I woke up to the feeling of Shawn's lips on my forehead.
"Wake up, baby. We need to get you cleaned up," he whispered, kissing my forehead again.
I moved a little bit, and that's when I felt it.
There was something wet in my pants.
Oh my God. I had forgotten to put on a pad when I went to sleep. I knew that today would be the start of this month's cycle.
Before I knew it, I was already red from embarrassment. I mean, who wouldn't be when you leaked all over your boyfriend's bed?
"Oh my God. I'm so sorry," I apologized, looking at him.
He wasn't even mad. His eyes were just relaxed and full of love as he looked at me.
"You don't have to be. It's normal, baby," he stated. "Now then, I'm gonna pick you up. Is that okay?"
"I can walk by myself, Shawn," I said, trying not to get my blood all over his arm or something.
"Baby, it's nothing to be embarrassed about," he cooed. "It's alright."
"I have to clean this up," I said. "Ugh I'm so sorry for this."
"I'll do it. I know you feel like shit right now, so why not just wash up and let me do the cleaning?" he offered.
"But-"
"No buts," he said, picking me up and going to the bathroom. He put me down on my feet, handing me a towel before going out the door, giving me some privacy.
How can someone be this wonderful? I thought to myself. I surely had to thank him for everything. He wasn't even mad about all this. He wasn't even disgusted when I was.
When I was done doing my business in the bathroom, I noticed that he had prepared some clothes and undergarments for me to wear. And of course, what I meant by 'clothes' was his clothes that I wore almost every time I came over.
I put everything on, and exited the bathroom. I saw him lying on the bed with newly changed sheets.
"You wanna go get some breakfast?" he asked. "Anything you want," he added.
"First off, thank you for everything. Second of all, yes. I would very much like some breakfast. Can we get chipotle?" I asked.
"First off, it's no problem. Second of all, chipotle isn't even breakfast food," he said, laughing.
"But you said I could get anything I want," I fake-whined.
"What I meant was any breakfast food you want. I don't want you having diarrhea for having chipotle for breakfast," he explained, chuckling.
"You have a point. How about the bakery down the street? I heard they have amazing muffins," I asked.
"Did you just say muffins?"
"Yeah. I'm sure I did," I said, grinning.
"I'm in. And we're having an Ed-Sheeran-only music in the car," he said, grabbing his phone and wallet.
"Patience," I laughed. "Let me change my clothes."
"Did you just use my own song title against me?"
"I'm afraid I did, Mendes."
"Okay, whatever. Go and change. I need my muffins as soon as possible."
