Anna nodded off to sleep while North was directing the sleigh. It wasn't long until they arrived at the bottom of the mountain.
"Is this it?" Merida asked as the sleigh was beginning to land.
"Yep, we can't go to the top, we'll have to climb from the bottom." North replied.
"Oh man if only toothless were here, right dad?" Julius elbowed his father.
Hiccup smirked, "oh but he is."
"Huh?"
Hiccup whistled and it wasn't long until Toothless was in their location.
"But how?" Julius asked.
Merida wasn't surprised, she knew Hiccup always had tricks up his sleeve, so playful; probably one of the reasons she loved him.
"Well who said you can't teach an old dragon new tricks?" Hiccup smirked as he crossed his arms.
Jack landed with the group and looked up at the mountain,
"So what's our plan?"
"Well," North began, "isn't it obvious? We climb!"
"Errrr....I don't know about that." Anna stated, "I don't know if I have the right clothes.." She gripped the skirt of one of her every day dresses, blushing.
"No worries, you can still fly and look beautiful! I'm sure you can ride Toothless with us." Merida assured.
"Whoa whoa.. so we're just going to march in there and attack? no plan? nothing?" Jack asked.
"Since we don't have much time, there's not much we can do, Jack."
"Well we're all smart here and a smart thing to do would be not get us all killed!" Jack's voice grew stern.
"Fine then Jack, when you come up with a good idea then we can charge, but until then we'll set up camp." North turned and traveled into the snowy woods looking for shelter.
"Pitch it's too cramped in here I want to go for a walk."
"Why? I think it's nice and cozy."
"Ugh you have no sense in decoration either." Elsa said as she slumped on a very uncomfortable couch.
"Excuse me? You voluntarily joined me, did you not?"
"Yeah yeah whatever I'll be back."
Elsa got up and ventured out of the cavern at the top of the mountain.
Good thing it were dark otherwise the sun would of probably burned her eyes.
She didn't have many places to go; except down.
"Hmm...." She thought for a second looking down at the dark earth beneath her.
She shrugged and jumped.
Elsa was smiling the whole time.
"This... is... amazing!!"
She realized she should create a pillow of snow beneath her to cushion the fall.
She did so while rolling in her landing and laughed.
"I never knew being free felt this great!"
She sighed as she brushed the snow off of herself.
She suddenly heard voices a fair distance away.
Curiously and slowly she peered from behind a tree.
She gasped at what she saw.
A campfire, people and a dragon?
Toothless!
She squinted as she tried to get good looks at the people sitting around the fire.
The bushy red hair was a dead giveaway to Merida, next to her was Hiccup.
An odd looking group peered to the right of Merida, a large burly man wearing a red jacket, a colored bird lady, a..a rabbit? and a golden midget.
She softly laughed. "This must be a dream." There's no way such people could exist.
She continued to scan the area when she saw a slim figure sitting on a log next to another figure holding a stick.
As she looked closer she noticed the slim feminine figure looked so oddly familiar.
Strawberry blonde hair, pigtailed braids... Anna!
She gasped as she also realized that next to Anna was her father.
She backed away as she noticed she wasn't in a dream.
They've come to take me back...
She thought.
She needed to get out of there, and fast. She needed to warn Pitch.
She was about to turn and take flight when the sound a branch snapping caught her attention.
She turned toward the direction it came from and noticed a small squirrel simply starring back at her.
"Phew, harmless little guy" she sighed relieved.
She turned back toward the direction she was heading but ran into something-- or someone.
"Eh?" she slowly looked up at what/who was blocking her path.
Long legs, a fair torso, green eyes looking down at her...
She gasped, "Julius.."
"Elsa...?" He stared down at her.
Pitch gazed at his orb, checking the whereabouts of the guardians.
"I wonder if those fools are close."
As the blurry picture appeared on the orb Pitch was shocked.
"No! ...Elsa!" He ran outside to the edge of the mountain.
Panting in fear that his plans would be ruined he disappeared as a shadow.
"Ah...." Elsa's heart was beating tremendously fast as she looked to escape. She didn't want to hurt him, she didn't want to hurt anybody.
Elsa backed away and tried to get around him slowly.
"Please... Let me go. I'm free, I'm happy."
"Elsa, I can't do that.." He began coming closer.
"Please, I came here so I wouldn't hurt anybody.."
"Eh? But then why-"
They both turned toward the rest of the guardians when the fire had suddenly gone out.
"What the heck!" Merida jumped.
"Sh..shh.." North and Jack stood up.
"Anna, stay behind me." Jack said sternly.
They were quiet, there wasn't a sound except the sizzling embers on the dead fire.
An evil chuckle echoed around the camp site.
Meanwhile, Julius grabbed Elsa's hand and pulled her to hide behind a large shrub.
Elsa was thankful it was dark and Julius couldn't see her face as red as a tomato.
They both watched the scene.
"Pitch!" Jack yelled.
"Come out you coward!" Merida beamed, bow in hand.
Toothless growled as he turned and sensed Pitch's presence.
Anna got goosebumps as her father stood in front of her.
She felt a something cold suddenly cast over her.
Shaking, she turned around to see a tall scary figure standing overtop of her.
"Boo."
Jack immediately turned around and flew in front of Anna.
"Stay away from her Pitch." Jack furrowed his eyes.
Pitch only smirked, not saying a word.
Anna slowly backed up as the guardians joined Jacks position.
"I suppose you've come for my dear Elsa, hm?" Pitch playfully said.
Jack's blood boiled, "she belongs at home, with her family, and she is definitely not yours." He pointed his staff at Pitch.
"Oh come now Jack, don't you know I'm doing the world a favor?"
"Liar!" Jack took off toward Pitch.
By the time he reached Pitch, he had disappeared.
Jack looked around the area and stopped when he noticed Pitch appearing in front of Anna from under the ground.
"No!" Jack attempted to run toward her.
Anna froze as she gazed up at the frightening tall man.
She looked over at a sharp icicle that was well in reach if she moved quickly. She attempted to move, however her feet were locked in place; like glue.
It was a spell.
She reached for the ice, but it was too far.
"Piiiitch!!" Jack was racing right for them.
"Goodnight, little Princess." Pitch laughed as he touched her head and disappeared.
Anna's vision went dark and she fell to the ground.
Behind the bush Elsa was in shock, she covered her mouth with her hand.
Pitch just hurt her sister.
"Anna...." she had tears in her eyes. This was not at all what was supposed to happen.
Elsa stood up, and Julius followed.
"Please don't flee again, Elsa... We need you at home." Julius said.
Elsa looked at the scene with her sister, then back at Julius.
"I...I....this is all my fault.." She whimpered.
"You're coming back." A dark voice interrupted, catching both of their attentions.
It was Pitch.
Immediately Elsa turned an backed away and Julius drew his sword.
"You hurt her Pitch... how could you? You said this would be harmless and I wouldn't have a care... you said I'd be free!" Elsa bellowed.
A tear fell down her face and the wind picked up greatly, causing snow to fall from some trees.
"Too bad, we had a deal." Pitch said as a dark shadow wrapped around Elsa's body.
"It.. it's too tight....Pitch...!" Elsa struggled to breathe a little, "Ju...lius.."
Julius tried to move, but like Anna his feet were locked to the ground by darkness, the spell. He couldn't move his legs at all.
"Elsa!!" Julius called as Pitch was beginning to travel into a shadow with Elsa in captivity.
"Elsa! Listen to me! You need to come home! You're mother will die if you don't! Please! She needs you, we need you! I need you!"
"Wha.." Elsa's tears kept forming.
Tooth, North, Merida and Hiccup came to check out the commotion.
Merida gasped.
"It can't be..." Hiccup stared.
Pitch was annoyed, "you've said too much, enjoy your nightmare fool." Pitch shot a dark shadow at Julius and disappeared.
"Julius!!!" Elsa screamed before they disappeared.
Julius hit the ground.
Except Julius awoke about a minute later.
He stood up and brushed himself off.
He turned to his mother who was on the ground beside him, she looked surprised. He then turned to North who was standing a few feet away.
"Mother, father, North...." He trailed on, "the Man in Moon told me I was a protector.. he saved me from the nightmare."
"Glad to know Manny's still good and well up there." North snickered.
"We should get back to the others and Anna..." Tooth suggested and they all agreed.
He also told the prophecy of the three elemental guardians....
Elsa, me, and Anna.
Julius thought in his head as he walked back with the others.
