"Are you sure you're not
in any pain, Shiloh?"
"Yeah I'm fine, stop worrying about me." I smiled as he pushed in the chair as I sat
down at the dining table.
He sat on the other side of the table with a nervous smile, the dim lights from the ceiling of the restaurant revealed the gold strands in his brunette locks. His white shirt was ironed and wrinkle free because he spent so much time doing it; he always wants to make sure everything is perfect.
He shook his head and rubbed my hand with his thumb, "Okay you're right, I need to stop. I just want to make sure you're good--you look beautiful tonight, it's cute how everyone except
me got to sign your cast."
I rolled my eyes letting out a small laugh, "You didn't ask, plus it filled up quickly. You already have your mark on me, literally."
His light brown eyes flickered from the mark and then back to my eyes once again,
"Good. It'll be there forever."
He used his other hand to look at the menu while his right hand was still interlocked with mine: sending little tingles up my arm. I skimmed the menu of extravagant food which made my mouth water at the sight of them all.
"Ravioli?"
"You know me so well."
"Good Evening Alpha and Luna, my name is Angela and I'll be your waitress this evening. May we start with something to drink?" A tall red head woman smiled as he took out her notepad
and a black pen as well. I could see her brown eyes checking him out, making me bite the side of my
cheek to stop my self.
August interrupted me before I could answer her, "Two waters and a bottle of red wine. Oh and please stop eyeing me like that, I have a beautiful mate in front of me; That's disrespectful to me and especially her, please just do your job."
Her pale cheeks began to redden in embarrassment, she nodded quickly while scribbling down the order: "I'm so sorry, Alpha and Luna--"
"Just get the drinks please." He shut her up making her nod and speed away in the
direction of the kitchen.
"Thanks."
"No problem, I don't like it when they don't take the hint. Everyone knows I'm with you but they still try to separate us: it's pathetic."
"I can never imagine being without you. Well maybe if someone paid me--"
He glared at me and let go of my hands making me burst out laughing, "I'm just joking August, you need to learn to take a joke once in a while."
"How did I deal with your ass for 2 months." He muttered making slap his hand jokingly. A new waiter was sent to our table, he placed the drinks before pulling out his pad.
"Angela had a family emergency, so she had to leave early.My name is Ryan and I'll be your new waiter--Do you guys know what you want to order?"
He smiled at us and gripping his pen.
August smiled, "Yes, 2 orders
of spinach Ravioli please."
"Good choice, they'll be coming out soon." He grabbed the menus before walking
to the next table.
We sat there talking and then our food finally came out. August quickly dig into his plate like he hadn't eaten for weeks, I just watched at the sight in front of me in amusement.
My phone started buzzing, August picked his head up quickly, with his mouth full he said:
"Who's calling you?"
"I don't know, it's a blocked number." I replied before pressing the green button and held my
phone up to my ear.
"Hello."
"Why aren't you eating your ravioli?" A man asked making my heart stop and my whole body froze, August noticed because he furrowed
his brows together.
He sounds familiar.
"Um excuse me, what are you talking about?" I coughed out confused, august motioned me to give him my phone but I didn't budge.
"I'm here, why aren't you eating? It's a shame to have that food go to waste. I'm pretty sure the Alpha would appreciate it if you didn't waste
his money like that."
I peeked my head out of the booth, looking all around us to see other people in the restaurant, many of them were taking on the phone.
Where is he?
"Who are you?"
"You look lavishing gorgeous tonite Luna: that dress really shows off your perfect body. Your large--" Then the phone was ripped out my hand by August. He placed it to his ear:
"What the hell do you want? Who the fuck do you think you are?!" He snarled into the phone and then I could hear that the man ended the phone call. August ran a hand through his jelled
back hair in frustration;
"Who the hell was that?"
"I don't know. He sounded familiar."
I grabbed my fork and was about to pick up a ravioli but August slapped it out of my hand. "You're not eating that, you don't know if someone put something in there. We are going home right now: I'm trusting no one."

"Do you have the key?"
"Yeah." I replied and pulling the pack house keys out of my purse and handing it to him. I could hear shushes from behind the door making my eyes widen: oh hell no.
I'm going to kill lea.
He pushed the door open and then the lights turned on revealing all the pack members packed into the front room with party hats. "Surprise! Happy birthday Alpha August!"
My jaw dropped as I hopped into the room, August's eyes hardened at the old picture of him hanging from balloons: especially the one's with
him and his mother.
The room remained quiet as they all watched their Alpha. Their smile quickly faded away. He slowly turned to me, "I told you to not throw me a party."
"It wasn't--"
He placed his hand up in front of my face stopping me from finishing "Just save it, I don't want to hear it, you know what this reminds me of."
Then he left the room and walked up the stairs, the creaking was the only sound being heard at the moment. My heart felt heavy: I could see the tears starting to form in his eyes, but he didn't want them to fall in front of his pack.
"I didn't do this."
"Shi, I didn't know he would act like that."
Lea apologized with sad look on her face, I just shook my head and licked my lips.
"It's okay, thanks everyone." I replied before walking with my crutches,
"Here let me carry you." Chris pressed and picked me up in his arms and began his
way up the stairs.
"I tried to tell her, but you know her stubborn ass." Chris reminded but I barely paid
any attention to him.
"He probably hates me."
"Yeah."
I glared at him, he helped me with my crutches and opened the door for me. I told him good night before closing the door behind me, I look up to see that the room was empty but the balcony
door was wide open.
Please don't tell
me he jumped.
I let a sight of relief when I saw him standing there smoking a cigarette, I made my way over there so I was standing at the door.
"Why? Why do you have to remind me of her again?" He whispered: you could hear
his voice breaking,"Why?"
