had sex!"
I blushed.
"Now....details!" She said pulling out of the drive. I laughed and filled her in on last nights events during the drive. She parked in our drive. Or I guess I should now say her and Johnny's drive and said wow.
"Wow?" I asked amused.
"That's like all I can say right now. That man must really love you."
"Do you think the feeling of cheating will ever go away?"
She nodded. "Just give it time."
We walked into the house and Johnny and Zacky were sitting on the couch with a beer and Brian was still passed out in a chair it appeared from last night, a bottle of Jack at his feet.
"Sis...I'm sorry. Please say you'll move back in. Hell Matt can even move in here temporarily."
I raised an eyebrow.
"I am back until the weekend because the nursery still needs to be painted and then I'll be moving in with Matt permanently."
"Sis...come on..."
"Johnny, I'm not angry anymore it just makes sense ok?"
"How?"
"Matt wants to raise the twins. If we are going to be a family I will be living with him."
"He...really wants to raise them?" Johnny said looking unsure.
I nodded.
"So he's going to like adopt them?" he asked me.
I shrugged. "I'm not sure how I feel about that yet."
He nodded seeming kind of numb.
"You don't have to do this you know."
"I know that bro but it is time that I move out. You and Linds are starting your own family shortly after mine arrive and we're all gonna need some space. It doesn't mean that we'll love each other any less."
"Yeah I know. I guess I just don't know when we all went and got so damn grown up and mature."
Linds snorted and I bit my lip.
"Hey! I am to mature."
We all laughed Zacky included.
