and the charger all
ready to go.
her stomach was fluttering
and her heart was stuttering
and she was having trouble
keeping her breathing normal.
she waited and waited
for the beep,
the rotating ball
and then...

she kept waiting,
staring at the screen
from every area of the room
she wandered to.
and then,
the beep.

the rotating ball.
she jumped,
running to the computer
and sitting urgently
in front of it.
and then,
him.
he was smiling,
his eyes shining and
his hair everywhere from just
waking up.
and as they stared at each other,
grinning like idiots,
she started to cry,
her hand fluttering to the screen
and running over it softy.
