Don't you just love it when your business drivers are either band parents, or former band kids. They are always the friendliest bus drivers and they are always so excited to take you places.
I'm currently on the bus with one and he said he can't wait to hear us preform. He also has a lot of energy and excitement for having to haul around a bunch of teenagers early in the morning.
One time we had this bus driver who was so uptight. She wouldn't let us utter a word. There also wasn't enough seats for our equipment and us, so we put some trombones in the back row. That was also against the rules for some reason. If we'd known that we wouldn't have access to some seats on the bus we would have gotten another bus. She was also against us putting stuff in the under bus storage. Maybe she was just having a rough day, but our band director called the bus company and asked that we never have her again.
I have plenty more bus stories, because everything interesting happens on the bus. Shoot I'm breaking the what happens on the band bus stays on the band bus rule.
