I hugged Mamu after the wedding ceremony because I felt so happy for Ate Yra.
"I've heard that the grandmother of the groom has a special message for the newlywed couple" biglang sabi nung pari tsaka naman pumunta sa harap si Madam Athena
"Let's congratulate this lovely couple by giving them a big round of applause!" sabi agad ni Madam Athena kaya naman nagpalakpakan lahat ng tao dito sa wedding hall
"I'm so thankful because my dear Yra accepted my grandson Ryle as her husband, even though this man is very playful and annoying" sabi ulit niya kaya naman natawa kaming lahat dito
"Can I ask if you know that old lady, Mamu?" tanong ko kay Mamu tapos tumango siya
"Of course I know her! She's the best friend of your Lola Pia" sagot naman niya na siyang kinagulat ko
"If I'm not mistaken, I think it's already been 50 years since our friendship started with the Ferrer family, and because of that friendship, our strong partnership is still growing" sabi ulit ni Madam Athena habang naka tayo sa harapan
"Actually, many of you think that this marriage happened just to make the partnership between our families stronger. But let me be clear to everyone that this marriage happened because these two loved each other, and this marriage is only a way to keep the friendship between our families last forever" sabi ulit ni Madam Athena kaya naman biglang natahimik yung mga tao dito
She's the best friend of Lola Pia? Is that why she keeps acting like that? Because she knows my grandmother.
Lola Pia is the mother of my mom.
I don't really remember Lola Pia. All I know is that Lolo and Lola passed away a few weeks before I started attending nursery school.
"Buti nalang talaga mag bestfriend itong si Yra at Ryle kaya hindi na rin kami nahirapan na sabihin sa kanila. Noon ngang sinabi namin na ikakasal sila ay kami pa nga yung nagulat kasi hindi talaga sila nagalit. Paano nga naman sila magagalit eh may feelings naman pala talaga sila para sa isa't isa na matagal na nilang itinatago. "Since today is a great and perfect day, can I call my youngest grandson here in front?" sabi niya ulit tapos may isang lalaki na biglang tumayo at laking gulat ko nalang dahil yun yung mayabang na driver

"Before I end this speech and go back to my seat, I want to announce something very important" sabi ulit Madam Athena kaya naman tumahimik ang lahat
"Can I call my dear Ysabel here in front too?" sabi niya ulit na siya namang ikinagulat nang lahat at lalong lalo na ako
"Why is that old lady calling me?" nagtatakang tanong ko kay Mamg pero hindi siya sumagot dahil siya rin mismo di alam yung isasagot
"What the hell is wrong with that old lady" naiinis na sabi ko tapos biglang hinawakan ni Mamu yung kamay ko
"Ysabel, language!" mahinahon na sabi niya sakin kaya tumango nalang ako
Habang nag iisip ako dito sa kinauupuan ko napansin ko na may ibinulong si Kuya Ryle dun sa lola nila.
"Ysabel, where are you, my dear?" tawag ulit ni Madam Athena sakin
"Why are you calling her?" rinig ko na tanong ni Mr. Yabang sa lola niya pero hindi ito sumagot
SHOCKS!!

"Why do I feel so nervous? I think something unexpected is about to happen" kinakabahang sabi ko sa sarili ko tsaka ako tumingin kina Mommy at Daddy na seryoso ang facial expression
Hindi lang pala ako ang nagugulat sa inaasta ngayon nung matandang yun dahil pati sarili kung magulang hindi rin maganda yung expression ng mukha.
"Why do I feel so nervous?" di mapakaling sabi ko tsaka nalang ako yumuko
"Ysabel" biglang tawag sakin ni Ate habang ako ay naka yuko pero hindi ko pa rin inangat yung ulo ko
Di ko na sana papansinin yung pagtawag sakin ni Ate kaso bigla akong siniko ni Mamu.
"Show some respect, Ysabel! Stop hiding! You should stand up since they are calling your name" bulong ni Mamu sakin kaya wala na akong nagawa kundi tumayo nalang
"There you are, my dear Ysabel" masayang sabi ni Madam Athena
At dahil sa pagtayo ko biglang nag bulungan yung mga tao.

I don't feel angry about that old lady mentioning my name, but instead I feel more scared and nervous because lots of people are looking at and talking about me.
Tapos pag tingin ko sa may harapan, nakita ko agad yung lalaking naka tayo katabi nung bagong kasal at halatang gulat na gulat rin shock nung makita niya akong tumayo.
Well, di lang naman siya ang nashock dahil pati rin ako nagulat nung nalaman ko na siya pala yung nakababatang kapatid ni Kuya Ryle at siya rin yung isa sa bff ng kapatid ko.
"Mamu, I'm scared" kinakabahang sabi ko kay Mamu kaya hinawakan nalang niya yung kamay ko dahil alam niyang natatakot ako
"There's nothing to be scared of, Ysabel, because I'm here. Just smile, my dear! Mamu, who is always here for you" mahinahon na sabi naman ni Mamu sakin kaya pinipilit ko nalang ngumiti kahit na feeling ko bibigay na yung tuhod ko sa sobrang takot
"Since today is a nice day, I want to announce that my youngest grandson Kyle is going to marry Ysabel, the granddaughter of my friend Pia" biglang sabi ni Madam Athena na siyang ikinagulat ko pati rin lahat ng taong nandito sa loob ng wedding hall

Sa sinabi niyang yun ay napa upo nalang talaga ako sa tabi ni Mamu dahil nanghina bigla yung buo kong katawan dahil sa sinabi niya.
I don't know how to react to what she has announced.
"Tama ba yung narinig ko?" di makapaniwalang tanong ko kay Mamu kaya niyakap nalang niya ako
"Ysabel, come here in front so you and my grandson can officially greet each other" sabi ulit Madam Athena tapos biglang inagaw ni Kuya Ryle yung mic mula sa lola niya
"My apologies! I think Grandma is a little bit drunk, so don't mind her! Grandma really loves making jokes like this when she's drunk!" sabi naman ni Kuya Ryle kaya yung gulat na mukha ng mga tao ngayon dito ay napalitan ng ngiti at tawa
"Get her out of here!" seryosong sabi ulit Kuya Ryle kaya naman hinatak ni Mr. Yabang yung lola nila palabas ng wedding hall tapos sumunod naman si Mommy at Daddy kasama si Papu
"Let's all go to the events hall! I hope everyone will enjoy the party" naka ngiting sabi ulit ni Kuya Ryle kaya naman nagpalakpakan lahat ng tao
My whole body is trembling because of what I've just heard. I suddenly feel so weak.
"Ysabel, you need to calm yourself! Don't let that announcement get into your head" sabi ni Mamu sabay yakap sakin
"Just cry it out, my dear. I know you want to cry, just let it out" mahinahon na sabi ni Mamu
I didn't expect this to happen today.
I hope what Kuya Ryle said is true! That everything is just a joke.
KYLE'S POV:
Di ko maiwasang di mag dabog nung maka labas kami ni grandma ng wedding hall.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" naiinis na tanong ko sa kanya kaya naman siya tumawa
"Are you really drunk?" di natutuwang tanong ko sa kanya pero umiling lang siya
"No! I'm not! I didn't have a sip of any alcoholic beverages" sagot naman niya
"If you're not drunk, then why do you keep saying nonsense inside?" seryosong tanong ko
"It's not nonsense and will never be" sagot naman niya sakin
"Can you stop controlling my life, grandma?" seryosong sabi ko sa kanya kaya tinignan niya ako ng sobrang seryoso
"You've been controlling my life since the day I was born! Are you still not satisfied with that? I'm already 16 years old! So can you please stop making decisions without consulting me first? As far as I remember, I'm at the right age to make my own decisions and to decide for myself now! So, I will choose the girl I will marry, and when will I get married? I'm sorry to disappoint you, grandma, but I won't marry that girl! Just kill me if you keep forcing me to marry her" sabi ko ulit sa kanya tapos biglang lumabas sa pinto yung parents nila Yvan na may kasamang matandang lalaki and I think Lolo nila ito
"Tita, how can you announce something like that without consulting us?" sabi ni Tita Allysa na mommy nila Yvan
"I'm sorry if I shocked all of you, but I mean everything I've said inside! Actually, that was Pia's wish before she died" sagot ni Grandma
"My mom's wish?" nagtatakang tanong naman ni Tito Steve kaya tumango si Grandma
"But as far as I'm concerned, I think this is not the right time to announce shocking news like that! I'm worried about how Ysabel will react to this. Lalo'nat masyado nang marami yung mga nangyayari sa kanya this couple of days" sabi nung Lolo ata nila Yvan
"What do you mean?" nagtatakang tanong ni Grandma sa kanila
"What you have said inside will trigger her anxiety attack! Ysabel is different from what you think. Her mentality is weak, especially when you do things like what you just did inside" worried na sabi nung Lolo
Why is this old man acting like her granddaughter will die because of that announcement?
"I'm only doing this because it's Pia's wish to make Kyle and Ysabel get married" sagot naman ni Grandma
"They are both young" sabi nung Lolo nila Yvan
"Tatanda rin naman sila! Look at Yra and Ryle! Yes, their marriage is an arranged marriage, but they still agreed to get married, and look at them now, they are a happy couple" sagot naman ni Grandma. Kilala ko si Grandma, wala sa vocabulary niya ang magpatalo dahil once na may gusto siya makukuha at makukuha niya ito.
"Yra and Ryle are different from them! They were already in college when we asked them to get married. It's a different matter on Ysabel and Kyle's side because they are still young and both of them are still in high school" pag explain naman ng Daddy nila Yvan
"I can show you the last letter Pia wrote para lang maniwala kayo sa mga sinasabi ko" sabi ni Grandma sabay hawak sa kamay nung Mommy nila Yvan
"Bruce, ginawa ko lang to dahil yun ang gusto ng kaibigan kung namayapa na" sabi ulit ni Grandma dun sa lolo nila Yvan tapos ako napahawak nalang sa batok dahil sa sobrang stress.
Di ko rin alam kung paano kasi ako magrereact!!
Mas lalo lang sumasakit yung ulo ko kapag iniisip ko yung mga sinasabi niya ni Grandma.
